Broson Contracting

I had the pleasure of dealing with James and Ryan for our large basement suite renovation and these guys were top notch. We had to gut and redo everything from top to bottom, so it was a very large project. I actually usually hate dealing with any trades, as our experience has not been positive. Broson was the complete opposite. We found them to be kind and courteous, high attention to detail, full quote with no surprises, excellent communicators, on time, clean, knowledgeable, hardworking, and so much more. This is by far the best experience I have had dealing with any contractor period. I would not only recommend them to friends and family, but I will be using them again on my next project.

We had a full basement suite renovation. James & his team were amazing. From the moment we first contracted Broson we felt at ease. They are all a reflection of how a great a company should be. There are a lot of so call contractors, but James was outstanding with his attention to detail & genuine care for not only the job but myself. I would highly recommend James and his team and would not hesitate to call for any other jobs I have.

From the first contact until the completion of our renovation, Ryan and his team were fantastic! Ryan gave us a fair quote in a timely manner. Throughout our project, Ryan was an effective communicator and kept us informed of current and next steps. Ryan discussed any possible alterations with us and there were no hidden costs. He was very reliable and skilled. His attention to detail was notable. Ryan managed his sub-trades well. One of his sub-trades did some work that was not according to specifications, and Ryan took the initiative to have it redone at no additional cost to ensure it was up to his high standards. Ryan always ensured our home was clean and tidied at the end of the day. After our project was completed, one of our faucets was dripping (manufacturer defect) and Ryan worked with us to ensure this was properly fixed. We highly recommend Ryan and his team for your next home project!

To me a good contractor is judged on these categories, communication, Quoting process, Reliability and Skill. Communication - The communication was always within same day and for much of the time within 4 hours of me asking a question. This level of communication was before the quote, during the quote and after the deposit was paid. He promised to start the first day of work on a Tuesday but weather caused a delay at another job site and he called me the day before to let me know. It was nice to be informed instead of wondering why a contractor never showed up. I was away for a few days, he sent texts and he took pictures to keep me up to date on the progress. Quote process - During the quoting process he made it a point to look take into account all the things that could go wrong due to the condition of the structure underneath since it was hidden until demolition occurred. Thankfully the structure underneath was fine and the price and time he took to complete was exactly as quoted. Reliability - He said he would start work on a certain day and be finished within a week of starting. He started 1 day late but called me the day before to inform me he couldn't make it the next day. Other than that minor change he came as promised, demolished everything and rebuilt everything. As promised, on time and on budget. Skill - Everything looks and feels very solid. Visually it looks great.
