In 2022, Chuckanut Builders (CB) completed a remodel of our old home in the Fairhaven Neighborhood in Bellingham, WA. We presented CB with a house plans drawn by Brewster Design/Build, and after meeting with us, we all agreed to sign a contract and proceed. We also worked with a very talented and helpful interior designer who made the kinds of decisions CB leaves to the client (light fixtures, trim style, etc.). What did we like about CB? What didn't we like?! We appreciated their transparency and accounting of all the expenses. They track it with a software program that they shared with us through the entire remodel. This helped us track the costs and watch the progress. In addition, we had weekly meetings onsite where we provided them with material selections, reviewed the work, discuss small design changes, and problem solved when needed. They handled the whole process with professionalism and good humor, which goes a long way in a remodel! The workmanship, including that of the subs they use, resulted in a well-done remodel that meets all our needs. We feel very fortunate to have had CB for our remodel. We really couldn't be happier!

Chuckanut Builders is a professional firm, who is very thorough and pays attention to detail. They are knowledgeable about building in the Pacific Northwest. Their work quality is excellent. Our project was time and materials, and they were near their estimated costs. We felt they could have used their time more efficiently, which would lower costs and projects would be finished within deadlines.

This bedroom addition was my first project of this size and with a construction company. Everything was new! YIKES! If I can tell you one thing about Chuckanut Builders, it would be that they produce high quality work using A-list professionals. We are so glad we chose them to work with us to build our pre-paneled eco-home. We enjoy the workmanship every day.

We did a major renovation of an almost 100 year-old home with Chuckanut Builders while we were living in the home and we can honestly say it was PAINLESS!!! Not only are they very talented craftsmen but also unbelievably neat and tidy and extraordinarily professional. We felt very well-informed every step of the way and the project totally stayed on budget. Oddly enough we actually missed them a little bit the first few days after the renovation was complete!

We were apprehensive about building a new house on a tricky lot, but Chuckanut Builders made it happen in spectacular style. They took our architect's plans and made them a reality adding so much attention to detail and creative solutions. We hired Chuckanut Builders to do a "down to the studs" renovation of the second floor of our house, along with comprehensive energy upgrades. They did a fantastic job and I would not hesitate to recommend them or hire them again. Every one of their employees we worked with was friendly, courteous, thoughtful, and committed to doing good work and getting the job done right. Chuckanut made a schedule and stayed close to it throughout, even when a few complications arose. We especially appreciated their dedication to sustainable and environmentally friendly building practices, and we appreciated that they went to extra efforts to leave the job site clean on Fridays so we could explore the work over the weekend. The finished product, almost a year later, still looks great and makes us happy. I think their motto is something like, "Committed to the community, committed to the craft" and they're succeeding at both.

Chuckanut Builders renovated our kitchen in the summer of 2014. They were responsive, organized, and ensured that the subcontractors were timely with their respective jobs. The onsite supervisor, Mike, was a pleasure to work with and worked diligently to ensure no detail was missed. We would recommend them without hesitation.

We found Chuckanut Builders insulation team to be professional, easy to work with and they took measures to keep the house clean. It was also nice to work with contractors that started each morning on time, were easy to talk to and kept us informed on the projects progress . The only bump in the road we hit was the starting date bounced around a bit but once they started they did a great job. We would hire them again without question.

I have had the pleasure to work with Chuckanut Builders on two projects this past year. They are great communicators, extremely detail oriented, and knowledgeable of their craft.
