Construction Owl

We hired Construction Owl to build a guesthouse in the backyard of our Echo Park home. Guy, the owner, met with us to discuss our rough plan and offered helpful suggestions for improvement. Guy handled the process of generating a final plan and securing all permits for the project and put us in touch with reputable, knowledgeable vendors for doors, windows, tile, etc. Demolition of an existing structure and construction of the new one went smoothly, including some rather complicated sewer-line work. Any minor concerns we had were addressed promptly, and the various workers were always willing to answer our questions about the project. When the city threw in a last-minute requirement for a waste water drainage line to the street, the company also dealt with this. Guy’s people were on-site for the inspections all the way up to the final one, and the project came in on budget. Our new guesthouse looks great, and we recommend Construction Owl to anyone interested in building something similar.

We were introduced to Construction Owl through a friend who raved about their work on a major home remodel. Guy immediately impressed us with his knowledge and style-sense. He created the perfect plan for our home remodel and was very responsive to our requests. Our remodel was a major project and every step of the way, Guy and his team were extremely professional and on time! We never had to wait for his subcontractors to show up and there was no lag time. Each of the subcontractors were highly qualified in their field and they did beautiful work. We highly recommend Construction Owl! We get so many compliments on our home and it’s all thanks to the great work done by this company. If we do any other construction projects we will definitely call Guy at Construction Owl.

We hired Construction Owl to complete the remodel of our kitchen, including removing a load bearing wall between our kitchen and living room to create one large open space. From the moment we started the project with Construction Owl, we were knew we were in good hands. Guy Hazan is the main designer and contractor. He came to our house, listened to our ideas, and immediately "got" what we wanted to do. In that first meeting, he provided us with specific feedback that enhanced our original idea. Guy is smart, professional, enthusiastic, and kind. He's a wonderful professional, and an even better person. Guy's crew is as wonderful and professional as he is. Guy and his brother David oversaw all the work, from the demo and framing crew, to the fabulous electrician took care of all our requests, to the various crews who came to install the floors, cabinets, counters and tile back splash. Each crew was hard working, kind, thoughtful, and clean. Every detail was attended to, and every concern or question we had was addressed, above and beyond our expectations. Guy told us the project might take about 8 weeks, but incredibly, the project was completed in just over 6 weeks. And it was on budget. We are so very grateful to have found Guy and Construction Owl. We recommend them with highest recommendations, and are so grateful to Guy and his entire crew for their care of us and our home. We love our new space, and have Guy and his team to thank.

We did a lot of research to find the right contractor to build us a free-standing recreation room. We actually hired a different contractor first, simply based on having the lowest price. What a terrible decision. We quickly came to regret it, and fired that contractor as soon as we could — a costly misjudgment. Even though Owl Construction’s cost was a bit more, though very reasonable, we knew he was the right contractor for us. Guy Hazan of Owl Construction is fantastic. He was so easy to work with. He’s a compassionate listener, and kept us informed and at ease through the entire process. I don’t know much about construction, and had never undergone a project of this size, but Guy was there every step of the way. He explained everything very clearly and addressed any questions or concerns we had from day one to the completion of the project. Also, he has a great eye for design, helping to make good structural and aesthetic decisions throughout. I also must mention the Amazing Anesta. Anesta is a gem to this company. She kept the communication light and easy, and got the job done. She is responsive, dependable, organized and kind. The final building is stunning. The contractors did such a great job all around. To think what a nightmare it would have been to have continued with that original contractor who bullied and didn’t listen. Owl Construction was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I worked with Anesta and Guy to set up my gym, and they were AWESOME! Here are some highlights: Guy, the owner returned my first call and answered all my questions on a weekend during off hours Guy himself came to our site to give us a free estimate When I called the office, Anesta knew me by name even though we had not talked yet Anesta set me up with a wonderful handyman when their guy hurt his back Anesta was able to accommodate last minute schedule changes on my part - twice - without missing my deadline The work their handyman, Danny, did was flawless and on time and under-budget! In addition to all of this, they were gracious and kind and lovely and honest the whole time. If you want this kind of experience, call them!

Construction Owl remodeled our main bathroom. It was an original 1967 bathroom. It now looks like a contemporary spa style bathroom, which is exactly what I wanted. Guy, the owner of the company, gave us lots of guidance with the decorating part of the remodel. We met at the tile store where he spent time with me choosing the right tile combo for the floor, shower, and walls. They got the job done in a timely manner. The price was reasonable compared to other estimates we got. I love my new bathroom! We will use Construction Owl for future remodeling in our home.

I wanted to write a little note to express my satisfaction of the work done on my parents' house. I made an excellent choice in selecting Construction Owl. The work was done one time as planned and the workers were very polite and hard workers. They were always on task, they did their job and when they were done the area was clean. I will be calling you again for other jobs.
