We hired Creative Spaces to do a major remodel and addition to our home in Berkeley. This was a whole house remodel inside and out with new doors and windows, new kitchen and baths. There wasn’t much that went untouched. Creative Spaces helped guide us through a complex project, and was communicative regarding the ins and outs of the process, which was important to me. Creative Spaces had weekly meetings where we discussed upcoming decisions and were able to change things on the fly. I continue to use them in an ongoing basis to maintain my house.

I hired Creative Spaces for an extensive remodel on my home and have used them for years for the ongoing maintenance and care of our property. It was an incredibly difficult design to pull off - in that we had very exacting design details - the kind only true craftsmen could pull off. The house is over 13 years old, and a stonesman came in the other day and said "is this place 2 or 3 years old?" and I laughed, because of course it's not. How well it's held up speaks to how well it was built in the first place. They are an upstanding company - and it feels family run, which is rare nowadays - and you will be dealing with the boss if you work with them. They can size up or down depending on the job - and are humble about their work. They come in right in the mid-range with their bids - yet you get top quality work. I highly recommend them - don't let their modest demeanor full you - they are quite talented.

CS remodeled our kitchen 2+ years ago. Excellent job. Small space and big changes with utilities and appliances required on site supervision, on the job problem-solving and familiarity with a range of finish materials. Came in under budget. Worked well with our designer. Good communication with us throughout the job. Haven't needed to call about anything since! CS also took care of other smaller projects we needed done (beyond the kitchen -- e.g., new skylights) at the same time. My wife and I are both very pleased with the work they did.
