Quit on me before contracted work was completed. Refused to clarify expenses. Deck started in February 2021 still not completed as of January 2022.

Great guy, very knowledgeable. Work was excellent and very nice. We had a lot of renovation work on expanding lower room in house, cabinets, flooring, sauna installed and sound systems. Patio expansion etc. Would recommend Doug Wade for all your build needs in the Sedona area.

Excellent quality work by D. Wade Construction and subcontractor David Harvey (owner of Red Rock Flooring). Doug Wade oversaw the entire remodeling of a home that was in good structural shape but very dated in décor, replacing the wall to wall carpeting with engineered hardwood, putting in a completely new kitchen including all new appliances and replacing tile with granite throughout, converting a workshop into an art studio, replacing the old central air (and ductwork) with a quiet and efficient system, completely remodeling three bathrooms, re-painting and installing new carpet in 3 bedrooms, upgrading the fireplace and adjoining walls with stacked stone and travertine, and improving lighting including installing five ceiling fans and bringing numerous electrical features up to modern code. He also did some work on the exterior, repairing wood rot and repainting the extensive deck. The cost was higher than expected and there were some over-runs, some of which was due to my decision to expand scope of work after the project started, but some of which was due to overly optimistic estimates by Doug and a few surprises that were encountered once work commenced. There were some problems with the quality of the work by the painting subcontractor selected by Doug, so he had to have that work re-done. One unique requirement of the project was that we had Doug paint and re-purpose the old kitchen cabinetry for use elsewhere in the home, such as the laundry room, garage, and studio. The work took longer than anticipated but the final result was outstanding and exceeded expectations.

Doug and his crews came promptly, worked tirelessly and solved unexpected issues that arose during our major patio remodel. All the people who work with him are friendly, polite and dealt well with our requests to always lock our gate so our dogs couldn't get out. While the work took longer than the initial estimate I really can't attribute that to Doug or his crews. We simply hit unexpected snags that had to be resolved as the work went on. The men worked long and hard to get this project done quickly. The result was exactly what we wanted!

Doug Wade Construction performed both major infrastructure system upgrades as well as house updates, changing our house from a 1970's style to a modern and visually compelling home. The remodel transformed the house from a tired older house to a light filled, modern home that invites you in and provides a sense of space and quiet with an easy flow for entertaining. The remodel was extensive and included: restructuring the roof lines in the main living area for visual impact, added insulation, design and implementation of a new fireplace wall and fireplace tile, remodeled master and guest bathrooms (new vanities, faucets, toilets and light fixtures) giving a delightfully integrated feel and color scheme. The kitchen remodel included new countertops, new appliances and faucets as well as a set of light fixtures that complement the newly created space. The exterior work, transformed the backyard into an appealing set of small unique spaces of visual interest for relaxing, entertaining and everyday living. It includes both the construction of several retaining walls, irrigation systems, fence enclosures and a new covered porch. The infrastructure upgrades (hvac, insulation, new energy efficient windows) were executed efficiently and cost effectively. We are very pleased with the work and feel that we have a 'new' house.

I am a proffessional kitchen designer who works with D Wade on his projects. I can say that Dougs attention to detail, meeting the need of his clients, and his level of professionalism are top shelf. Further, he is a joy to work with as his experience and professionalism are equally matched with breathing "fun" into a project. Doug is a highly skilled, highly engaged contractor who can navigate even the most complex remodels.

I hired Wade construction because I seen his other work and finished jobs at several other homes. Working with him was easy and the job of reinforcing, recanting/ rebuilding two separate parts of my roof and new roof turned out perfect. I would use him again and again and recommend his work to all for any building or remodeling they might need. HIs attention to detail is excellent and the job was done right on time.

Since 20098I have used Doug Wade Construction as a general contractor on several occasions on both large and small jobs. Nice to have an old school professional who knows how to do it right. I wish had found him earlier. Half of what he has done was fix the low bid work we had done by other Verde Valley contractors and handy men. Doug has done stairs, ceilings, walls, decks and doors for me. He also saved me thousands with a little fix when the roof and gutter guys where trying to sell me major work. He was honest and timely in all our dealings and did quality work at our under budget. I could not give a better recommendation then that.

Doug is know for the quality work he does on new home, remodels, and small jobs and he has certainly proved it with the work he did on our place. Not only helping with some very menial tasks, but providing some really quality options and workmanship on our place. Doug is so easy going, easy to get along with and always acceptable with our terms. I recommend Doug for any building job large or small.
