I hired D2A Construction to renovate three bathrooms, redo the kitchen, and replace the first-floor flooring — a major project that took close to a year. I'd do it again without hesitation. Dani was a genuine collaborator on the kitchen and bathroom designs. He brought ideas to the table, helped me refine my vision, made recommendations on finishes and appliances, and connected me directly with tile and quartz distributors he had relationships with so I could make material selections. His office manager Sabina was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout. I have the kitchen I'd been dreaming about for ten years and beautiful, functional bathrooms. Highly recommend.

Proceed with extreme caution. We hired D2A for an extensive renovation that included whole-home interior paint, a full kitchen remodel, new flooring throughout the house, a fireplace renovation, and an upgraded electrical panel. We were promised an October 2025 completion date, but the project was not finished until the end of April 2026. What should have been an exciting renovation became a prolonged and stressful experience due to a lack of oversight, quality control, and project management. Once the contract was signed, the level of involvement and management dropped significantly. We repeatedly found ourselves identifying problems, directing workers, and inspecting work that should have been reviewed internally before reaching us. The volume of issues was unacceptable. Our stairs were initially installed with finishing nails sticking up and severely uneven steps, requiring a full redo. Cabinet paint and installation required extensive correction, causing months of delays. The backsplash was installed incorrectly and had to be completely redone. Flooring was installed over an uneven foundation, and options for properly addressing the issue were not discussed until after the work was complete. These were not minor punch-list items. They were significant, avoidable mistakes that reflected a lack of craftsmanship, attention to detail, communication, and oversight. While most issues were eventually corrected at no additional cost, that came only after weeks of debate, persistent follow-up, and extensive involvement on our part. We spent countless hours documenting problems, creating correction plans, and taking time away from work to supervise repairs. Workers frequently arrived without information that had already been communicated to D2A and relied on us for direction regarding what needed to be fixed. We also experienced a noticeable difference in communication. Questions from wife were often met with a dismissive or belittling tone, while the same questions from husband received more professional responses. The project ran roughly six months late and created real costs for our family. We incurred Airbnb expenses with our young child during portions of the extended construction because the home was not safe to occupy. Most concerning, during final sign-off, when the cost to address the uneven foundation beneath the flooring was discussed, Dani offered to cover that work if both husband and wife would leave positive reviews. Because online reviews played a role in our decision to hire D2A, this raised serious concerns about the credibility of the company’s reputation. Our experience was defined by avoidable mistakes, repeated rework, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. We would not hire D2A again.
