In 2006, we hired Daniel Martin Construction to rebuild our existing house (1954 construction) around its shell and add a double-deck attached garage. This was a huge project, and unlike common construction horror stories one hears, we experienced no gaps in service, no delays, and no excuses. Crew members were professional and on-site every day, rain or shine, working to completion. Owner Dan Martin was on site frequently monitoring progress, managing issues as they arose and coordinating with subcontractors. Through his lifetime of work in construction, Dan has developed great relationships with skilled tradesmen in every field, and when he puts in a call to a subcontractor, Dan gets an immediate response. In addition to liaising with quality subcontractors, Dan Martin has a great rapport with his crew. He hires – and retains – excellent workers who are knowledgeable and conscientious, as well as polite and helpful. We’ve especially appreciated working with and counting on Ryan over the years. He was just starting on the construction crew that built our “Garaj Mahal,” and has become like family as he’s worked his way up to second-in-command. Daniel Martin Construction does not just build a garage, or a kitchen, or a bathroom - Daniel Martin Construction builds relationships. This is evidenced by the fact that original clients continue to call him as construction or remodeling needs arise, often over the course of decades. I think it is important to note that Daniel Martin Construction does not cut corners, skimp on materials or work cheaply. You do get what you pay for, however, and your bills will include copies of all receipts for materials and a breakdown of labor and costs. You know where your money is going, and can rest assured that if anything should go wrong during or after construction, one call to Dan will get it resolved straightaway. We were so pleased with the results of our original project that, as funds became available, we’ve hired Daniel Martin Construction several more times to remodel our kitchen, our master bath, and to build retaining walls, fences and a structure to house our outdoor pool. Dan’s also proved to be a valuable resource for referrals when we’ve needed regular household repairs and maintenance

Dan and his very courteous and professional crew remodeled our home in 2007-8. This was a very extensive remodel that nearly gutted our entire downstairs that included raising a roof line and putting on a new roof, moving our kitchen to the other side of the house, putting in two new heat pumps, a new gas fireplace, a new 50 foot ipe deck, etc. Our house was nearly unrecognizable from its prior self. It was utterly fantastic work that we are very thankful that we did. All the work was done in a timely manner over about an 8 month period with no periods of waiting. We were informed throughout the process concerning costs and were continuously working with Dan on changes to the original architectual plans. Highly recommended for a home remodel.

We chose Dan Martin to build two homes for us after interviewing several other contractors. Dan brings to the table decades of experience, he has seen it all and has extensive knowledge that only comes from someone who has been in the industry for so many years. The other aspect of that is he has a vast network of subcontractors he uses that include more than just one for each discipline so if one of his subs is busy he can move to another that is just as experienced and that he can rely on to get the job done properly. Dan's personality is such that he doesn't get shaken by much, he handles every situation calmly and with a positive can-do attitude looking at solutions rather than pitfalls. His attention to craftsmanship and techniques that you won't find with other contractors shows you he is willing to go the extra mile for you. And his contractor fees are very reasonable considering his experience in the field. When it comes to something as important as your home, I have personally found that the more I communicate the more your contractor will better understand what you want and need. With Dan, I was involved quite a bit as I am a designer and want things just so, he didn't have an issue with me taking on certain tasks and collaborating on the designs I created, and when there were gaps in clarity he provided solutions. So whether you are 100% hands off or partially involved, Dan is able to work with you at your level of need and expectation. He built our main house finishing it in 2015, and just finished up our mother-in-law house in 2018. He helped us plan for the future construction by making sure we took care of the things needed on the first project in order to save time and money on the second project by putting in certain infrastructure needed so we didn't have to tear into things later. These projects stayed within the budgets we worked through in the beginning as well as the timelines discussed. We are extremely happy with our home as well as the mother-in-law house he has built for us!

I had water damage to the front of my home, so i called Daniel Martin Construction to come replace and repair the damaged areas. The entire crew that worked on my home was very knowledgeable and professional. The project took longer than I expected and hoped, but i understand there were outside factors that effected that too, such as poor weather and other projects they were working on. Their finished work was excellent though. Overall an excellent company and I will call them again if the need arises.
