Devine Design

If I could give this company negative stars I would. This was an absolutely horrible experience. The only thing that Devine Design does well is take your money and demolish your house. They have inadequate staff who are jack of all traits but experts in none. They will show you tons of pictures to get you excited and sign their contract and then they will do little to nothing for months and months on end. We contracted with Devine Design in June of 2017 with a drop dead completion date of Dec 15th, 2017. This was a an entire home remodel and what we had dreamed of and saved for for the last 10 years. We stupidly gave DD a large up front deposit because we were excited and expected the project to progress quickly based on the lies we were told. Everything that they did took 4 to 5 times as long as was estimated. We asked for schedules from Day 1 and we’re constantly given an excuse as to why they were not necessary and that it was a linear process. The amount of whining and lies was unbearable. The only reason we dealt with this company was that they had already taken so much of our money. We had two guys working on our house most days, if there was anyone there at all. After months of asking for the the project to pick up and trying to get things accomplished and failing we sent a Demand Letter. For two weeks we actually thought that it worked. We had a full drywall crew and things appeared to be progressing. Then it all abruptly stopped. The drywallers left and so did the two employees who were installing our windows and repairing our stucco. We were told that due to the rain the crew was not going to be present and then the rain passed and crickets. We had nothing and Devine Design stopped being responsive. After a week of nothing we knew our project was being abandoned. Not only was Devine Design a nightmare to work with, incompetent and unprofessional they also failed to perform construction or supply materials equating to the money that we had given them. We are out a lot of money and they are completely unresponsive. We were later told that they did not pay their employees or the drywall crew and that’s why their was a sudden stop. Now we are trying to finish our house ourselves and finding all of the errors that were made. Things that they said were completed and never were. The list is endless. Please save your selves this nightmare. Devine Design will comment back on this and say that I’m crazy but I have evidence to back up everything I’ve said. I truly hope this saves another family from this company.
