I was so impressed: responsive, efficient, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with to achieve what what I wanted. The commitment to a high level of aesthetic and finish work started at the top with Dominik. Communications were excellent and always timely. If there were ever delays, like waiting for an inspector to schedule a visit, it was always explained why. My small-ish job (renovated bathroom and new laundry space in my basement) had their attention through to completion, and even four months later, when I discovered a small problem with a plumbing connection, they remedied it within 24 hours. Also, Evcon is licensed and bonded in the District of Columbia -- many firms operating here are not. I would 100% be a repeat customer.

We LOVE living in our renovated and expanded home built through a fantastic collaboration between architect Scott Wilets and the Evcon team. Scott gave form to our desire to open the 1950’s small rambler to views of the surrounding woods, giving the house a “treehouse” feel while maintaining handicapped accessibility and age-in-place readiness. The EvCon team made Scott’s vision a well-crafted and solidly built reality. EvCon had to contend with all the supply chain issues of the pandemic, so we didn’t quite stay on the original schedule. But the final product was worth the wait. All of the details – from shaving down the joists so the roll-in shower could be curbless and still drain well – to creating custom wood live edge accents – were capably handled by EvCon. And all of their team was pleasant to work with and reliable. Thank you EvCON!

We had a great experience working with Evcon. This group operates with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Our kitchen project was a complete remodel including the butler’s pantry area. Evcon stayed within our budget and kept us completely informed at all stages. There was excellent communication at every stage of the project. The people they employee and partner with operate with the same professional standards. Everyone was polite, neat and showed great attention to detail. The entire Evcon Team worked efficiently and helped us make decisions throughout the process. They worked well with our appliance retailer and gave us great guidance on so many important factors that you can't account for until you're in the process. They were always on time. Although the finalization of the project took several months, Evcon had us back in a working kitchen within 15 calendar days. Amazing. We are very happy with the results.

Evcon is a wonderful contractor, and I have complete trust in Dominic and Ali after they transformed all 3 of our bathrooms. Here is why I recommend them: (1) Exceptional quality work. Really rough before, very beautiful now; looks exactly like the inspiration pics we found at the start. (2) High integrity. Ali and Dominic are hard working and will commit to getting the project done in the right way, and with no "overruns" or "change orders" or other typical contractor tricks. For example, one portion of our project got delayed through COVID and although prices and supplies went up, Ali made sure he honored our original agreement. (3) Responsive. There is no middleman to deal with. Ali and Mariusz (one of their great team leads) would get in touch via text or call in real time and think through issues and choices with me and my wife. I don't normally write reviews, but in a world filled with contractors who disappoint you, I think it's important to call out the folks who put their customers first and stand behind their work.

We worked with Evcon on our whole house remodel from demo starting in April 2021 to move-in in December of 2021. Ali, Dominik, and the whole Evcon team were great partners throughout and I would strongly recommend them for any project you might want to consider. Our house was a three level row house in NE DC which we bumped out back several feet to add square footage, revise the living space, and renovate almost every room in the house. Our project included adding interior stairs, new mechanical, plumbing, electric, extensive masonry work, a new kitchen, new windows and doors, new drywall, paint, and several custom details. What stands out looking back at it all was how well the Evcon team communicated with us, gave us fair and transparent information on pricing and progress, and stood behind the quality of their work. It was very apparent that they had tremendous pride in their reputation as partners in their projects and how important it was for the work to reflect what they were capable of doing. On several occasions Ali and Dominik would come by to check on the work of their employees or subs working on our house and tell them to redo work we hadn't even noticed because it wasn't up to their standard. You could tell they had the eye for "what if this was my house" when reviewing the work being performed. Pricing was very fair and at no point were hidden costs introduced. Any deviations on schedule, product availability, or suggestions for change orders were discussed with us in a manner that let us make the best decision. Their team are pros and stand by their work. Our project was "done" and we noticed some items that needed fixing after several months of living in the house. Ali and Dominik scheduled their team to show up and make everything better with just a text...even after receiving their last payment. We appreciate the work they did, their professionalism, and are enjoying living in our "new" old home. I have used EVCON for multiple house projects: removing an old doorbell, ceiling / drywall repair, painting, changing light fixtures and even wallpaper hanging. I have had nothing but a great experience every time. I was especially nervous about the wallpaper since it was an expensive paper, but their wallpaper hanger, Fernando, did an incredible job. We plan on using EVCON for future projects including a bathroom renovation and other random home improvements. I would highly recommend them for any contracting work you might need.

I hired EVCON to remodel a room in my home that had no real purpose into a home office/study with custom wood paneled walls and a coffered ceiling, I sought numerous estimates and it was difficult to find a contractor that seemed trustworthy and offered fair prices. This was not a routine or easy job and EVCON did an amazing job with it from start to finish. Their customer service is top tier they were always available to visit my home and talk things over or respond to a message. The pricing was fair and the work done was excellent, I can't reccomend them more.

I hired EVCON to to prepare a rental property for sale, and they did a great job. The house was old and had lots of deferred maintenance and needed to become turnkey ready for the real estate market. They painted the entire house, redid two bathrooms, completely redid a kitchen, they refurbished the hardware floors, and replaced all the carpeting. They also rebuilt a set of concrete exterior stairs that were quite tricky. They came in within their estimate, and as I added even more work to their job they provided very reasonable quotes that allowed me to keep costs down. Amazing for general contractors... they completed the job on time so I could hit my target date of putting the house for sale. Working with Ali and Dom was fantastic! They were responsive to my requests and provided many helpful suggestions along the way. They continually worked with me on cost cutting actions without hedging on quality. Speaking of quality...I am impressed. For example, the kitchen floor sagged and wasn't square and yet the tile work they did made it look architecturally perfect. That's expert level work. I heartily recommend them. The house showed beautifully, and I got multiple offers.

I wanted to thank Evcon Group for the outstanding job that they did at my multi- unit rental property. I hired Evcon to do a complete interior and exterior paint job and various cosmetic and non-cosmetic repairs. First, as all of their reviews attest to, they believe in doing everything 100% percent correctly no matter the time or extra effort involved. Secondly, when I made it clear what my budget was, the owners worked with me to deliver the highest quality product possible while respecting my budget. They take great pride in the quality of the work that they produce and they went above and beyond to deliver the highest quality product, even throwing in needed extras to bring the work to A+. Third, they completed work that might normally take an average company four weeks to do in half the time, working overtime to make it happen. In fact, the owners worked with me throughout the process to understand exactly what my needs were in the final product, they organized the needed inspection, and sent me all of the documentation that I needed- they were very hands-on for the entire process. There aren't enough superlatives in the English language to describe the positive experience I had with Ali, Dominik, Joe & Larry- an exceptional process from start to finish. They completely remodeled my Bethesda home, ahead of schedule. Zero delays, major conflicts, dramatic nonsense from the men- just professionalism all around- from the business owners and every subcontractor that worked on the job.

I am delighted to discuss our recent experience working with Evcon. Bottom line is this: We would hire them again in a heartbeat. Indeed, I have recommended that some of our dearest friends hire them for their own projects. They’re that good. Evcon and their subcontractors are exceptionally honest, ethical, and decent people – which is not always the norm in this industry. That was especially important to us. I have been home throughout the project. I have observed every stage and got to know each of the talented craftsmen and tradesmen who did such an exceptional job — marveling at the craftsmanship, professionalism, attention to detail, and most especially Evcon’s ability to come up with extraordinarily creative solutions to problems I feared could not be resolved. Despite the unprecedented nature of the pandemic, we were able to proceed with few interruptions (most of which were supply chain related but none of which proved to be a big deal). What really impressed us were the scores of little accommodations they made over the course of the project to ensure that both we and they could avoid putting us or them at risk. This included putting up a number of zip walls, always wearing masks indoors (long before that the norm!) and maintaining proper social distancing throughout.

Best company I've ever worked with, hands down. While we were initially considering just a kitchen/bathroom remodel for our ancient townhouse, after choosing EVCON (through Houzz!), we turned the project into a full-scale remodel, complete with rebuilding a sagging, leaky 2-story extension, conducting a full backyard patio and parking makeover, opening up the downstairs, and turning our kitchen and bathroom into a magazine-worthy space. While EVCON excels in the quality and efficiency of their work (and some of the best painting and drywall work I've ever seen), what ultimately prompted me to use this company was the people. Ali, Dom, and Joe were a pleasure to interact with everyday; in fact, I almost miss the daily texts I would get. EVCON was always upfront, clear, and fast about price estimates and project progress, breaking all stereotypes about unresponsive construction companies! All-in-all, I can't wait until my next housing project, as I'm sure I'll be using EVCON again!
