My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Fireside Home Construction (Bob and Jake) did a truly amazing job on our farmhouse and barn at Beacon Springs Farm, 2 miles west of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our project received the highest green building award in the world, the Living Building Challenge 'Full Living' award, the second residence in the world to achieve this award. It was a 5-year project which was incredibly complex, requiring close teamwork among a team of 17 professionals. FHC was at the head of this team, and performed with the highest level of competency and professionalism--on time, on budget, and a delight to work with. And the house itself is truly amazing, beautiful beyond description with incredible craftsmanship, and absolutely a delight to live in. Bob and Jake receive our highest recommendation.

Designing and building a beautiful, comfortable, energy efficient custom home is a huge project. If we were ever to do it all again, we would do it with Fireside Home Construction in a heartbeat! Bob Burnside came onto our "team" in the architectural design phase and provided valuable and practical input from an experienced builder's perspective. Bob was on the construction site every day, and started every day's conversation off with the question, "Do you have any questions for me, or any concerns?" Bob and his crews of skilled tradespeople completed the high quality build of our forever home in Chelsea, Michigan on time and on budget. We've been thrilled with the beauty, quality, comfort and performance of our home ever since!

Bob Burnside is one of the most professional and diligent contractors we have worked with. He's a strong advocate for his clients, and works extremely well in a team with the client, the architect, and the interior designer -- making the result a true team effort. He's also fantastic with early estimating during the design phase of a project (which is immensely helpful for the client AND the architect!). He has great relationships with his subcontractors, and is therefore always able to keep his projects moving forward with minimal downtime on the site. He has a great eye for quality, and is extremely experienced with all levels of detail. His finished product is something he takes very personally as a reflection of his own very high standards of quality. He is an absolute delight to work with!

We recently had a detached garage built and Bob with Fireside Home Construction was our builder. The entire building experience went so smoothly because of Bobs attention to detail. He communicated with us at every step of the way so we always knew who was doing what when. He respected our property by always making sure the job site was clean and safe. The crews he hired were equally respectful. We highly recommend Bob the Builder for any of your construction projects.
