Flowers Construction completed our new home in the Fall of 2017. Having never had a custom home built before, we were unsure of the process and what to expect. From the very beginning, William and Mary Jane Flowers put us at ease and were very easy to work with. William and Mary Jane listened to our ideas and offered many great suggestions of their own. This collaboration was key to the build being a success. William kept us informed throughout the building process, and he handled everything from start to finish – site preparation, materials, scheduling, and all the subcontractors. Mary Jane was a pleasure to work with and helped us tremendously with our decision-making on interior design choices. It was exciting to watch our home being built, and in the end, we were thrilled with everything. Flowers Construction shines when it comes to their attention to detail and careful craftsmanship. When we discussed changes to the original plan, the cost of each change was fully disclosed to us. We received monthly financial statements along with copies of all invoices, so there weren’t any surprises at the end of the job. William and Mary Jane made our dream home a reality! We would highly recommend Flowers Construction for any project – big or small!

Flowers Construction oversaw and built a virtually perfect rendition of what we wanted: a one story home facing the lake, and an adjacent garage/clay and woodturning studio with a loft apartment above it for longer term guests . It was both fun and easy to navigate this project from out of town. William Flowers and his team dealt well with our being novices in building a home and all of the decisions the construction entailed. He cheerfully met with us on weekends, due to our availability, and was extremely creative in solving some surprises that the lay of the land created, leading to one of the most enjoyable decks on our lake !:) MaryJane Flowers also made selecting finishes and focusing our budget straightforward. We now enjoy a home we can age in, with a contemporary interior and a rustic exterior appropriate for the location, and with a welcoming response to our calls when we have questions or need additional advice or even minor 'fixes'. On time/on budget. TERRIFIC experience !

William handles clients and subcontractors with patience and professionalism. He takes on projects that many contractors would run away from because of the complex nature of old homes and remote locations. He takes on the challenge with a smile. We enjoy working with him and know that the client will be more than pleased with the result.

William undertook quite a project when he signed on to restore our 1895 Monteagle cottage. Starting with a significant floor plan change we swapped a bedroom for a kitchen which is a tall order to begin with. However, accomplishing this while maintaining the original character of the home is where William really shines. Meticulous is the best way to describe William. He went out of his way to match transoms, blend flooring, and other small touches that add up to an amazing result. Our project involved adding an entire downstairs as well. This differed significantly from the upstairs because it was essentially a blank canvas. Viewing the finished space I can honestly say I have never met a contractor that was able to do both old and new construction so well. You feel as if this space was present all along. There was never a surprise financially. He was very careful with our money and very open regarding the budget. I would highly recommend Flowers Construction for any project- new or old.

William Flowers took our cottage originally built 1884, added on to twice in the early and mid 1900's, to the studs, dirt and rafters. The task we asked of him included changing much of the floor plan, replacing windows, new ceilings, several new walls and new flooring throughout the 2,000 cottage. We had an extremely tight timeline which he not only respected but accomplished. The subs he used were prompt and obviously respected his guidance. William and his crew were consummate professionals in construction, communication and caring for our house as if it was his own. My children's children will delight in the work he did for us. We couldn't be happier with Flowers Construction!

From planning to completion we were very pleased with Flowers Construction. Creativity on the front end and timeliness throughout the project with good communication from William Flowers always. Our highest recommendation.

Mr Flowers took total control of the project and had a very professional crew of top notch carpenters and subs. He helped us choose from options on the house all through the process, including suggestions for new innovations that we were not aware were available. We got monthly itemized statements of expenses. The job site was kept clean and neat. Work was very high quality. Even though the weather presented challenges during construction, Mr Flowers kept things on track and kept us updated on the construction progress The finished product is just what we hoped for and we are very pleased overall

William Flowers built my house in 2010. He was so easy to work with. He has the patience of a saint! I loved the way he used every available space. He created a nook for my desk under the staircase, built beautiful window seats with extra storage and created two extra closets upstairs. He is a great builder. Thank you William!!

Flowers Construction is a local construction firm that prides itself on being fair and honest with its customers. They are in the middle of a kitchen renovation for us and have done a fine job. William Flowers is a problem solver. We engaged FC on the basis of recommendations from firends who had used him to renovate their lake house.
