This bluff home utilizes natural and man made materials to blend with its natural surroundings.
Concrete board siding and natural stone were blended to give this house a rustic feel with low maintenance.

Reclaimed rusted tin roofing was implemented over the front and garge entries to provide instant character.

The front entry utilizes large stone "steppers" that lead you to gently rising stairs and to the formal front entry.

The stairway was finished off with custom steel handrails and cabling crafted by Jamie Chernicky, a local metal worker. The walls are covered with oak and walnut wainscoting that was reclaimed from the Sewanee Inn before it was torn down.

The ceiling is comprised of red and white oak trees that were taken down to make way for the home. They were rough sawn by a local mill and then kiln dried and milled into T&G by a woodworking shop.
