GamaBuilt is a high-end residential general contractor and design-build firm serving San Francisco and Marin County. Founded in 2005 by Edward Gama, we specialize in whole-house renovations of San Francisco's Victorian, Edwardian, and mid-century homes, plus ground-up new construction. Both bring their own demands, from complex hillside excavations to custom millwork and finish carpentry, and we coordinate every trade under one contract so it all answers to a single project manager. We come in early and work alongside the architect of record, including MAK Studio, Philip Mathews, and Smith & Architects, who are identifying constructability, cost, and timeline issues while the drawings can still be developed. We pride ourselves in first-class project management with cost control, deep attention to detail, and close client collaboration. We transform residences into masterpieces that respect history while reinvigorating classics with modern touches. We see ourselves as advocates moving each project from concept to completed home.
