Gateway Homes (Frank Verdone & Team) just finished a fairly substantial refresh of my Guelph home. They are an amazing General Contractor company and I am highly recommending them. I had 2 x bathrooms, kitchen updated (counter tops, sinks, back splashes) , 2 hallways with flooring and carpeting and railings painted and my home looks beautiful! Even better than I had imaged! This is the second reno Frank and his team have worked on at my home but this one was bigger! Frank, his son Andrew, and their team of professionals are true perfectionists. From the unique bathroom back splashes (thank you Andrew!!) to the picky quarter round to finish off the new flooring. Everything was clearly itemized in the quote and we stayed on time and on budget! Such a well organized team and I was impressed by everyone's professionalism as I worked from home during the whole thing! I highly recommend Gateway Homes. We hired Frank as our General Contractor when building our home. Gateway is excellent to work with - knowledgeable, thorough and incredibly detailed oriented. We have since referred Gateway to a number of friends and will continue to do so. To find a trusted partner in a major construction project is a gift. Frank was involved with our project from start to finish (demolition to final occupancy approval) and continues to assist and provide support as required. In tackling a large project, there are endless surprises. Frank was always quick to respond and find a solution.

Gateway Homes, Guelph, Ontario was the best decision for having renovations done. They were very respectful of the job site. They were very reliable in keeping their time schedules for arrivals. They treated the job as if it was their own home, and the finished look is very professional. I have other projects to arrange with them very soon. They were there when I needed them the most.

I hired Gateway homes to do a substantial renovation in my home that included flooring throughout, new stairs, four bathrooms, opening up some walls and a few other touches. They started at the end of September and just completed the final touches. I couldn’t be happier with their work and would highly recommend them. Frank and his team did an amazing job and the house looks spectacular. When it comes to renovations the final product is what’s most important to me but what I appreciated the most was their ability to resolve any issue. Sometimes when walls get opened up there can be surprises and unknowns. In my case there was severe water damage under a shower that had rotted the floor, support issues when opening up walls and a few other surprises along the way. They always knew exactly what to do, explained every option in detail and completed the work with the highest standards. I love the new layout, hardwood flooring, stairs, oversized tile, heated floors, curb-less shower and everything else they did. If your priority is getting the job done right and avoiding shoddy workmanship, this is the company you want.

It was an absolute pleasure having Gateway Homes assist me with my move in renovations. Frank and his team worked tirelessly, quietly (as possible) and extremely efficiently and cleanly! People always arrived on time, completed the work as planned and moved through my myriad of projects with lightening speed! Any sub contractors for my electrical work were just as pleasant, and courteous as Frank and his team and took the same amount of care with their work as well. Frank and his team completed it all in a mere 2-3 week time frame. No touch ups, everything just perfect from start to finish!! They even went above and beyond and did extra things because their "work ethic" and "pride of workmanship" meant just as much to them. Listed below is what they completed on my new home in Guelph. I would highly recommend Gateway Homes for all your contracting needs and I will go to them again for any of my needs in the future! • Remove the center non load bearing wall in the basement. • Remove the existing laminate flooring from the basement. • Supply and install sub-floor with air gap membrane. • Install the owner supplied laminate flooring in the basement. • Re-install the existing baseboard. • Mend in the suspended ceiling. • Install the owner supplied shiplap to one basement wall. • Fill in above the Main Floor fireplace with drywall taped and sanded smooth. • Supply and install dimmer switches to replace toggle switches as per the owner’s request. Install the owner’s lighting fixtures. Re-work the hydro wires at the removed wall location. Rough in the wiring to the future electric fireplace. Install the owners electric fireplace • Remove the construction waste from the home. • Provide a final cleaning for the basement. • Two year warranty for the workmanship and the Contractor supplied materials. Just a fantastic experience from initial meeting to project completion!

Frank from Gateway Homes is a very professional contractor. He has been in the trade for well over 30 years. Frank will take the time to discuss your project needs and ideas to make it all come together and stay within your budget. His work, and his sub-trades are all professional and courteous. This is the second time we used Gateway Homes for our 3 bathroom renovations. We also contracted Gateway to renovate the basement at our rental property in Kitchener. I highly recommend Gateway Homes for your home renovations.

Gateway replaced all the carpet in my upstairs bedrooms and hallway with a really nice laminate. In addition they replaced all the old, original interior doors and closet doors including trim and baseboards. They also did the painting. It looks like a totally new house. I am extremely happy with the results. Frank and Paul obviously take a lot of pride in their work. They pay a lot of attention to detail and ensured everything was completed to my satisfaction. I would have no hesitation in recommending Frank and would contact him for any future renovations.

Frank completed an extensive basement design and renovation for us. Our home is older and with the reno, Frank tackled several challenges, including unexpected ones, professionally and to our best advantage. He took our walls down to the studs and made our basement a useful and beautiful space - just what we wanted and more! He is completely transparent with costs and pricing and we trusted him in our home. He also hires competent and certified people to assist as needed. We have already hired Frank back for more work and happily share the Gateway Homes name when we can.
