We hired James Milling after firing the contractor that messed up just about everything they touched. James & his incredible crew had to completely remove the upper tiled terrace & replace 15 joists. They had rebuild the stringers of the outside staircase & install stair treads, & they wonderful deck & stair rails. They replaced all the 6x6 posts because the other contractor had installed them in dirt not concrete so they had warped. They installed bead board ceiling under gables, replaced several Hardie planks, flashing, trim, stone foundation, concrete patio, sidewalk & driveway. On the interior they had to repair the staircase stringers to code, install treads & replace the molding. He built this beautiful storage bench in one day by himself from a picture I showed him. He is a true craftsman! He installed crown moldings, baseboards & shoebase. They stoned fireplace & installed mantle. His crew installed the hardwood floors & painted interior. They were professional & always kept the area clean!! I would highly recommend them.

James was professional and true to form. His quote was accurate, his team was professional and on time, respectful of our property, and kept a clean job site! I work in Facilities Management and frequently deal with construction projects. I was very pleased with what James delivered. He understood my vision and made it happen. The job called for the replacement of columns and railing on our exterior porch that wrapped 3/4 of our house. The materials used in the original design were of disproportionate scale to the house. I also felt there were too many vertical and horizontal lines in the overall design. It truly looks like a different house now. Thanks for a job well done!!!

James Milling has done several remodel jobs for us in the past.He is very busy so you may have to wait.The wait is worthwhile but reasonable..Job pricing is fair and it is done correctly.Does what he says he will do and job is finished in a timely manner.He articlulates well and listens to his customers fulfilling their needs rather than a cookie cutter approach.Workers are polite and clean up before leaving jobsite.Good job=Satisfied customer.

We came across James by word of mouth after up and down experiences with previous contractors. Since then, his company has done multiple jobs for us, some smaller, some larger, as well as inside and outside. In our older house they have done hardwood, finished the basement with bath, and replaced siding. He is very meticulous and detail oriented, and has worked with us to make sure we end up with the finished products that we really want. We have already recommended JDM Construction to our close friends, and I'm sure you will come away very impressed with them from start to finish.

We selected JDM after bidding the project to four total companies. JDM listened to our vision and communicated every step of the way. The project came in on budget and we knew in advance the areas that would cost more/less depending on choices. There were no surprises. Our project took 4 weeks, which we knew in advance. Out of those 4 weeks only 3 days were lost due to weather or inspection. They communicated with us if the crew was not going to be able to work. The workmanship is the highest quality. We had very high expectations for our screen room and new deck. JDM exceeded them.

My wife and I had interest in removing an old deck and replacing it with an enclosed room, such as a Den and to add a new deck to that addition. This was no small project. We decided to use JDM (James Milling) based on his great reputation as a contractor. The work was done on time and within budget. James kept us abreast of any needed changes and made sure the price was fair and reasonable. James put in a lot of preliminary work in the design of this project, especially the roof line which was very challenging. The results were fantastic. If we need any more additional work done we would not hesitate to contact him again. We recommend him highly.

We are so very, very pleased we hired him (and this was after having a terrible experience with a previous contractor). I am delighted to recommend him and I can say that he is well worth waiting for to get on his schedule. We needed some repair work done on our home. We intended to have a couple of people give us estimates. James Milling, owner of JDM Construction, was the first person to come and look at the job. In a word, he blew us away with his professional demeanor, straightforward communication, and attention to detail. We committed to him on the spot. He is always available and communicated with us throughout the process of ordering the material. The work began and each day James and his men arrived on time and exhibited nothing but politeness and consideration while in my home. From the first meeting, we felt that James honestly wanted us to be happy and that he valued customer satisfaction above all else. If you want someone that you can trust to take care of you, not take advantage of you paired with outstanding quality, then this is your guy. We have had our share of lousy repairmen and I am so happy to have found James. James is that rare combination of contractor who is versatile, punctual, meticulous and reasonable.
