About Us

John Herder has a natural passion for building. He is a fourth generation builder, and was born and raised in a family with generations of knowledge. This has served to greatly set him apart from the rest of the building community. In the early 90’s, John was one of the pioneers of the first Green Home 21 in Tucson – a home built well before its time, which offered all of the green features which have come to be expected, such as recycled windshields used for tile, recycled plastic soda bottles for the carpet, and more. Today, he and his wife Paulette have spent nearly 30 years building a solid business, with old fashioned values and a stellar reputation which will succeed them for the next generation of Herder builders. Having nearly 500 homes under their belts, the Herders take pride with every home they build as if it were their own. They are committed to using the best construction technologies, products, and techniques available, and their integrity and honesty are as much the core value of their lives as the underlying engineering principles and aesthetics are the core of a great home. Creating exciting living environments is the passion of the Herder family. John Herder Building is adaptable to a variety of home styles, whether you like Western Ranch; Spanish Colonial; Contemporary; Rustic; or Industrial Urban, they assure you that keeping in touch with your choice of architecture will be a reflection of you and your lifestyle with truly unique details.
