The Kolin Group is the best! They completely remodeled my 820 sq ft River North Condo with a commitment to excellent customer service, quality workmanship, and superb craftsmanship in providing innovative custom solutions. My condo now has a completely remodeled bathroom, a completely remodeled kitchen that included relocating plumbing for the sink in the new peninsula, new doors, electrical outlets/switches, flooring, and light fixtures throughout, two newly added storage closets, soundproofing added to a shared wall, the popcorn ceiling removed throughout, and every wall and ceiling painted. Kolin Group just completed a rehab of my entire condominium, kitchen, bathrooms, walls removed etc. The reason that I am giving an excellent rating is as follows: (1) We wanted the master and guest bath to provide a spa-like feeling. The tile work was just excellent. Mike actually came up with several ideas that we used in the final design. I have done three rehabs prior to this one, and this is the best tile work I have seen. (2) Mike and his team were extremely easy to work with, always willing to listen to and address my issues. There was one situation where Pedro returned to my condo in Lincolnshire from his home in Chicago to resolve an issue that I had. If I had a question and sent Mike a text on Saturday, Sunday, or in the evening he always responded. (3) Mike and his team are trustworthy. During a large portion of the rehab I was traveling for work. I depended on Mike and his team to come in and get the job done with little to no interaction on my part. I always hear these stories about how people have to watch contractors, check the work etc. I was not able to do that and I did not need to, Mike and his team earned my trust. (4) My rehab had to stop for two months as the condo association was not allowing contractors into the building due to Covid-19. Even after two months when I called Mike to continue working on my unit, he responded promptly and fit me into his schedule. He is committed to finishing the job and making sure any issues I might have are taken care of. (5) I felt pricing was fair and appropriate for the job I was doing. I never felt taken advantage of. There were some pricing adjustments that had to be made, but it was for something I added or changed. No issues at all in relation to pricing or billing. (6) All the time I worked with Mike and his team, there was not one unpleasant or uncomfortable experience. As hard as a total rehab is to execute, Mike and his team just made it pleasant, just really nice people! As a Chicago based Interior Design firm we're always looking to expand our "little black book" of general contractors. We came across the Kolin Group and decided to give them a chance for a full apartment remodel (kitchen, master suite, floors, guest bath, special lighting features, etc.) We are so glad we did. The Kolin group went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect and that we were delivering something to our client that we could all be proud of! Kolin Group did a fantastic job remodeling my kitchen including a custom built island . The work looks very high quality and was within my budget. Mike and his team were very professional and I would work with them in the future.

Michael, the owner of Kolin Group, was on-site, working throughout the project. His attention to detail was fabulous and is reflected in the final product. He also ensured that the reconstruction mess was kept to a minimum as we lived in our unit during the renovation. Imagine that! The people he brought in (electrician, plumber, etc.) were courteous, efficient, and professional. He was a great problem-solver when issues came up. Always kept us involved in the process! Would hire again in a second and recommend to family and friends.

I am very pleased with Kolin Group’s work. Mike S., the owner of the company, is very easy to work with and cares much about work quality. The kitchen and bathrooms that he remodeled have received a lot of complements. For my future renovation projects, my plan is to engage Kolin Group again!

Michael at Kolin Group is the absolute best contractor in the business. There is nobody as good as Kolin Group in Chicago. I have been buying, and renovating condos, for 15 years, and i have used kolin group on my past 5 projects. Normally they tell you to compare a few contractors and get the lowest cost.. DONT DO IT. You can hire michael and kolin group, tell him what you want, and close your eyes for a month and the work gets done correctly, efficiently and ON TIME! Having someone that actually cares to get you the lowest cost on materials and giving you his opinion on what looks good vs bad, BEFORE, you install, is absolutely huge! Best in the business, i strongly encourage you to use him for your next remodel, hes the most professional contractor ive seen anywhere in Chicago. 5 stars!

I can't say enough great things about Kolin Group. We hired them for a kitchen remodel and could not have been happier. The crew was very honest, kind and trustworthy. And while we had received cheaper quotes, Mike and his team truly inspired confidence and therefore we found a way to make the cost work for everyone involved. From the first day that his crew came to our house, they were punctual, reliable, and respectful of the space.
