Lofft Construction is exceptional. I strongly recommend them to anyone in the DMV area for projects big and small. We recently completed a complete full gut renovation of our Petworth rowhome, including a brand new foundation, structural underpinning, a rear extension, and everything from scratch on the inside. Throughout the year of construction, Luis and his crews were always on time, worked diligently & responsibly, and constantly went the extra mile to make our dreams come true. They kept an incredibly tidy construction site and were very respectful & courteous to our neighbors. Lofft performs so much of their work in-house with crew members who take pride in their work and have years & years of experience in the District. And they have strong relationships with specific subcontractors for the few trades where they rely on their partners. I trust them with anything and encourage anyone in need of a GC to give them a call. In a city where so many contractors (and developers) rip people off with sub-par work and cut corners, Lofft is a name you can rely on to do it right the first time. Lofft Construction was the general contractor for the partial remodeling of my condo. From the beginning Alex Sanguinetti made the time to understand what I wanted to accomplish. The company’s architect came to my condo and spent quite a bit of time figuring out meticulously what needed to be done to successfully implement my project. The crew was organized, competent, and completed the job on time - all in good workmanship!

Luis project managed an ADA compliant bathroom and bedroom construction project for my 93 year old mother. I was the intermediary and worked closely with Luis. The nature of the project and customer entailed challenges that were met with kindness and professionalism. The planning process included multiple iterations of the architectural plan. Luis and Carlos, the architect, patiently helped Mom think through her requirements to solutions. Knowing the construction phase would be very hard on my Mom I made requests to Luis that go beyond what would be normal expectations. Once started we needed the construction to move to completion without delay, the schedule to be predictable and communicated ahead of time, the construction site to be isolated from the rest of the house, the site to be secured at the end of the work day, and for the workers to avoid open doors as Mom was frantic about the safety of her beloved cat. These requests were a lot to ask, and I saw how hard Luis worked to meet them. Luis communicated with me every step of the way, and was very present to support the excellent crew led by Rudolfo. The work proceeded with great efficiency, the work product is excellent, and my Mother survived. What is needed is now in place. We are very grateful to Luis and his colleagues.

I am a developer, and I partnered with Lofft Construction to do a full renovation of an old row house in Brookland, DC. This was an extensive project - a complete gut. The home was reconfigured and redone top to bottom. Alex and his team were fantastic to work with every step of the way. They helped me with the design and selecting finishes. The work was clean and the craftsmanship was top tier. Everyone on staff from the time of demolition to the final clean up crew were professional and courteous. Easily one of the best builders I've ever worked with. Looking forward to my next project with them.

We had a great experience with LOFT Construction, from the relationship with the project manager, Alex, to the day to day with the contractor, Aníbal. We did a remodel in our house that was not obvious, we built a den in a wide space that wasn´t square. The company architect came up with a great plan, which fit the space perfectly, we were very happy with the result. It is a company that gave us more than a construction, they have an interdisciplinary team, with an aesthetic vision, and a lot of seriousness and professionalism. I highly recommend them. I highly recommend Lofft Construction. They do quality work for a reasonable price, which is a combination that is hard to find in my area (Capitol Hill, DC). We are repeat customers -- they did such great work on the gut renovation of our townhouse that we hired them to renovate a relatively large (17 unit) investment property as well. We are happy with the results of both projects. Most importantly, the people at Lofft have proven themselves to be trustworthy. Also not an easy thing to find, or at least to be sure of. But I've worked with Lofft for long enough to feel confident in their integrity. They are also simply nice people, and pleasant to work with.

Lofft was EXCELLENT. Finished on time, on budget, best estimate of the 6 contractors I interviewed. Staff and builders/workers were great. We did not move out and it was barely a disruption, even with all the COVID precautions. Really, first rate experience.

I appreciated advice I received from Alex on the options I had and his construction workers were highly qualified, they were always on time, and performed their work professionally.

From beginning to end, we had a very positive experience working with Lofft on our bathroom renovation. We purchased a 100-yr old bungalow earlier this year and quickly pursued an expansion of a half bath on the second floor to a full bath. After interviewing several design/build firms in the area, Lofft won our business on account of its competitive pricing, strong reviews, and attentiveness to our needs. Due to the age of our house, the project itself required a moderate amount of structural work in addition to the actual bathroom renovation. We also asked Lofft to help finish off a couple of closet spaces, and open up one wall in our kitchen. The Lofft team was fully equipped to handle these and all other aspects of the project. We particularly enjoyed the people who worked on the project. Alex - the project manager - was terrific at stewarding the process. He was always easy to contact when we had questions, was never pushy, and seemed to take a genuine interest in us, our house, and the success of our renovation. The team who was actually onsite doing the construction was just as great. They were here M-F from 8am-5pm for the duration of the project, nearly without fail. They took good care of our house, cleaned up construction debris in a timely manner, and the finished product speaks to their skills. We are incredibly pleased with the results and will certainly look to Lofft for future renovation needs.
