It can be a struggle seeing the potential of a space that you've lived in for many years. Working with a design-build firm allows for the eyes of third party professionals to make recommendations that will optimize the space for many years to come. Once this family saw how we could re-work their second floor, they committed to the process and authorized us to commence demolition while they vacationed for a week in Boston.
We tried so hard to complete the project in time for the family to move back upstairs in time for the school year to start. Material delays made that impossible, and the family had to start the school year living in the basement until we got everything buttoned up. The wait appears to have been worth it, and I'm thrilled to hear how pleased everyone is.
Thank you for the trust and faith you place in us. I look forward to working together again in the near future!
I agree with the homeowners that the relationship between builder and client is paramount for the success of the project. From design to presentation of plans to the ARB, to the movement of personnel through the home, I feel like we had great rapport and open communication which paved the way for a great finished product. I think the photos speak volumes for the renaissance this house experienced during our time on site. I am very proud of the work my team did, and am extremely grateful for the trust and faith placed in us by homeowners whose family ties in this project date back to the Civil War.
