Mayflower was an excellent choice for the complete renovation of my condominium. They knew exactly how to deal with the complexities of the condo building and management to make the project very smooth, easy and done right. From start to finish, everyone was incredibly helpful and their attention to detail was exceptional. The professional design guidance they provided was essential in creating a finished product that I’m proud to share with my family and friends. The construction crew’s expertise and craftsmanship is beyond my expectations and I will enjoy living with it for many years to come.

We are very happy with our new tile patio installed by Mayflower. Mayflower did such a great job remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms that they were the logical pick to install tile on our patio to cover the grey cement that was the original surface.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Mayflower Construction Group on a comprehensive renovation project, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our project involved a complete transformation of the owner's suite, turning two small bedrooms and a small bath into one large bedroom with a bath, shower, and walk-in closet. Additionally, we refreshed the entire kitchen, installed new hardwood floors throughout the main level, and updated the laundry room. Design and Planning: Nicole was amazing and worked tirelessly until we were happy with the design for our very tricky existing layout. The result gave us pretty much everything we had hoped for. Exceptional Service: Several instances highlighted the excellent service we received: 1.Cabinetry Color Matching: We experienced issues with cabinetry color matching, and Alex was persistent in communicating with the cabinet painter until it was finally correct. This took meetings and many hours of his time after the project was already completed and we had moved back in. He was adamant that they get the color correct. 2.Roof Shingles: Days after the roof was finished, we arrived home to find the roofers back up there. Alex told us he wasn't quite happy with how a few of the shingles looked from the ground, so he had instructed that area be redone—without us requesting anything. 3.Basement Floor: The existing basement floor was uneven from a previous renovation, making the installation of tile flooring difficult. The team found a way to accommodate the slope, resulting in a symmetrical and consistent grade. Craftsmanship: Frankie was diligent, and his team were excellent craftsmen. He consulted us on the many options we were offered, ensuring we made informed decisions. Professionalism: The whole team was kind and respectful toward us. They worked tirelessly six days a week from 8 am to 6 pm or 7 pm. The project was completed in three months, which went through Christmas and New Year’s Day. After hearing so many horror stories about delayed projects, we had anticipated a several-week or month delay, but the team completed the project on time, with only several days of final tweaks once we moved back in. Cleanliness: The team was exceptional about cleaning up each evening before they departed and left our home spotless after the renovation was completed. Responsiveness: Nicole, Alex, and the team were incredibly responsive to our ideas and requests, even when they seemed a bit wacky. Sometimes we agreed to go with our ideas, and sometimes we went with theirs. In both cases, we love the result. Alex was often at the job site and made time for a consult with us whenever we asked. We highly recommend Mayflower Construction Group for their dedication, craftsmanship, and exceptional service. They turned our vision into reality and made the renovation process as smooth as possible.

We contracted with Mayflower Construction in 2024 to complete a long overdue renovation of our kitchen and laundry room. I rarely give online reviews, but Mayflower deserves high praise and our best recommendation based on the excellent experience we had with everyone associated with the firm and the beautiful results we continue to enjoy. I would echo all of the positive comments of other customers posted at this site, with special recognition of: 1) the firm's personable and highly knowledgeable designer, Nicole, who took time and great care to understand our goals, budget, and design-sense. I loved collaborating with her throughout the project, and was always impressed by her ability to quickly understand what we wanted and incorporate it perfectly into a final design; 2) the effective process they used to guide us through all pre-construction design decisions including budget, floorplan modifications, cabinet selection and configuration, countertop selection, flooring, appliances, and hardware; 3) the care taken to thoroughly zip-wall and seal the construction areas from the rest of our living space, making us as comfortable as possible during all phases; 4) the leadership of the project manager, Alex, and the professionalism, dedication, efficiency and craftsmanship of the team who completed the work, ahead of their contracted completion date; 5) the commitment of all involved in working with us to iron-out any unexpected conditions encountered in our 50-year old house to our complete satisfaction, as demolition and construction progressed; and finally, 6) the friendly feelings we have about the entire team at Mayflower even after undergoing a renovation of both our laundry and kitchen at the same time, while we continued to live in our home. That says a lot in and of itself. Kudos and much respect to the entire Mayflower team for a job more than well done!

We had a great experience with the renovation. The design phase was good and considered all our storage needs while giving us a more pleasing aesthetic. The construction crews were efficient, knowledgeable, hardworking craftsmen who showed up every day until the project finished. Every detail was thought through and we are so pleased with the results. We are veteran renovators and this was far the smoothest experience.

We hired Mayflower to turn our retirement condo into our perfect home. We did not want downsizing to deprive us of our most loved home features. The tiny kitchen was our first priority. Could we please have a microwave/convection oven, a steam oven, an induction cooktop, a dishwasher drawer, and a French door fridge with the newest tech for keeping produce fresh. We also wanted Rev-a-Shelf features to maximize storage space, including trash bin and pantry pullouts. And how about a deep kitchen sink and instant hot water for tea? It didn’t take long for Nicole to show us designs. Everything fit together beautifully. Nicole added some open shelves to make the kitchen more spacious, and she surrounded our washer/dryer with custom cabinetry so it no longer looked out-of-place in the kitchen. The small laundry supply cabinet created next to it was the perfect touch. We did not even have to upgrade to more expensive cabinets to accomplish this so we were able to keep to our budget. Previous to this, I imagined improving my tiny bathroom would be impossible, but when Nicole informed me that my tiny bathroom stall could be enlarged by several feet because one wall could be moved back, I was excited! Then I was shown how my old cabinet had fillers on either side so extra space was lost. My new cabinet would have more storage space and also create more floor space in front of it. The chunky old toilet could be replaced with a tankless bidet creating more floor space, and giving me some luxury options like heated seat and self cleaning. My bathroom was going to be transformed, just like the kitchen. Having been through remodels at previous residences I was a little anxious about all this work being done while we were living in the condo, but the Mayflower crew were very courteous. All work went exactly as planned, protective plastic walls protected our furniture, and frequent email updates were sent to us confirming exactly what work was completed and what was in progress. Since I could see much of the work while it was being done, I was impressed by the crew’s skill and pride in their work. We are now looking forward to having all our worn-out 40 year-old closet and room doors replaced. We know that Mayflower will have no trouble completing on schedule and at a price that we can afford. We are lucky to have Mayflower making our retirement dreams come true.

I can't say enough great things about their design consultant, Nicole. She was absolutely amazing and provided top-tier customer service throughout the entire project. She was the main point of contact for me, and her attention to detail and professionalism made the process so much smoother. The team did a solid job completing the work and even managed to pull together resources to ensure it was finished within a month, minimizing the time I had to spend out of my home. After the project was completed, they were quick to address any issues I pointed out, like a paint discrepancy that was corrected promptly. They also dealt with handling my insurance so that took another load off. The project was completed on time, and Nicole’s incredible customer service made the experience much more manageable especially it being my first reno.

We hired Mayflower Construction to renovate our kitchen, powder room, den and laundry room. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend them. Nicole was our designer and she not only beautifully designed our project but was a great support during the process. Alex was our project manager and came by almost every day to check on things and make recommendations. Frank was our foreman and he was tremendous. The team who worked in our house were skilled and helpful. I especially liked that they were assigned to our project and consistently worked long hours to achieve the project goals.

We recently completed a kids' bathroom remodel with the Mayflower Construction Group and I'm delighted to share what a terrific experience it was from start to finish. I honestly couldn't have been more pleased with Mayflower's professionalism, customer-centricity, flexibility, responsiveness, breadth of design options and pricing transparency. Having recently done a master-bath remodel with a different company, I'm even more impressed by and grateful for the value-added Mayflower experience. Our design consultant, Nicole, was committed from the start of the project to its success, even braving an unexpected early-morning snowstorm to keep our scheduled at-home consultation. With her help, I was able quickly to select the right tile, lighting, bath/shower upgrades, and space-optimizing vanity and cabinetry. She patiently answered my many questions, reviewed my countless wish-list images, and made value-added suggestions that made it clear she'd intuited my unspoken wants, too. I love the resultant design. The construction team was similarly professional, detail-oriented and thorough in executing their portion of the project. They took enormous care in protecting newly laid carpeting and ensuring a clean, safe, accessible environment even amid demolition and rebuild. They responded immediately to a request to tweak something that we hadn't anticipated and had a just generally great attitude. Finally, Mayflower's clear, consistent and timely communication deserves mention. With frequent updates and proactive check-ins, I felt very well cared for throughout the process. I also appreciate the group's efforts to accelerate project completion to accommodate a planned houseguest visit. We love our new bath and gladly recommend Mayflower Construction. My family recently hired Mayflower Construction Group to renovate the first floor of our 1937-built rowhouse in Alexandria. We initially met with Mayflower’s design consultant Nicole who guided us through the project, from design to demo to reno, and who could not have been more professional or helpful. Construction took 6 weeks and was on-time and on-budget. The end result was a stunning makeover of our first floor, a space that is now spacious, airy and full of light, with modern and warm materials, textures and colors. We truly admire the work and craftsmanship of Mayflower and were incredibly impressed by their entire team (Alex, Frankie, Dasha, as well as the hard working and skilled demo/reno workers) and highly recommend their company.

I cannot say enough good things about Mayflower Construction Group. They did a complete renovation on my very old and outdated kitchen and it looks GORGEOUS. From the initial design process all the way to the completion of the project, they were professional, detailed, and overall a pleasure to work with. I will be using them again when I redo my bathrooms. Highly recommend!

We recently completed a 3 bathroom renovation with the Mayflower Construction group. It was a positive experience across the board. We worked with a design consultant who was committed from the start of the project to its success. She helped us choose unique designs from the tile, lighting and color for each bathroom. She provided great insight and was helpful in guiding us through the process. The construction group was professional, detail oriented and thorough in meeting our needs and expectations.
