We recently purchased a place in the Santa Cruz mountains with a house built in the 80’s that was all original and definitely showing it’s age. Matt and his team helped us transform it into an incredible modern farmhouse! We’ve remodeled many homes over the years and I have to say the quality and attention to detail from Matt and his entire team, including all of his sub-contractors, is phenomenal. A shout out to our project manager, Will, who was remarkable at staying on top of things and whose design recommendations we tremendously valued. The communication from both Matt & Will was always fast and they were always in sync, which is SO important. Matt’s team also did all the custom cabinetry where again, they paid incredible attention to detail and really worked with us to get the desired pieces we were looking for. The pandemic threw a wrench in everyone’s plans, but Matt worked within ordinances to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone and are grateful not only for the amazing outcome but also the friendships we formed!

My home was built in the late 1950s by my Grandpa and Dad. When it came time to make necessary updates, picking the perfect contractor was essential because we wanted to modernize without losing the mid-century charm of the home. Matt George and his entire crew were exceptional. My home has transformed into a modern mid-century home and my family couldn’t be happier. I loved Matt from day one. He's friendly, analytical, creative, responsive and quick to offer solutions to unexpected challenges. We bought a townhouse in Pleasure Point and initially called on MG just to add trim and sills to our windows. We ended up hiring them to replace all the trim throughout the house, repair termite and dry rot damage, remove the chimney box, replace two shower enclosures and handle misc plumbing and electrical issues. Whatever we needed, Matt and his awesome team were there for us. We will definitely use them again!

Matt George of MG Custom Builders, recently finished a 5000 square foot remodel for my husband and I. He was there from beginning design phase to the end. We had a ramshackle ranch style home from the 80s and now we have a stunningly beautiful Mediterranean Villa. My husband is a musician and he absolutely adores his custom recording studio and music room that Matt and his team designed and built for him. Matt George, MG Custom Builders, reconstructed an historic beach cottage. The project, as most remodels, was full of surprises. MG offered good recommendations on issues that arose, were committed to doing it fight and completed the project exceeding my expectations.

Where to begin!? Hiring MG Custom Builders for my remodel was the best decision I could have made! I honestly don't have enough good things to say about Matt and his team!
