Mike and his team were exceptional. This is only one of many examples, but they were the only contractors to put up temporary plastic walls to contain drywall and construction dust. Their tiling work--flooring and backsplash--was beautiful. If we ran into an old or unexpected issue Mike immediately had solutions, and we figured it out. His timeliness was strong. He worked hard to make sure that things were completed. Mike was also a joy to work with. I've worked and met with different contractors, and Mike Scott (MIB) is the only one I've provided to other close friends and family. He's very intelligent, explains his reasoning, and teaches you things. He's also really respectful--I was the main contact for this project--and I never felt like Mike spoke to me differently because I was a woman or anything. Just a really smart and fair. There were little things--like, I know that glass tile often works best with a different grout *and* that other contractors, especially at that time, often use the traditional grout--most people wouldn't know or catch the difference. But Mike does things the right way and knows how to do them the right way. If I had a question or wanted to know his thinking on a design choice, I could ask him. This helped me because I was so stressed and didn't always trust myself. This review is unsolicited and late! The project work happened a few years ago, but the time that's passed means I can tell you how the work held up over time. And you know what? The kitchen is so fresh and a lovely space to stand in. We never had cracked flooring or other things that happen when the installers don't know what they're doing. The kitchen turned out so beautifully. The experience was just such a blessing to my family, and it's very important to me to say so. I have experience with other contractors, and Mike Scott and his craftspeople/team are wonderful. We remain grateful. And I would call them for a project tomorrow.

Mike did a great job. Redid the bottom floor: kitchen, living and dining rooms, took out a bathroom and changed a TV room to a pool room. Timing was great. Mike uses mostly his own employees. You don't wait for a sub to be available. Like most remodels there were mid project changes, he was most accommodating, and did not use the change to increase the price. He is creative and has great ideas. We have used a number of contractors, Mike stands out from the others he's excellent.

We had a complete first floor remodel due to the flood. We contacted Mike and he came out to evaluate our home. He walked around each room asking me what and how I wanted the room to look like. I told him how I wanted my home and he made my vision possible. The crew was so friendly and always arrived on time and would make sure everything was clean when they were done for the day. We did have a few hiccups along the way, but Mike would make sure the issues were corrected. Now I have the kitchen I dreamed of and a beautiful shower enjoy. What a crew! You can count on Mike and his workers to get the job done professionally and in a timely manner. I love my bathroom update and am getting ready to start another project. The step by step approach to material selections made everything easy and there were no hidden costs.

Mike and his crew were very friendly professional and hard workers. They were perfectionists and that’s what I want in a job. They explained everything they were going to do. They finished on time and were the cleanest neatest contractors I’ve ever had. After demolition I had very little dust. I would highly recommend them. They stayed past quitting time to finish the job the night of Hurricane Harvey when they should have been taking care of their houses. Excellent company.

I hired this. Company twice. In 2016 I hired this company to build a sunroom on the back of my home. We discussed and it turned out perfect. In the process of building the room they also replaced my room. Excellent work. I was a victim of Harvey so I also used this builder to renovate my home. Once again we discussed the specifications and MIB Remodeling once again did an excellent job.

I can’t say enough about our contractor MIB Remodeling and his crew. They were very professional, friendly, trustworthy and design helpful. The project was finished on time. Mike Scott was the best. We plan to use MIB Remodeling again very soon and I have already recommended them to friends.

Mike is an expert who knows all things home improvement related! He will explain why he is doing things a certain way or why he uses one material over another. He can spot the places in past work where things were not done correctly too! The work is built to last and meets current building code standards. I’ve asked him to do multiple projects and they’ve always been done well!

We have just completed a bathroom upgrade using MIB per recommendations from Nextdoor. I actually contacted people who had used him to make sure I wouldn’t have buyer’s remorse. My concern other than workmanship was a quoted estimate and then the actual cost ending up far greater. . No worries with Mike (owner). He keeps you fully informed and constantly updates his proposal after you have started picking out tile, fixtures, etc. He asks what your budget is and will not suggest items that will cost more. He actually completed our project under the estimate and credited our account. Who would do that? His workers are professional, always came at the time they said and worked all day. They are also very clean in their work so it was not traumatic having workers in the house. We have had several updates done in our 45 yr old home and I sure can tell the difference in workmanship after having Mike and MIB.

Mike Scott of MIB Remodeling recently remodeled a bathroom and replaced the roof at my house. Mike listens carefully to his customers needs and then offers excellent suggestions based on that. His estimates are accurate with no surprises. His crew is pleasant, courteous, and cleans up every evening. They even made sure that my dogs didn't escape out the front door! There are no 3 week waits in a torn up house for some basic item-when Mike schedules a project it gets done on time.
