I couldn't be more pleased by the beautiful and thoughtful details Martin put into transforming the duplex where I now reside. I am 92 years old and recently downsized and moved to Oxnard to live next-door to my daughter. Martin transformed my new home to meet my long list of needs. It had to be attractive, both inside and out, be handicap accessible, have space for my drum set, and be designed to take full advantage of the harbor views. I also have nothing but the highest regard for Martin's crew who always showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and worked tirelessly to complete the job in the time frame I needed. Honestly, I didn't think I could love a home as much as the one I left, but Martin created such a high quality and stunning house that the only difference was changing from a mountain view to ocean.

We just finished a renovation on our home in Santa Barbara - a complete remodel of the kitchen and the master bath. MPX and Marty Prideaux were a joy to work with throughout. We have worked on renovations in four of the homes we've lived in over the years, and this was our best experience by far. Work was completed on time, on budget and with the best quality. All the subs on the job were excellent crafts people. Billing was transparent and detailed with copies of receipts and time sheets. MPX is a very professional, quality-driven organization and I recommend them without reservation.

Marty and MPX were extremely helpful and timely. His crew was a pleasure to work with. They were professional, friendly, and had amazing craftsmanship. Marty was always careful to stay within the budget and gave accurate estimates. The crew was sensitive to my living space and always kept the area clean. Over all I was very happy with the work.

Marty and his crew turned our never-remodeled 1948 house into an amazing showcase home! He gave excellent and inspiring construction and design advice. There are not enough stars to describe how much of a pleasure it is working with Marty. We hired Marty for an extensive remodel of a 1926 Craftsman home. The job was completed early and on budget, but that doesn't speak to just how meticulous and thoughtful Marty was about every detail. We wanted to maintain the 1926 craftsman style, but with a more modern update. Marty designed the layout of the house (including creating a bathroom from a former closet) to keep the home in line with the original design, but also to open it up and bring a bright, airy feel to our home. As an example of how detail-oriented he is, Marty used the lines in one of our former built-ins and brought those lines throughout the house, to keep a natural flow. He also spent the time to walk us through tile, cabinet design, plumbing fixtures, counter design, paint colors (and more). Marty's cabinet maker, Enrique, created the most beautiful cabinets I have seen, which help bring our home together. We highly recommend Marty and MPX Construction to anyone!!

Marty Predeaux of MPX Construction is in a class by himself. From the twinkle in his eye to his infectious Kiwi accent he has the rare ability to combine humor, integrity, competence, and most important, patience. He literally transformed our 'Shack' to 'Chateau'. What started out as a fairly basic remodel, rapidly escalated into a complete transformation. Armed with some very nice drawings from Architect Tom Meany, Marty and his crew turned our old house into the Home Of Our Dreams. He is equally adept at design, along with an uncanny ability to visualize the end product. Our home is full of details that bear witness to this unique talent. Add to that a virtually encyclopedic knowledge of, and access to building materials of every description, fixtures and appliances, doors windows, hardware, etc. coupled with a discreet sense of what works, Marty is a rare find.Though our project was not without its surprise challenges, Marty approached each one with a positive attitude, and soon had the situation under control, often with better results than originally anticipated. The end result; I have to pinch myself every time I drive in the driveway. This is really my house. I actually live here! . Marty has a mantra, "When I finish this job, you will be happy." Well? Ecstatic doesn't begin to cover it!

Marty was a pleasure to work with on our complete home remodel. His concern was always that the job be done right and that we, the homeowner, were happy. He succeeded in both! We have a home beyond our wildest dreams.

My husband and I worked with Marty on a remodel of our cottage style home in Montecito. We remodeled the kitchen, master bathroom, part of the living room, bedroom, hallway, and laundry room. After the remodel, our home is not only beautifully transformed, but more spacious and much more practical for our family. Marty has excellent craftsmanship and a holds a high standard for his work, which is evident in his finish product. Throughout the remodel process, Marty was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the design process and was happy to accompany us to select finishes. Additionally, he was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful when we encountered unforeseen structural and permitting issues in the remodel process. He knew exactly how to properly handle these issues and address them as quickly as possible. Not only was Marty very easy to get along with and a pleasure to be around, but he was a very responsive communicator throughout the process. Additionally, his subcontractors were professionals, had excellent work product, and were a pleasure to be around. We are now comfortably enjoying our beautifully remodeled house thanks to Marty! I highly recommend him!

My husband and I did two projects with mpx...a full remodel and later a master suite addition on the same house. We loved working with Marty and his team and have kept in touch with everyone. We are just finishing a 5 month total remodel of our home. The project encompassed moving walls, redoing bathrooms, new flooring, entry way, beautiful new kitchen, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Marty has a wonderful design aesthetic and walks you through the whole process. He respected our individual taste and input and helped us make the best choices that worked within our budget and scope of work. Marty is an excellent communicator, answering all of our questions day or night. Our project came in on time and on budget. We are thrilled with our "new" house! I highly recommend MPX.

The project was a complex and thorough remodel and addition to an older 5000 sq.ft. house. The existing structure was almost completely demolished, and new underground plumbing installed. All new electrical, HVAC, walls, roof, and floor finishes. New baths and a fabulous kitchen were installed. Landscaping was revitalized and new irrigation installed. This was a complicated project but it came in on budget and on time, and the quality of the work is excellent. MPX's running cost accounting kept us apprised of all costs continuously. There were no unwelcome surprises. We had a very good working relationship with Martin Prideaux and remain friends to this day. Very highly recommended!

Five years, three major projects and one contractor,Martin Prideaux, the only person we trust with our home. Marty provides the "complete package". His eye for design, understanding of the client's sense of style and work ethic is complemented by his crew, who also take a genuine interest in the outcome of the job.
