Pine Glen Homes Oakville – Poor Quality, Broken Promises, and Costly Mistakes We hired Pine Glen Homes in 2021 for a full renovation after obtaining multiple quotes. We chose them based on their commitment to fixed pricing and timelines, along with a recommendation from our designer. Unfortunately, our experience was defined by broken promises, poor supervision, and lack of accountability. Despite their assurances, we faced repeated change orders blamed on their estimator, minimal oversight, and substandard workmanship. The 8–10 week project dragged on for more than 40 weeks. Throughout the project, Pine Glen was paid promptly upon receipt of invoices. Some of the workmanship issues included multiple floods, improperly installed flooring throughout, incorrect millwork, and undersized and improperly installed windows. After the renovation was “completed,” we discovered even more serious issues — both showers had to be demolished and rebuilt, significant ice buildup formed on the exterior of the house, water damage, and structural work was found not to have been completed in accordance with their engineer’s requirements, to name a few. Three years later, we continue to uncover major problems that will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to repair. Poor quality, no accountability, and empty promises — we strongly recommend avoiding Pine Glen Homes.

This is the second time we have worked with Pine Glen, this time for for a bathroom renovation. They spend time with you up front to have everything set up to make sure the project runs smoothly and according to budget. The people there are great and the trades they partner with also are high quality. Renan and Gloria were our partners for this reno and made sure all the little details were done right! From start to finish, the Pine Glen Homes team was very organized in renovating our home. From our first meeting with Eddie and Rosanna, then with the foreman in charge of the site during the 6 month period. They said it would take 6 months - they were true to their word! Not only did they complete the job within the time frame but it was professionally cleaned for us to move back in. The 6 months process was so seamless we wondered whether these guys were for real as we have dealt with contractors before and never had such seamless and stress free experience. Most importantly is the fixed cost model of their business. They calculated the cost of the construction process to the $ and it was agreed on before the project started. Any increase in budget would have been for items we’ve added. But we knew from the start the cost we were working with. Unlike with other contractors who would tell you $X and the actual cost turns out to be $XXX. If you are renovating or even building a home, I would recommend Pine Glen Homes 100%.

We are very happy with our renovated main floor, thanks to the team at Pine Glen. Everyone involved in the project was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. We worked with Pine Glen 16 years ago to do a complete basement renovation that was on time, on budget, great quality work and great people to deal with. When we decided to downsize recently and purchase a bungalow, that we planned to effectively gut and rebuild, there was only one builder we decided to deal with. Even though Pine Glen had expanded quite a bit their customer interaction/dedication was exactly the same. This project was obviously much larger than our first but the development knowledge and commitment to on time, on budget and quality work with a smile was evident once again. Beginning with the project budget, the architect that Pine Glen referred, to product selection, to the final delivery, the team was very helpful and accommodating. With a complete renovation of an older home, there were surprises and some deficiencies when the home was delivered, but Pine Glen remained committed to resolving the deficiencies (no matter how small) and ensuring that a quality product was delivered to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend the Pine Glen team.

The team at Pine Glen created a beautiful design and buildout of a dedicated theatre room from a 20x22 space that was left unfinished in our basement. There were no details missed in each step of the process. Their team had the most knowledgeable individuals assess and execute the most cost effective and optimal plan to ensure we would be entirely satisfied without compromises. Their vision for the sound, lighting, components and comfort one would expect to enjoy watching movies and sports were clearly delivered. Over the years, Pine Glen has helped our family create a great outdoor space for us to enjoy our warmer weather and now they have helped make our colder months more enjoyable with a beautiful theatre room. So happy to be reviewing my builder on this site. I have always come here for inspiration and Pine glen matched all our concepts and ideas. They did an amazing Job. This build was the first in its class. What stumped alot of the builders that we talked to even our engineer. Pine glen had all the answers. They made the impossible, possible. We are now living in our dream home Since September and just the other day i had a visit from my site supervisor Renan for some minor touch ups. I feel very comfortable now that they have always been on our side since day one and have always responded quickly to any concerns. They made the building process alot less stressful than it could have been with such a complex build with many restrictions. The whole team played a huge roll in the construction of this house. The whole home was designed from the tiniest details like the door handles and trims to major appliances before the house was build. This allowed for a very smooth build I believe it took them very close to 8 months to build this home and finished unbelievably on schedule saving us thousands on rent.
