Red Hammer Builders helped make my house a home. Andy Courtney treated my house and this project like he was working on his own home. The amount of work he did around my house was Superman like. He converted a 1/2 bath into a laundry room, built a 1/2 bath were there was not one, redid my ENTIRE kitchen including cabinets, an 4x11 island, new plumbing and electrical for it, and removed 5 walls that required him to install 13 LVL beams to hold the weight. He does much of the work himself including tiling floors, demolition, trim work, and installing beams. All of his subcontractors were AWESOME and they did great work while helping me make decisions on locating certain items that I had not even thought about. He is honest and fair and works with you on all aspects of the job. We redid all of the floors, installed a 3x6 picture window at the farm sink and replastered the new walls and ceiling on the first floor. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor that will do great work for a fair price. And before you ask, I would hire him in a second to do anymore work around my house. I can not say enough about the quality of his work and his craftsmanship.

I hired Andy for a small job / carpentry work on the interior of my house. The work was well done, and Andy was friendly and professional to work with. I would definitely recommend him.

It's hard to find trustworthy, talented and dependable people. Andy's work is fantastic. I knew exactly what to expect and the outcome was spot on. These guys were top notch and I plan on having them back, ASAP. ........... I contacted Red Hammer after having been referred by my brother-in-law with whom Andy had been working on his new 20' x 30' garage. I needed someone to install a 16' steel beam to replace a load bearing wall in my living room and Andy was overwhelmingly collaborative in helping me determine the best approach. I worked with both my structural engineer and Andy to lock down how he'd do the install. Overall - Andy and his crew were in and out in 2 days. They were great. Ran into zero problems and he was extremely up front and transparent about what the process would be like and the estimate for all efforts involved. The outcome was exactly what I had expected ( which was a lot ) and without a hitch. As far as home projects go - this was as good as it gets.

Andy Courtney, proprietor of Red Hammer Builders and his assistant, Dave, were a pleasure to deal with. They were well equipped and materials used were of the highest quality. As with any project there were decisions to be made and their ability to turn problems into improvements was remarkable. The job site was always left neat and safe. Our project was the addition of a small but challenging enclosed rear entry on a 100+ year old house. The addition had to be cantilevered over a set of steps and the entry to an existing patio. We were hoping it would blend seamlessly with the back o our house. The results were beyond our expectations. Every detail was given full attention. Their demeanor was the same as their work, quiet, considerate and thoughtful. True professionals - I am a happy customer!

I was in need of somebody to replace all of my windows in my house. I came across Andy in a parking lot and asked him for his card. I called him the next day and he came a day later to look at the job. The following week he had an opening to complete my job. Andy and his crew swooped in and installed all but 2 windows in one day. They were all a pleasure to have around the house, I walked in my house and John one of his crew got cornered by my 3 year daughter who was asking about 5 questions a second and John as busy as he was was very patient and kind to my daughter. I would and plan on having them back for more work that is going on around my house.

Red Hammer Builders built us a shed with a porch/stage that has been admired by everyone who enters our yard. Typical comments are "its like a magic cottage in the woods" It's not only functional but absolutely gorgeous. Andy is also just a dream to work with. Not only a builder but an artist, always on top of things, engaging and a joy to work with. I highly recommend him.

Hired to build custom windows, bathroom remodel, and other rehab projects for a turn of the century arts and crafts home. Fabulous work, competitive pricing, comprehensive knowledge, respectful and constant communication. After years of changing contractors we've found our guy.

Red Hammer did several projects over the past. Everything from renovating our first floor to adding a third garage stall with deck and finally built a shed dormer off the house to create 2 bedrooms. The craftsmanship was great. Andy was able to think through & solve many bumps along the way. For the most part construction was done in a timely matter. Keep in mind as the homeowner I of course wanted it faster. We would highly recommend Red Hammer Builders to our friends.

My wife and I were looking to have a large window replaced which required a significant amount of attention due to rot from not being properly installed years before. We met with multiple contractors, and after meeting Andy and discussing the work we needed we instantly felt comfortable with him in performing this job. Furthermore, we took our time In finding the 'right contractor' for us as we had been burnt in the past in not choosing the right contractor (lesson learned). Red Hammer Builders did an absolute amazing job, and we could not be happier! More importantly to myself was knowing that the work was done right and done right the first time; which is exactly what they did.
