We had a fantastic experience working with RedSmith Construction to renovate our midcentury Highlands-area home. They skillfully executed our architect’s plan to combine our office with an existing bedroom and bathroom to create a stunning, spacious, and modern master suite. The results exceeded our expectations. From the initial consultation to the final finishing touches, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. RedSmith and their team of excellent subcontractors demonstrated professionalism, diligence, and a commitment to quality work and materials throughout the project. The work was completed on time and within our budget. We now have a beautiful master suite that has truly transformed our home. One of the standout features of working with RedSmith was having one of their principles, Jay, on site for much of the project. This direct involvement led to excellent coordination with the subcontractors and keeping the project moving forward quickly. Jay's presence and accessibility ensured that things ran smoothly and allowed him to promptly answer any of our questions or concerns. The level of hands-on commitment from RedSmith was outstanding. Another highlight was the outstanding service provided by RedSmith’s in-house design team of Kristal and Caitlin. Their expertise and guidance were invaluable in helping us make informed decisions about the look and finish of the cabinetry, tilework, hardware, and paint choices for our project well in advance. This foresight ensured that all the necessary materials were timely ordered and ready by the start of the project. Skillful and attentive to details. Despite the "supply chain" challenges, RedSmith was able to complete our envisioned kitchen remodel in a reasonable time frame. Small company with a great group of professional subs as well as a fantastic site supervisor.

When I was considering moving to Louisville, KY from Portland, Oregon a little over 3 years ago, I toured quite a few homes before settling on our home in the Highlands. One of my absolute favorites was a small home in the Crescent Hill area of Louisville. While the home was simply too small for my family, I was sure to take note of who the contractor was that had done the impeccable remodel. Guess who that was! Being that I am a designer, I was compiling a list of companies I would work with upon my relocation to this wonderful city. Redsmith made the top of the list from the start. We finally had the opportunity to work together on a kitchen and dining room remodel in the historic Cherokee Triangle area and the entirety of the project was a great experience. Jeff, Kristal, and Jay were absolutely wonderful all the way thru. Professional, thorough and communicative. Upon recommendation of Rock Paper Hammer we contracted RedSmith for the renovation of our kitchen, which was a complicated and time-sensitive job. Jeff and Jay did an outstanding job in explaining the costs of each component before we signed, the activities and time frame and possible causes for delays, all which gave us great confidence. We were not disappointed as the job was done right on time (with exception of a minor detail) and on budget. Not only was the job performed on time, on budget and with high quality, Jeff and particularly Jay took very good care of working with us and architect Emily Fisher whenever "in the field" decisions were needed. Also the subcontractors hired by Redsmith all were of outstanding quality and dedication. The kitchen, once an ugly stain in an otherwise beautiful house, is now the jewel in the crown.

Jeff and Jay did a great job renovating the kitchen in my 1930's home. I wanted to stay in the existing "footprint" of the home - their ideas to make this space more open and "user friendly" were perfect. They connected me with reputable suppliers for my cabinets, countertop and fixtures. They were professional, on-deadline as well as a pleasure to work with. I still love my kitchen and how it turned out ......even 5 years later!!

Insuramax efficiently completed a 2 bathroom remodel at our home and we are very happy with the results. The bathrooms were gutted to the studs then put back together in slightly different configurations. All new materials and fixtures were installed including new windows and a heated floor. The Insuramax team answered our endless questions skillfully and patiently, and they responded promptly to any requests or concerns. For example, when the framless shower door was installed, we felt the attached towel bar was too high and that the door must have been installed upside down. They had the glass company flip the door allowing us to determine it had been installed correctly. We were provided a detailed estimate, plus an approved vendor list for materials selection, and a construction schedule that was adhered to well. They were thorough and accessible throughout the project. Every detail was competed to our satisfaction. We recommend the Insuramax team at every opportunity.

I have worked with owners Jeff and Jay for over 10 years on my own remodels, new construction and remodel projects for my clients. After years of "serial remodeling" with different contractors on each project I was thrilled to encounter Insuramax in 2002. I hope never to work with anyone else. They are honest, creative, conscientious about sticking to design, budget and deadlines and have that rare capacity to be collaborative problem-solvers. One of the surest measures of a contractor's worth are the opinions their subs have about them. Insuramax's subcontractors, without exception LOVE working with them. I can't praise these guys enough!

Over the last 6 years we have had Insuramax remodel two bathrooms and build a pergola and deck on the back of our house. June 2007, Summer 2008, Summer 2010 Both bathrooms were gutted and rebuilt. The Insuramax team worked closely with us on exactly what would be done. They are very professional, arriving on time every day, keeping us in the loop on what would be done that day. in the evenings the construction area was cleaned up and all materials placed out of our way to minimize any inconvenience. They are meticulous on detail and we could not be more pleased with the end results of the bathrooms. We decided to extend our back deck to cover an existing patio. Additionally we decided we wanted a pergola, a storage feature in the way of seating and deck lighting. They matched a portion of our existing deck with the new deck and added the pergola perfectly. The storage feature is seating in the form of a row of benches which have hinged lids that allow storage of pots and yard art during winter months. We love it.

Insuramax has now completed our kitchen, bathroom, family room and laundry room renovation. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism of the owners and their contractors. We would definitely recommend them and use them again!

Insuramax Contractors remodeled the sun room and back deck of our house, which involved moving windows and doors in a 100 year old house and building a two-tiered backyard deck. The job also involved finding some creative way to address an old bulkhead cellar door entryway that was leaky and difficult to weatherproof and insulate. Insuramax converted that entryway into a framed and roofed built-in storage area with an upright door to preserve basement access with a much more attractive alternative to the old angled plywood bulkhead entry. The work was top quality, and the service Jeff and Jay provided was exceptional and represented an incredible value for such great work. Insuramax Contractors not only has the craftsmanship and skill to do upscale, tasteful renovations to older homes, but also brings a modern element when appropriate and has the creativity to propose designs that are eyecatching and practical.
