I have enlisted the services of RL Remodeling since 2020 for different projects with the most recent being bathroom remodeling. Alon was our project manager and he guided me throughout the whole process, arranging all sub contractor specialists (electricial, plumber, tile installer, glass installer, etc). This was the biggest project I’ve ever initiated on my home of 27 years- I wanted to add a covered front porch and redo the front yard to accommodate drought tolerant landscaping. I trolled Pinterest and collected ideas and drew up a sketch. I chose RL Remodeling for their YELP reviews and wasn’t disappointed!!! It was an expansive project involving a lot of demolition, masonry, retaining walls, concrete walkways, electrical, structure/roofing, relocation of my main water line and fencing; and of course there were setbacks as there always are on a big complicated job (if you don’t expect that you are being unrealistic and will be disappointed no matter who you use!) But what set RL Remodeling apart is they were SO responsive and fixed EVERY issue and had excellent communication throughout. I ended up with EXACTLY what I had requested. Thank you guys so much! Ran and Anthony have been great throughout the process of starting a build and getting previously unpermitted work from prior sellers fixed and permitted. Ran has personally gone above and beyond to ensure we are taken care of in terms of any questions or concerns we might have. He is also on time and punctual when he says he will be there when needed.

Ben was incredibly helpful from beginning to end in our bathroom remodel + floor installation. He was thoughtful with his suggestions, open in his communication of information (both good and bad) and he and his team did great work. We absolutely plan on using Ben again in the future!

Chase and his team did an amazing job on our new pool. He helped us every step of the way with excellent communication and a sincere passion to give us a great final product. From design to permits to construction to completion, Chase kept us at ease, listened to all our concerns and did an absolutely fantastic job. I could not recommend this team more strongly. Had a complete kitchen remodel. Ask for Ben B for your general contractor…he knows his stuff and is all about satisfying the customer. He will get things done the way you want them without hassle. The kitchen cabinets they install are good quality and attractive.

Every aspect of our experience with RL Remodeling has been awesome and better than expected. This was the largest scale project we ever entered into and we were nervous. RL Remodeling renovated my master bathroom, replacing the tiles on the floor and around the jacuzzi, and entirely redid the shower. All aspects of the experience were outstanding. The workmanship was of very high quality, with exceptional attention to detail. The work was completed within the timeframe originally estimated. The workers did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day. RL Remodeling's prices were reasonable. My main contact there was Ben Brenner. Ben is a really nice person. He explained things very well, was patient, and answered all of my questions. He was easy to reach by phone and by text. I would definitely recommend RL Remodeling to others and would use them again if I have any additional remodeling projects.

RL Remodeling did a great job renewing our backyard and preparing it for an Endless pool installation and a play structure. Ben was the only contractor that had clear and meaningful ideas how to fit this into the existing space, and his team executed this carefully until everything was just right. They could have done a better job with mask wearing and distancing, but I get that that is not easy for this kind of job. We are happy with the result and recommend them.

From the moment I called RL I knew it was going to be a good experience and it was. Chase was our project manager and I couldn't ask for a more accommodating and kind person to help with our project. We updated our back patio with flag stone and added a built in BBQ. One of Chase's group did a 3 D plan for us and the end product was exactly like the plan. This young woman and Chase listened carefully to me and delivered. The workers under Chase were professional and courteous. Doing something like this during a pandemic is tricky but all were extremely careful. Lots of Integrity. I'll use them again!!

We were referred to RL by neighbors who had engaged them a few years ago to do an extensive and complicated remodeling. As our neighbors were so pleased, we decided to contract with RL as we felt we knew what we were getting into. And, we were NOT disappointed. Our project was fairly simple: the conversion of a carport to a garage. Ben was always very responsive and quick to return our calls. He always showed up for appointments right on time. The garage was constructed exactly as we wanted it to be and we had no problems nor complaints with any of the men working on the job. All of the workers took pride in doing the best work possible. Ben always made certain that we were pleased with each component of the project. I would most certainly hire RL Remodeling for any future projects and would be very comfortable recommending them to friends.

Cannot say enough good things about RL Remodeling. We had a large garage in our backyard which they turned into an ADU for us. This was a big project since we had to satisfy the historian preservation ordinance in our neighborhood while at the same tearing down pretty much the whole garage and starting again. Ben B and his guys were there from design all the way through to completion. Their work was exceptional, their price competitive (we interviewed 2 other contractors), and the ability to get Ben easily on the phone and for them to make adjustments when requested outstanding. Of course, like any job, nothing is totally smooth, I have not heard of one that is, but most of our delays were actually due to the city and the LADWP. Beyond anything else it was Ben's friendly and unruffled demeanor that made what is inherently a stressful exercise so much less so. I have heard horror stories from friends of surly contractors and changing attitudes as the project progresses but with Ben and RL they never treated us any differently and stayed with us right up until the very last change we needed. When the project was all done we were sad to see them go!

I used RL Remodeling to do a patio BBQ and outdoor TV area. Ben and the team did an amazing job - it looks beautiful. I interviewed 3 contractors and chose Ben because he was extremely responsive and the price was competitive. We hired RL Remodeling to replace our roof this past week, and we couldn't be happier. After getting quotes from four other companies RL said they could do it for less than the others and start the next day, and they literally did. Ben was our project manager, and certainly one of the reasons we picked his bid over other companies. Other than being a super nice guy, he's "can-do" attitude gave us ease that if any unforeseen problems arose he would take care of it. The job was supposed to take up to 8 days, but they banged it out in 3 1/2 days with super speed and efficiency. The roof looks great. The price was fair and everything was easy. Would 100% hire them again.

This is a pretty reliable and straightforward construction company. The communication is fluent and the quality of their workmanship definitely deserves praise. I do not give praise easily, but their performance on and off the job site is praiseworthy. The kitchen remodeling project we have always dreamed of turned out exactly how we wanted it to. Some of the other contractors seemed disoriented and shaky, so RL Remodeling was the top candidate. Extraordinary work, exceptionally happy with the outcome, highly recommend RL Remodeling (Tom and Ben in particular)!!! My husband and I had bought a home which desperately needed a facelift over a year ago. When we first moved in, we did some work with a company with which we were very unhappy. The work they did was substandard, and the contractor was rude at times and failed to take responsibility for shoddy work. When we decided to tackle another project, we were very careful in selecting a company that could handle our project, hold themselves to a high standard, AND have a team of people with which we felt comfortable on a personal level. We liked their vibe, we clicked with their personalities, our gut said to choose them, but we did our due diligence and kept interviewing. In the end, we chose them because we were most impressed by them, and we could tell that we would work well with them personally. It didn’t hurt that their bid was also the most affordable. Our project is done! Tom and Ben did not disappoint! In fact, we could not be any happier with how our house turned out! It is a total transformation, and it looks absolutely amazing. My husband and I would happily recommend RL Remodeling to anyone who is interested in home remodeling project. More than their ability to get to the job done, it was their companies honesty and integrity that was first and foremost during our remodeling. No job is without its problems, especially for a home that was built in 1952. Those minor problems that did show up, were promptly corrected. It allowed my husband and I to see we were dealing with a reputable company. All the workers were capable and responsive to our interests. If we called with questions our calls were returned promptly and met with our friendly and very knowledgable Project Manager Ben. RL Remodeling did such an amazing job on completely remodeling my house. I had a very clear vision in terms of design and how I wanted it to look, but I did end up making a lot of small changes. Regardless, Ben was very accommodating and agreed to help me do these changes on short notice. Contractors are important especially because there are SO many bad contractors out there. Luckily I found Ben with RL who was very responsible and treated my project as if it was his own home. Another thing that should be mentioned is how reasonably priced they are considering the quality and outcome of their work. I would contact them in a heartbeat if I ever need another remodeling/construction job in the future.

Bath tub tile wall cleaned, repaired and sealed. Installed new sliding glass doors in a rain pattern. One and a half work days to complete job. Worker was very careful to keep the area clean and not track in dirt. Project Manager Ben was here each day of check the work and was helpful and informative. He communicated well with choices of glass and tile soap dish’s.

Like most people who has had some minor remodeling done in their homes, I would say the experience was stressful and not fun, and the results not up to par. So when we needed work in our Pasadena house, I liked what I heard in their presentation and we found the price reasonable. Ben came in prepared, made a good professional impression and shared ideas on how we can cut costs and enhance the "look" my wife was trying to get for her kitchen. The remodel came out like the pictures you see on magazines and HGTV shows. Ben worked closely with us to to guide us how we can get substantal discounts on high end appliances. We sure saved a bundle on this. The work was completed as scheduled, all permits were pulled by them, and more importantly on budget. We were so please with the work that we had them do the house painting, put new attic insulation and fan and rain gutters. The house painting was really, really done well. We even went on vacation during the remodel, and Ben (project manager) checked on the work, put plastic to contain parts of the house they were not working on. This is to contain the dust. Any small imperfections we noticed was addressed in timely manner to our satisfaction (without any additional cost). Thank you Francisco. Easily the most pain free construction/remodel experience my wife and I have gone through. Save yourself the heartache and frustration of busted budget, delayed work, improperly permitted work and more importantly shoddy workmanship. Thank you RL Remodeling.

We originally hired RL Remodeling to design a master suite addition, and remodel of a current bathroom. They worked with an architect and the city of San Marino and relatively quickly received the cities blessing on the design, which is no small task when it comes to San Marino. While working on the design for the addition we had them build a new shower in the guest bath. The project became more work than they'd anticipated, no fault of theirs, but that didn't slow them down, they replaced support beams and kept on working. We were not charged any additional money for the supplies or the labor. Just prior to signing a contract to start the addition we received news from family that made us change our minds about the addition. Instead of the beautiful addition we had them demo the existing main bathroom in the house and build a new spa like retreat and now have our home on the market. If we need work done at the new house we will once again be in touch with Ben, the project manager. Ben is honest and trustworthy, and always able to deal with anything that may happen on the job.

RL Remodeling performed an extensive remodel to the front of our home. This included framing, replacement of eave and fascia boards, subfloor repair, door replacement, drywall, concrete, stucco, ipe vertical siding & staining, painting, addition of 120 amp electrical subpanel, addition of low voltage exterior LED lighting, door bell & weatherproof speakers, and tilework. All work was expertly done and the improvement from both a functional and aesthetic perspective is amazing. I would highly recommend this team of professionals for any project.

Working with Ben at RL has been a huge blessing. We had a water loss to our downstairs bathroom which ended up turning into a full bathroom remodel. I had heard so many horror stories about contractors over charging, not showing up for work causing delays and also the fear of unforeseen problems coming up and being over charged for them. I can tell you this team showed up everyday between 8-8:30 and worked a full day with just a couple short breaks. All employees I felt were trustworthy and always kept me in the loop if they found something strange. The work was done so clean and professional. I'm so proud of my bathroom. Ben is my fav! He made himself available to me no matter what time I texted him to answer my endless questions and reassure me when I would panic about unforeseen plumbing issues. My house is old so these were inevitable, but for someone on a budget I would cringe. He just worked around it and kept all cost more than reasonable. I would 100% recommend this company, you don't have to hope the job will be done right, they will make sure it's done to your satisfaction and I feel confident if anything should arise later, Ben will be there to take care of us

Excelent design advice. Met challenging situations and handled them beautifully. Total kitchen and bath remodel, wood floor refinishing, popcorn ceiling makeover, indoor and outdoor painting, and concrete replacement--all done for a reasonable price in a reasonable amount of time. The project manager was very much "on the job" and took pride in his employees' work. He and his workers were easy to work with and very accomodating. Extremely happy with the results and the company.

I'm not sure exactly how to express how happy i am with the work that RL remodeling has done on our house! We moved into a big old house with a LOT of issues and they have managed to fix everything whatever the problem. From the plumbing to the pool reconstruction, interior painting and decorating...the list was endless. Rani especially was always present or available on the phone to answer questions, gave a competitive quote at the start, a realistic time frame, laid it all out in a clear contract with payment schedule and never deviated from this or added unexpected amounts to the cost. I would absolutely recommend them to carry out any kind of building/remodeling task on your home. In a business full of sharks, exaggerated costs and missed deadlines these guys are a rare find.

Rani and the RL Remodeling crew were amazing. They came in last minute for us and solved all of our problems and did a four month job in under 60 days. They helped solve design issues, structural issues and really turned our house into an amazing palace.

Recently we had RL Remodeling totally redo 3 bathroom shower stalls and upgrade our 5 bathrooms' fixtures, flooring and countertops. Work progressed while we were living in the house.The demolition and remodeling went smoothly and with minimum of dust and inconvenience to us. Hiring a contractor is a difficult task. The service provided requires a team of people who must possess many skills. We interviewed six contractors before hiring RL Remodeling to completely demolish and start all over with our master and guest baths. I can’t even express the many skills Rani, Ben and their team of workers brought to this job. But, I do want to point out the number one characteristic that was evident right from the start – and the main reason why they gained our confidence. RL Remodeling cares. They were not simply doing a job, they were creating the environment that we envisioned … all the while providing constant support to us as we went through the decision making and reconstruction. If that’s enough to encourage you to meet them, stop reading. But, if you want the details, read on. It takes a huge team of professionals to complete a remodeling job. Rani is so respected by subcontractors that a phone call brings them almost immediately to the work site to provide support. I was confident with each of the tradesmen who came onto our property to remodel our baths. Rani has assembled a work team that all care about the work they do – down to the detail of the position of the screws in the switch plates (the screwdriver slots are all vertical). I think that is probably an unusual situation in this day of quick and easy. Not a single tradesman did something that was simply easy, they did what was right! And, if it needed to be readjusted it was eagerly accomplished. Nothing was impossible. A master and guest bath job probably sounds like a small job. I am a novice at bathroom renovation and soon found out how much I don’t know. This 2 bathroom renovation was a major task in our 1950 house. As soon as they broke into the walls and floors they found what had been a disaster that accumulated over the nearly 70 years of the life of our house. Removing the toilets revealed tree roots growing not only up into the toilet opening but also into the water pipes coming into the showers. Further removal of the concrete slab provided a view of the pipes coiled in the floor (early days of heated floors) that were leaking and pipes that were buried in the soil below the slab. Needless to say – all new plumbing and a sizable hole in our yard added to the remodel. Leaking pipes in the walls resulted in studs that were completely deteriorated and crumbled when touched, more total replacement. Through all of this, Rani explained to us the issues and what to do to repair the issues and not have further issues in the future. This was done while assuring compliance with code and high standards. We couldn’t have been more pleased with his approach and non-disaster attitude. He considered subbing out some of the work but found subs wanted more money to do the job than he thought it was worth. His team of capable workers worked efficiently to resolve all issues. We replaced all of the windows in the bathrooms. That required perfect fit along with not only repair of the inside of the house but also the stucco on the outside. This is something that we had not foreseen due to our lack of knowledge about stucco repair. But Rani had it in his plan and efficiently had the damage repaired. I spent a great deal of time picking out just the right tile for the floors and walls in the bathrooms. Lo and behold, what I had my heart set on could not be done with the tile I selected (my lack of bathroom renovation knowledge was showing). The tile was too large to accommodate the pitch necessary for drainage. Rani came up with a solution. We could cut the tile into smaller tiles using a diamond blade. When the tile supplier tried this it didn’t work. But the RL team, Adel and Francisco, came up with a way to cut the tile that was perfect for the shower pan. It is beautiful. I think the quality of a final product is reflected in the detail work, there is a lot of detail work in the bathrooms. In one 12” area of the guest bath there are 5 different materials used to create the look I wanted. They all came together beautifully without any material being compromised or poorly installed. It would be easy for me to go on with details concerning how all obstacles were alleviated to complete this project -- but, I’m sure you have the idea.
