Robert worked with us as we improvised our way through remodeling our kitchen, and finishing the interior of a backyard she-shed sewing room. His vision for how to best use limited space, and the excellent workmanship of his crew, have already resulted in significant improvements in the quality of life in our home!

Robert completed a renovation of my guest bathroom. This included removing the tub and replacing it with a tiled walk-in shower. A new vanity was made and new plumbing fixtures and light fixtures were installed. The adjacent bedroom got a facelift with new carpet and fresh paint. He also reconfigured the walk-in closet and added new mirrored doors. The tile work is beautiful and his cabinet maker does a wonderful job. This was the third project Robert completed for me. Last year, he redid my kitchen and prior to that my upper and lower decks. It's been a great experience working with Robert and his wife, Heather. They made it very easy and the results are beautiful.

Robert Delafield has shown to me that there are Craftsmen who do have integrity. The work I contracted for was done on time and to my specifications. Pricing was fair, and there were no surprises at the end of my project. What more can you ask for? With many years of experience under his belt, Robert understands the nuances involved in a complex remodeling project such as the one he did for me.

This was a 3 bedroom 1 bath home built in 1950 that had only exterior walls and needed the roof replaced. I had also asked that a screened-in patio be built onto the back of the house. There was a time restraint in getting the home ready as I was moving my 90 year old mother into this residence, which required the company to think about accommodations for her in the plans to finish the house. So a ramp was installed in the back of the house from the driveway to the back door so she would not have to address stairs, as well as a walk in shower and a bathroom that would fit a wheel chair if necessary. And as I live in California, the company kept me informed of the progress by sending me photos and video via a link to their website. The quality of work was exceptional and the company really listened to my mother to try to make the house a home for her. Any deviance from a plan or budget was always clearly explained with options if there were others. This is a husband and wife team that are very easy to work with and I would trust them to build me a palace because they really focus on the details.

Very Professional work. The project was completed to the highest standard within a short amount of time. The work was carried out by a skilled and helpful crew who were dedicated to doing a good job. They arrived early and stayed late until the job was finished! Could not ask for anything more. Would definitely recommend this service.

We bought a house that needed a 90% remodel. We hired Robert Delafield and couldn't have been more pleased. We got all new plumbing, new flooring, added gas lines in the home, a tankless water heater, custom closets, acid stained concrete, and some very intricate carpentry work. His contractors are excellent and did very detailed work. Robert cut no corners on our home and we are extremely happy with the work. I would highly recommend him.

Delafield Construction was hired to remodel one of my bathrooms. The workmen were always here on time, they worked consistently and the house was neat as a pin when they left every day. Both Diego and Wayne were very talented and meticulous with their work. They were delightful personalities as well. Robert's supervision of the ongoing project was consistent and the very minor issues that came up were dealt with promptly and professionally. My new bathroom is spectacular and I couldn't be more pleased! I have another bathroom that needs remodeling and I will definitely be calling Robert and Heather Delafield at Delafield Construction for this project as well.

I contacted Robert H. Delafield, Inc. because I needed an enclosure built on our patio, that would let our three cats have a way to experience the outdoors but remain safe. I told Robert what I had in mind and asked if it was feasible. Not only did his carpenters build what I had envisioned, they exceeded everything I had hoped the enclosure would be. Their attention to detail and their workmanship is exquisite. The unit is built with framing on the east and north walls. The west and south walls of the house, serve as the other two sides of the unit. The French doors from the house open into the enclosure's south side along with a cat-door that was built into the house wall. The east wall has a door that leads out to the yard. A corrugated translucent roof allows light and protects from rain. The inside framing is covered with hardware cloth (a material the cats can't destroy or escape from). The outside framing holds aluminum frames for the heavy duty screening material, to keep the insects out. We are so proud of our "Catio" and the cats love it.
