I used Robert Loftus Construction to remodel an old condo that I bought in Laguna Niguel. It was built in 1985 and needed a complete overhaul. We took out a wall between the kitchen/dining room and the living room to make the first floor an open floor plan. We turned the attic space into a beautiful new master bathroom and a walk in closet. There was not a space left untouched. Robert did a beautiful job and was very attentive to what I wanted and to what needed to be done to assure that everything was done according to the city requirements. Robert has a group of sub contractors that he uses that are qualified and professional. I highly recommend Robert Loftus Construction if you are looking for a contractor who will be there for you every step of the way.

Bob and his team completed a remodel of 2 bathrooms in our home. He was there each morning before any workers. The bathrooms were done on time and on budget. We appreciated Bob so much, we are about to begin a major remodel of our kitchen and outdoor patio and will be working with Bob on the project.

I began a large scale remodel of my home with a different contractor, and it soon became apparent that the scope of the job and all aspects were beyond his abilities. After terminating our original contractor and being months behind schedule, we hired Bob to come in and complete the job. Bob was amazing in his take charge style. He contacted all of the subs and got everything back on track right away. He was on the job from early in the morning throughout the entire day. He was there to direct, manage, answer questions, make corrections and deal with any problem that arose. He was efficient, professional, thorough, creative, personable and took care of everything. My only regret is that Bob was not there from the very beginning. I would hire Bob without question for any type of construction project in the future. He was terrific!

Bob finished the job within the time frame promised and the quality of the work performed was top notch. Not a day went by when workers were at our house making progress. When we were interviewing contractors for the job, we stated we wanted to remain in our home while the work was being done. The other prospective contractors tried to talk us out of it and said the only available solution was plastic sheeting. Bob thoughtfully devised a two story temporary wall on the first day of the project that kept out the dust, minimized noise and maintained our home's security. As we went through the remodel process, we quickly learned that if Bob made a suggestion, we should take it. His guidance was wonderful, always looking out for our best interests and ensuring that the look and feel of the design matched with our personal style and was within our budget. We could not have asked for a better general contractor or a better result. We highly recommend Bob Loftus to anyone considering a building/remodel project.

Bob Loftus help build our dream house and retirement home. Working with a very accomplished architect he accomplished our construction in 14 months, this included tearing down the old structure. Bob was an excellent contractor, above and beyond my expectations. He was recommended by 2 of my neighbors and fulfilled all my expectations. He has excellent subcontractors and is even willing to work with a sub you recommend. His prices are not only fair, but he is excellent at pointing out where you can save money, saving me $9000 on windows alone, by reducing their length, a change not even noticeable without seeing them side by side. He also continues to address any loose ends, even after the job is compete. His standards are high, addressing details with his subs that I failed to notice. I have hired him for 2 additional projects and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Bob Loftus was responsible for a successful and significant remodeling project to our custom hilltop, ocean-view home. The project began with a complete interior demolition and encompassed framing, drywall and stucco repair, electrical, audio-visual, HVAC, flooring, stone and tile masonry, plumbing, extensive cabinetry and finish carpentry, painting, and lighting elements. After evaluating several contractors, Bob’s depth of knowledge, patience, sensitivity to our needs and desires, and his genuine enthusiasm for our project clearly distinguished him. Although we were not his only clients, he made us feel that our project was his top priority. His talents were quickly apparent after coordinating preliminary meetings between us and his primary trade subcontractors for the purpose of clarifying our needs and exploring beneficial options. Moreover, Bob enjoys very long-term relationships with these very skilled subcontractors. Perhaps the most significant observation about Bob’s craftsmanship is the fact that major construction elements, such as the enclosure of our upstairs loft, cannot be distinguished as “new” elements. The finished project looks as though it was designed and built as such since original construction. In short, the results are “seamless” and far exceeded our expectations. Bob was extraordinarily helpful and understanding, and his many suggestions and advice were offered with discretion and reassurance. His attention to detail, as well as client service and satisfaction is rare. Moreover, we found his trustworthiness to be as notable as his construction skills and professionalism. Bob’s calm and confident approach was comforting when the inevitable unforeseen obstacle arose. His resourcefulness was invaluable, as he succeeded in identifying practical solutions and pricing otherwise unattainable. Our budget was not modest, nor was it extravagant, but Bob’s diligence permitted the project to finish under-budget. Additionally, he worked very well with our interior designer and suppliers, winning their respect, while steadfastly safeguarding our interests. Robert Loftus Construction did a great job with the complete rehab of our home in San Clemente, CA. This was a very big job as this included all new plumbing, sewer, water, gas and electric from the street to the house. Also, all new landscaping.
