Rocha Construction

It was a great experience working with Rocha Construction on remodeling my garage from an unfinished space to a finished garage with laundry. From meeting with Gilbert, discussing what I wanted to do and coming up with the detailed scope, all the way to the end having Mario and his crew taking care of the job. Gilbert himself was great to communicate and always available in case I had any questions. Mario was THE go guy that worked with his team to make all happen, and they did a great job! Mario and the team had a lot attention to detail and I could see they were aiming to deliver a job not only that we were happy with but also a result that they were proud of. They sticked to the schedule and they stayed on budget for the scope agreed. The team was not only respectful, they were always in good spirit, they always answered the questions when i had them and I felt they always accept my comments whenever I asked something. Also, they were conscious we were living at the house and everyday tried their best to leave the surroundings organized and somewhat clean (for construction standards). By the end was able to go over the job with Mario and with Gilbert and they made sure they were leaving when we were happy with the final result. Overall great experience and I'll look for them again when I have another job!

Rocha Construction has just finished a whole house remodel for us in Rancho Palos Verdes. Gilbert Rocha, Maria, Gustavo, Mario , and Diego and many others who comprise this outstanding team were instrumental in turning this " headed for demolition" ranch home into a beautiful ,striking contemporary . Mr. Rocha's work involved renovating all systems including electrical, plumbing, new drywall work as many of the walls were vinyl, wood subfloor and foundation piers (rotted due to water calcification), exterior re-stucco and wood work, new windows, gorgeous solid mahogany front entry doors, new random white oak wide plank floors with seamless transitions throughout the entire house, new kitchen with euro slab rift white oak cabinets, beautiful 3cm Cambria quartz counters (full slab with no seams)complete remodel of two bathrooms with wire mesh and mortar underlayment (the way it should be done although much more difficult and time consuming), fabulous interior and exterior lighting, complete interior and exterior painting with only the best Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. Gilbert worked with us on every aspect of the construction from initial design to demo to rebuild.His knowledge of construction is way beyond that of any contractor I have met and his aesthetic sensibility is impeccable. On top of this, Gilbert is so nice, affable, and hardworking. He is always completely responsive to every question you might have no matter how seemingly inconsequential, even on some weekends when he was busy with family activities. He really understands the structural aspects of a home so he had a complete understanding of how to turn a warren of small rooms into an open concept plan of living. Of course, he consulted an engineer for a full sign off of all structural alterations, but Gilbert had the initial vision himself. And top of all this, his original detailed estimate was within 2% of the finished project cost, quite unbelievable because of all the extra work orders due to unforeseen issues with an old , deferred maintenance house.If you can get him, you will be fortunate as he and his team are wonderful, bar none.
