We hired Bob to install 18x18 tile to our kitchen, laundry room, front hall and powder room. They also installed new trim and doors to my first floor. They did the demo and installation on everything. Bob's workers are very nice and excellent workers. They were willing to make changes if I needed them to. They all do excellent work. I really liked the fact that they cleaned up every night before they left. Bob is a pleasure to work with. He is very patient and will answer any and all questions you may have. He was always available when I had a question. He was very competitive with his pricing and he worked around our schedules to get the job done. I would recommend Bob for any job. Very satisfied with the outcome!!!!

Our bathroom was over 25 years old and badly in need of remodeling. We contracted with a Kohler Design consultant to bring us up to date, with an emphasis on aging-in-place since we plan to stay here as long as we are physically able. The consultant came up with two bids, and we chose Schaffer Construction based on his understanding of what we were trying to accomplish, his experience and his price. In fact Schaffer Construction offered several ideas that we had not considered before (e.g., an exhaust fan with a timer switch) and even after we added on several improvements the project was completed within the original budget plus the amounts we added on. It was an extensive remodel: stripping the room and rebuilding the electrical outlets, the plumbing, ceilings, walls, doors and the floor. The decorative tiling on the floor and walls is exquisite. We replaced the counters and sinks; the bathtub, the toilet, and built a glassed-in shower. The additional grab bars improved our safety.

Bob came to our rescue on a bathroom project following several glitches with a previously hired contractor. His crew was on time every day and very professional. We have an older home and there were several surprise issues once the walls were opened up that they handled without a problem. Our new bathroom looks wonderful and we could not be more pleased!

We have worked with Bob on a number of projects. This past one was the biggest by far. Bob gave our home a total facelift and gutted our mater bedroom and bathroom. Bob has a great eye for detail and the quality of the work he and his team do is at the highest level. We couldn't be happier with everything Bob has done for our home.

We were referred to Mr. Schaffer by a real estate colleague. We needed someone to do a wide range of work on a condo unit we own in Chicago, while we are living in Alabama. We hired him over the phone based on the strength of recommendations from former clients. We were not disappointed. He went above and beyond the call of duty, navigating condo management bureaucracy, satisfying somewhat demanding tenants, searching for obsolete replacement parts and negotiating subcontractors on our behalf. He did great work and really knows how to deal with people. Best of all, he truly stands behind the work that he does and sticks with you should any problems result later. Schaffer did bathroom remodeling, painting, plumbing, carpet cleaning, tub reglazing and other projects for us. We could not be more satisfied. Our only disappointment is that he will not come work on our home in Alabama! We recommend this company without reservation and would use them again.

Schaffer Construction has done work for our HOA and for me personally. Schaffer does oustanding work. The work includes construction projects ( built an additional closet, walkway and fireplace mantle), handyman work (stained common area deck, repaired fire alarms, cleaned gutters, and caulked building seams), and interior design (assisted in color palette selection and painted) my townhome. Schaffer construction is reliable and professional. The work is on budget and timely. I highly recommend Schaffer Construction.
