When we purchased this house almost 5 years ago I loved the kitchen!! It was so large compared to our last home. The bathrooms,on the other hand, were not so much to love. The showers were only 2-3 feet of space, dark and uncomfortable to shower in. Hardly any vanity space and the places the toilets were, were well, not the most spacious. We knew eventually we would have to renovate the bathrooms. Well, when we met Yaniv, we hired Shefer Builders to redo our roof. I could tell instantly he was an extremely detailed person. This filters down to the staff. The entire staff!! Talking with Yaniv during the roof project, we decided to have the company redo our bathrooms. This included a 3D designer, and a mobile showroom that came to the house so I could choose all the fun stuff. Everyone is so nice and comfortable to talk to about design and pricing. In addition, the crew and foremans were very helpful in explaining what they were doing throughout the enire projects. As for the kitchen: we had a dishwasher go bad and it leaked water all over including out the back of the house!! Well….perfect time to have Shefer Builder renovate the kitchen!! What a continued blessing to have the crews come back again and help in such a fine way. I have always loved cooking and baking but even more so now with my beautifully desinged, perfectly crafted and functional kitchen!! They give so much attention to the little things I did not even notice! Exceptional quality from everyone!! The crews were hard working, fun and really made the process a joy to experience. We just finished front yard landscaping, driveway and front façade remodeling with Shefer Builders. We are delighted with the outcome. I used Shefer Builder for a kitchen remodel and I'm so glad I did. They were friendly, detail-oriented and flexible. First, I didn't want a total teardown. I wrote a detailed doc specifying what I wanted and sent it to a bunch of contractors. Yaniv was the only guy that actually read it and gave us a competitive quote - everyone else tried to upsell us a total teardown. I really appreciated that. We wanted to purchase all materials and appliances ourselves, and Yaniv worked efficiently with us to schedule things . Partway through the process we changed our mind - went for an in-counter cooktop instead of a separate range. Yaniv took the change in stride, adjusted the quote and schedule, and work continued smoothly. I was very impressed. Partway through the renovation, covid hit. When this happened Yaniv quickly hurried his schedule so that his workers could be out of our house as soon as possible. I really appreciated it. This renovation was over a year ago and all the work has been first rate. There wasn't a detail missed and everything's held up. For all my future renovations, Shefer Builder will be my first (and probably only) call.

We finally decided to have some renovations done to our house. This consisted of a full kitchen remodel, a fireplace remodel and changing the floor of the entire house from carpet to luxury vinyl planks. We did speak with several contractors but at the end, we chose to go with Shefer builders. Going in, we knew they wouldn’t be the cheapest but there were several reasons that made us pick Shefer. In talking with Yaniv, he seemed very knowledgeable with all the aspects of renovating. His advice and suggestions were sound and good. He had a team that helped with administrating and designing, and he offered 3D rendering which we thought was a big plus. We were be able to see the kitchen layout before it was even built. More pluses were that he offered to handle the entire permitting process, something we’re not familiar with and he also had connections with suppliers. He was able to help us get some of the materials backed by his knowledge of each. From cabinets, to the counter slab, to sinks and everything else, he gave good advice on what was good and what was not. Yes, we did research on our own, but he told us aspects of some of the materials that we didn’t even think about. We found this very valuable. So bottom line, we didn’t have to shop for everything ourselves. We just picked the styles we want and he’d help us get them. We probably wouldn’t be as confident if we had to get everything ourselves. Another important factor was insurance. Yaniv assured us that all his workers were adequately insured and backed it with up to date, current documentation. Yes, renovations can get chaotic but Yaniv’s team worked professionally. Everyone had a good attitude, they were friendly and they worked very hard. Like with any renovation, there were hiccups that popped up along the way. For any problem that came up, we told Yaniv and he addressed each one as soon as he can. Through the entire process, we always had good communication with Yaniv. It was mind blowing to discover how many details had to be discussed. From where tiling should end, on how to position knobs and pulls, how doors should swing open and so many others. Yet Yaniv always made himself available to talk to us. He was always responsive. Again, we feel that good communication is a key to having a project run smoother. We also tried to think what Yaniv and his workers go through. There were a couple of times when we decided to make some last minute changes. We tried to tell Yaniv right away and not wait until they were well into the work. He appreciated this very much that we saved him and his workers some unneeded work. The project finally finished, and we can honestly say that we are very happy in how it turned out. We wouldn’t hesitate to choose Yaniv and his team again for our next project.

I hired Shefer Builder to help with a kitchen project. I had a limited budget. I met with Yani Shefer and he took time to really listen to what I wanted AND what I could afford. But after meeting with Shefer Builder representative i was showed professionalism and i was confidence that this company can do the job. Shefer Builder just finished remodeling our two bathrooms. I had contacted two other smaller businesses to get going on these projects. They were taking so long to get back regarding time frames and price, that in the meanwhile I had Shefer Builder come in. They were very professional and fun to work with. Yaniv really listened and made some great suggestions. I knew going in that I would be paying a premium for this company to do the job-they have their contractors lined up and ready to go. I did not want a job that would drag on and on for months. Within 6 1/2 weeks BOTH bathrooms were complete and beautiful!! It would have been sooner, but we were gone for a week and didn't have anyone working then. I would have Shefer Builder back again...in fact, the kitchen could be next...

I just finished a kitchen remodel by Shefer Builder. I could not be happier with the results, nor more impressed with the process. It started with Yaniv. He was fabulous to work with, he listened to my ideas and added his considerable expertise to make the design perfect. After the design process, the job was assigned to a project manager who double-checked everything about the design from the installation perspective. Yaniv is very detail-oriented, which I appreciate! After that meeting, he scheduled all of the crews that would be necessary to complete the job. At the onset of the job, I received a schedule listing what would be accomplished daily and the name of the person(s) who would be at the house that day. They stayed completely on schedule and the workmanship and demeanor of the work crews was exemplary.

As with any big job we obtained 3 bids from separate remodeling contracting companies in San Jose area to remodel two of our upstairs bathrooms. We knew we were looking at a fair estimate and they gave the same. But the project manager Yaniv made the decision a bit easier by the effort he went into drafting up the most detailed plan that gave us the best idea of what we could expect. That and an excellent showroom providing a wide variety of cabinet, tile and accessory options to chose from. It turned out we made the right decision. The project manager provided us with a detailed daily schedule of who would be out on what day and what they would be doing. Their workers are skilled artisans that transformed our bathrooms into a work of art that we can now be proud of. Of course with any job there are unexpected issues that come up, but the project manager was always accessible and saw to it that the corrections were quickly and properly addressed.

Yaniv remodeled my kitchen and bathrooms, and the whole interior recently, I cannot express how happy and satisfied I am with Shefer Builder. I first remodeled my kitchen, and I was very satisfied with the outcome, and I decided to move forward with remodeling my two bathrooms. I had my property remodeled in NY last summer and worked with bunch of contractors there, which was a nightmare. I have a vacation home in San Jose , and Shefer Builder remodeled the whole interior; bathrooms and the kitchen, office, and the family room. They helped me pick the tiles, counter tops, cabinets even if I was in NY! Great customer service!! I was sent pictures and provided with video calls so I could see the progress. I'm very, very satisfied with the work they have done and will use them again for my second property soon.

We just finished a bathroom remodel in our early 1900s home in San Jose with Shefer Builder. From the estimate process to the finished product, we were impressed working with Yaniv. He took the time to understand our vision and what we wanted. Other contractors showed us all of the things they have done, while he focused more on what we wanted, and then helped in design interpretations and suggestions. From the moment we called Shefer Builder for the initial meeting until the project started we dealt with Yaniv. He was amazing- we had countless meetings and changed our layout and finishes on multiple occasions. Yaniv showed incredible patience with our attention to detail from a design point of view. He always met us with a smile and good humour despite many of our meetings running late and being very long. He was very quick at getting back to us on email with costings or options which made it easy to make our decisions. He is a great communicator both over the phone and via email which made things so much easier. He made some great suggestions on design and finishes which we incorporated in the final design. We spent many months planning the renovation with Yaniv and he seemed just as invested in getting the right design before starting as we did. He was an absolute star. Every trade did an outstanding job and we admired their workmanship throughout the build and even more so now that we have our beautiful home. Whenever we visited, the site was always clean and tidy. Yaniv is a rare contractor in that he is flexible, accommodating, and honors his estimates of time and cost for your project. He wasn't the least expensive bid we got, nor was he the most expensive. But we are so glad we went with him - he and his team did a stellar job remodeling our bathroom. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were top-notch. Yaniv and his crew working everyday for 2 weeks, and these guys did everything - demo, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, tile... They were truly jack-of-all-trades builders. They had excellent dust control and clean-up, they were creative problem solvers, and we were impressed by their talent and work ethic. Beyond their skills, Yaniv and his team were warm and affable guys that we enjoyed being around, which is a very important consideration when deciding who you want hanging around your house for weeks if not months! We can't wait to bring them back for our next project :)

I was able to work with an excellent designer (Adam and Dan) and a very competent contractor (Jack) and my project went well and I am happy with the results. Jack understood my need to have the remodel blend with the rest of my 1935 house and also my budget. He provided detailed drawings so that I could see what the finished project would look like and offered good advice about the shower, faucets, vanities, and flooring. Jack was terrific to work with also--he and his technicians were always professional and polite. The project was not rushed but completed in a reasonable amount of time. Any problems/concerns I had were addressed in a timely way and everything was resolved to my satisfaction. I would definitely work with Shefer Builder again.

I am extremely happy with how my kitchen remodel turned out. I requested Adam for the design part and he did a great job with the cabinet layout design. He spent a ton of time before I had even signed a contract with Shefer Builder getting the layout to be exactly what I wanted and negotiated down to the price I wanted. Ron was my Project Manager and he was awesome! As the project was underway he would suggest improvements to me without increasing the price or timeline. The project was exactly on time, although I will say that they add a lot of padding to their schedule. The total time was 3 weeks, and several weeks work was only done 1 or 2 days. So I think they could have done it faster but would have put their timeline at risk. For example, the wrong cabinets showed up but they had plenty of time to correct that mistake within the overall timeline. They are great at kitchen layout design and were helpful with material selection. I needed to match my existing floors and wall colors and Ron suggested much about it. If you are looking for kitchen remodeling just give them a call infect they can do any remodeling project for your home.

Ron and his team did a great job remodeling our master bathroom. I was surprised when he said it would take them 5 weeks from start to finish. To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to having a mess in my house for that amount of time. But his aesthetic ideas and his professionalism made us decide to hire him. I have to tell you: after seeing how they work and everything they did, I wouldn't trust anyone that says it can be done in a couple weeks. There's just no way!! Just tiling took one week! But you have to see how perfect those tiles are! Not also did they finish the job on schedule, they also cleaned after themselves every single evening. All his crew was here on time every morning, worked quietly and politely and left leaving everything tidy. You know how sometimes you see the contractor you hired the first day and he never shows up again? Not Ron. He was here checking in almost every day and he was very accessible when I had questions or we needed to go over finishes or details. It's like having a contractor and an interior designer together! We couldn't be happier with the end result. The 5 weeks went very fast and we have peace of mind knowing that the internal parts of our bathroom are as beautiful and well done as the exterior. We've already told Yaniv that we'll be hiring him again for the guests bathroom. If you want to beautify your space by doing it right, under codes and timely, Ron is your guy!

I love my new kitchen designed by Shefer Builder. It functions perfectly saving many steps. It has stayed in perfect condition with good use reflecting wise choices of materials & appliances. We love this space, our family loves it too, but the compliments we get from visitors are so outstanding! It is so much fun to see their faces! This kitchen has the wow factor everywhere you look! The work was a complete demolition and re model of a 2nd bathroom, which involved removing and existing bathtub, moving and existing wall and installing a walk in shower. The new shower was fully tiled, as was the floor. Project included new vanity, lighting, fixtures, molding and paint. This was a first class project. The job started on time and ended on time. Yaniv kept us informed at every step of the way and he is so pleasant to deal with. His workers were first class professionals, shared the same customer focus and kept the work area clean. We absolutely will use them for other work in our home.

I don't have enough superlatives in the world to best describe Shefer Builder. They are just absolutely awesome. Any renovation would encounter some issue or another. What I like about Yaniv is how he manages through the issues having the customer front of mind. We had issues with our initial benchtop supplier. Working through very tight timelines, he pulled a lot of strings to get us another supplier to ensure we got a kitchen soon as possible. Yaniv was also helpful from start to finish. He was always responsive even to the silliest of questions from someone who doesn't understand kitchens. He guided us throughout the process all the way through. More importantly, we ended up with a stunning kitchen with a design that we absolutely love. The layout of our house is not the easiest to build a kitchen on but they got it spot on. Fantastic team!!! Yaniv, the designer, is so professional and patient, he came to our place to look at our kitchen and bathroom and helped us to redesign the whole thing at the spot of the first meeting and able to show us the new look with 3D visual! I had interacted with lots of kitchen companies / builders for the renovations of my place and my parents' place; Shefer Builder is simply the best. No wait time for the quotation and you know what exactly you are getting. I had a tight budget, and Shefer Builder offered great advice with great range of materials to choose in order to give me a fantastic solution. Not like lots of places, they did not even entertain me when they heard I do not have a big budget. Yaniv is great too. I will strongly recommend Shefer Builder to anyone.

Remodeling can be stressful. So many decisions and expenses. We thought about it several years. We researched, planned, saved and interviewed several companies. We wanted a general contractor that could handle all our needs (one stop). We met with Yani of Shefer Builder twice. We shared our budget, our wants, and our concerns. It's important you find someone you feel comfortable with and can have confidence in. It's your home after all. He made us feel excited about the possibilities and his portfolio was extensive. He had loads of ideas and thoughtful ways and places we could make our dreams come true. We'd lived in our 1959s home for 20 years. Everything needed updating. From the roof down to new flooring, new windows, doors, outside stucco, and a gorgeous new open floor plan kitchen (removed a wall) and bathroom! We couldn't be happier now! The end result is amazing. It looks like something in a magazine. Yet very livable. Yani helped with choosing wall colors, tile, flooring and fixtures. They built a new master walk-in closet with custom organizers. Added crown molding and pocket lights throughout and durable pretty flooring. During the process Yani stayed in touch constantly and sent pictures of the progress. If we had a question he was very responsive in returning a call or text. He stayed within our budget and even found places to save us money. We joke if we win the lotto we'll have Shefer Builder back to add a second story.

Shefer Builders provided a very comprehensive scope of work to remodel our master bath - which had a lot of damage and was very old. The had the manpower to meet dead lines and provided a designer to show us quality material and finishes. They kept the work areas very clean, were prompt and communicated well. From the start, they made us confident and comfortable that they were going to meet all our requirements, the finished product is just what we wanted, on time and on budget! Can't get much better than that!

We hired Shefer Builder to remodel our recently purchased condo. The project consisted of installing recessed lights, remodeling a bathroom and building a new closet. I am very pleased with the effort they (primarily their office manager, Natali) put in to make sure that all the necessary documents were in place so that the project could be approved by our HOA. I spoke to 7 contractors trying to get proposals and the documents required by the HOA. Three contractors backed out before giving me a proposal, one had messed up documents, one kept trying to upsell me, one seemed very inexperienced, and one provided a bid that seemed like a lowball bid. Shefer was professional in the bid process and the project was completed at the cost that I expected. I was impressed that for each facet of the project, i.e., electrical, tile, plumbing, painting, carpentry, a specialized crew was working on that facet. The quality of the work was excellent and Yani kept on top of the project to make sure that everything was done correctly. I appreciate that working in a condo and around HOA requirements is not easy. Shefer did a great job in completing the project with essentially no complaints from the neighbors or the HOA. He believes in providing quality products, which was very important to me. He only works with top-notch people who provide beautiful results, such as my custom vanity, shower slab and sink with specialty edging, exacting shower tile and floor installation, frameless glass shower with custom extra-large mirror and extra work on my currently textured walls and turned them into lovely and smooth painted walls. We then moved on to the rest of the house. This included recessed lights and high quality flooring throughout, custom hall linen closet, custom china cabinet, a new sub-panel and foundation work. In addition, a complete new kitchen with custom cabinetry, new counter and backsplash. Also new custom fireplace with custom built-ins on either side. All this work was done beautifully with wonderful workmanship and his workers were very pleasant and accommodating. The owner is very involved in his jobs and he has a personal touch when it comes to working with his clients. Once you meet him you instantly know you can trust him. You know he has integrity, he s honest and truly cares about you and your project. He aims to please and goes WELL Above and Beyond for his Clients.

I planned to work with a different contractor for our bathroom remodel, but I didn't like how he and I were communicating. So I called Shefer Builder and am very glad I did! Yani's people skills and "can-do" attitude were encouraging. Every time I had a question or concern, Yani quickly responded. The workers in our home were polite and hard-working, and the job was completed in record time -- three weeks, including permits. The bathroom is beautiful, and my husband and I are thrilled.

Yaniv and Ana are totally and unbelievably professional and helpful! We have hearing loss, they worked with us to understand what we need for our house with no hestitation. We just got a new roof and gutters. Our old knob and tube wiring has been totally replaced with Romex wires. We are very happy with their performance and service. I would give Yaniv, Anna and crew a two thumbs up for their recent remodel of our 3 bathrooms. Every construction job has surprises when you crack into the walls and really get to work. The true measure of a company is how they deal with the unexpected and still get the job done. Yaniv gives a very detailed project overview before you sign the contract, so very little left to the imagination. They have a unique process where they get paid for time and internal construction elements and you pay for the fixtures and tiles etc, directly so you avoid the markup. However, Yaniv and Anna will work with you to make all those choices and even accompany you to the store to get the products. I travel a lot and I was set on some high end cabinetry, that I had just installed in our kitchen. I was unable to go to the showroom to make the order myself so Yaniv and Anna stepped in and spent hours getting the product ordered. They go above and beyond and really truly seem to be grateful for the work that you have given them. Press him a little and he will probably text you a video the dinner he is preparing! In the end we have become friends as well. If you have a project, I would recommend giving him or Anna a call.

Yani has been my “go to” contractor for the past three years, very professional and great to work with. Bathroom remodeling time manners was perfectly, 6 weeks to finish everything from demo , passed all inspections and install all fixtures, yaniv helps me to choose my dream bathroom starting with 3D design, pull permit from the city and help me choose all that needs . Highly professional and recommended! I just finished my master bathroom remodeling project with Shefer Builder and I am very happy with the result. Yani helped us with the designing and together we came up with a beautiful new layout. We extended our bathroom to give more room.
