We have worked with Roc for more than a decade on various projects and consultations. He (and his team) have consistently made us feel as though we were his only client. We hired Roc to do a fairly complicated garage project for our new home we purchased in Chicago. We expanded our garage door opening and replaced large cement columns in front of our house with steel so that we could make our garage more functional while maintaining the structure of our home. Roc and his team were very responsive and hands-on with coming up with the best cost-effective solution for our project. Once we were all in agreement on what we wanted, his team was able to execute and complete our project within a few short weeks. We love the outcome and use of our new garage opening for the cold Chicago winters. I highly recommend Roc. He is professional, creative, fast and has a great team!

Crescent Rock Builders are truly a custom home builder in every sense of the word. They provide outstanding quality craftsmanship, original ideas and amazing communication throughout the project. They also work extremely well in a "team" environment with the architect and designer and made themselves available for all meetings. The level of professionalism was amazing and our house was done on time. I would use Crescent Rock Builders on any project in the future without hesitation.

After interviewing many architects and many builders, we chose Crescent Rock because of their reputation and experience. In 2008 we purchased a property in Old Town/Lincoln Park (Chicago) that we wanted to demolish and build from the ground up. They were phenomenal to work with. We used not only traditional materials in construction (brick and steel) but innovative materials that were imported from Europe/Scandinavia. Their breadth and depth of experience in residential construction allowed us to build a solid house that we are as happy today as were from the day we moved in. Our 6000 sq ft home is five levels with two storied windows, equipped with an elevator, open staircase, 5 bedroom suites, multiple decks and a two car garage. The house was featured in the Wall Street Journal (November 30, 2012). They worked extremely well with our architects (Scott Osterhaus and John McCarthy) making sure that every detail from architect's blueprint could be translated to a physical reality. Their experience allowed them to have meaningful dialogues with our architects so that construction detail could be taken into account. They watched closely over the subcontractors making sure of the quality of the work was at the level expected. They gave wonderful suggestions of individual craftsmen who built many of the custom components. They made sure that the project was well within the budget we set and was completed within the time that we agreed upon. To be able to manage that is worthy of praise. We can honestly say that we have had absolutely no problems in the years since. This is because of their attention to detail and that they built our home as if it was their own home. Every home that they have built is of this quality. Even years later, it is not infrequent for them call us from time to time asking us if their anything they can do for us. Perhaps the greatest complement we can give to Roc and Chris Roney of Crescent Rock, is that we will without reservation have them build our next home.

We worked with Crescent Rock to build our family home. The homes they build are like nothing I have seen. On our project we worked specifically with Roc Roney. He was a pleasure to work with personally and professionally. He was very passionate about the mechanical parts of building and inspiring in his ability to help shape the aesthetics of the home . People constantly compliment us on our home to this day. The concept and vision of it was mostly borrowed from notes of Rocs past projects. Structurally the homes integrity is impeccable and we've had very very few things to tend to since we have moved in. All the tradesman especially Marik and his gang of carpenters and electricians were the highest quality craftsman and highest quality human beings. The whole group made it feel like an old world experience where everyone really cared about creating a lasting safe and inspiring space that would shelter a young family for some time to come . We paid for what we got and we got what we paid for . In the end building a custom home isn't for everyone , sometimes I didn't know if it was for me , but if I were to do it all over it would be with this same crew .

With their help, we significantly changed the back half of our house which has improved our quality of life. We have four boys and needed to make some changes that would allow us to stay in our house but give us all more space while improving the aesthetics of the house. Crescent Rock was our guide throughout the process which included vetted the designs to following through on every detail resulting in a very happy ending. We continue to call on Crescent Rock to help us think through our house today. Above everything else, they were our advocates and delivered practical advice as if they were the decision maker. They work to finish on time, on budget, and with a quality and design aesthetic that was perfectly aligned with us.

Crescent Rock is what I would describe as a full service general contracting firm: they accompany their clients from the very infancy of a project (land or building purchase) until the delivery of the fully finished product. We chose to work with them after a referral from trusted friends and are glad we did. We had big dreams but were budget conscious and their involvement in the initial phases is a huge part of what made this project possible and what set them apart from the competition, as their expertise, technical knowledge and common sense created an ideal structured framework for us and the architect. Something we dearly needed as novice home builders. We were able to let the process guide our vision because we had such a strong team. The construction process was overall very smooth. Chris and Roc made a great team, alternating between focusing on the technical intricacies of the tasks at hand and the logistics of coordinating the trades, while making sure the budget was as close to target as possible. They never compromised on the quality of material and craftsmanship and presented us with accurate and honest numbers if something was running the risk of going over budget, so that appropriate decisions could be made in time. We have now been in our house a little over 4 months and have just started to really appreciate the impressive quality of the work and the attention to detail shown by Chris and Roc. We and the architects dreamed a house for our family and Chris and Roc made the thousands of moving parts come together masterfully. It truly feels like this is the place we had in mind for our family. I would highly recommend Crescent Rock to anyone.

Crescent Rock are true team players. They are honest and upfront about costs and will work around the clock to build the house you imagine- always with the utmost creativity, cost sensitivity, and attention to the most minute feature, assessing pros and cons. They made the build out of our special home a true pleasure and they put so much thought into every detail giving full explanations, follow-up and continual care of the house long after it is built. They work with true artisans and will fully research any idea the architect or owner comes up with. I recommend this company fully.
