We hired Jeremy and Sterling Custom Construction for a MAJOR renovation to our home (almost a tear down). Jeremy has been easy to work with, and not only is he a great builder, but he has experience in architecture, which adds a new layer of understanding to the process. Our house was completed over 3 years ago and we still have a great relationship with Jeremy and the folks in his company. We are now looking at doing a small home project and one of the first phone calls was to Jeremy to get his opinion and input. I know so many people who have been either unhappy or abandoned by their builder and don't have any relationship after the work is done. From the design of our one-of-a-kind custom built home by Sterling Construction to the completion, we are so pleased and proud to be in our new home in The Bluffs at Cape Fear. A lot of creativity was shown from the initial floor plan adding an extra sized master bedroom/bath, huge master closet and an exceptionally large laundry room making my wife's dream come true. Almost daily we witnessed the progress of Jeremy and his great team building this beautiful well constructed home. As the structure was being built, it was amazing to see how clean the property was maintained from one contractor to the next. Jeremy's talent of keeping one abreast of the progress and workflow attributed to his ability of great planning and scheduling. It made the process of building a new home very exciting knowing that this was going to be our final destination. Jeremy has the expertise and experience to help us build a modern house. The quality of the build is extremely high. It's been a couple years since we moved in and so far not a single problem whatsoever. Jeremy is down to earth, responsible, and responsive. He works with us to solve problems and helps us stay with our budget without compromising on quality. It's absolutely clear that he cares about the houses he builds as if they were his own and his customers (us for example) can depend on him for the long haul. When my husband and I decided to tear down our 60 year old beach cottage and rebuild a new home on the lot, we knew that deciding on a builder was going to be a very important component in the process. No pun intended but we "Nailed" it with Jeremy Bishop of Sterling Custom Construction! First of all he got us in our home on such a timely manner that we didn't miss a summer on the beach. More importantly, he built a beautiful, top quality, well constructed home that we could not be happier with! Jeremy steered us in the right direction with every decision from top to bottom. It's hard to believe we have been in our house over 2 years now, and still any time I have had a question or needed something Jeremy has responded right away. He's just a wonderful person to work with and someone you can trust without a doubt. He truly cares about doing a good job for his clients and I can't say enough in recommending him as a builder!

We extensively interviewed 4 builders for our very complicated, architect designed, major remodel. Jeremy was the one who always had the best ideas and solutions to problems during the bidding process and was fairly priced, so we chose Sterling. The project involved pushing the entire back wall of the house out by 10 feet on all 3 floors, replacing most of the roof, adding 2 new bedrooms, removing 3 pilings in the great room and replacing them with a 40 foot steel beam. The work took about 9 months. This was very complicated and arduous work and the end result is nothing short of spectacular. Sterling has architectural as well as building expertise and so was able to make suggestions, even for revisions of the architect's plan, that dramatically improved the livability of the dwelling. Sterling also faithfully kept after the punch list after completion, and after final payment, until all items were resolved properly. I can't imagine a better builder or choice for our project. Being at the project every week to observe the work I can also say Jeremy and his crews were professional, very pleasant and accommodating to work with. This is our 6th house, several with major remodels, and it just doesn't get any better. If you would like a personal reference I am happy to provide one through Sterling.

As a custom home designer I had the opportunity to work with Jeremy and our client, the homeowner, on a modern beach house in Surf City NC. Working with a builder who can understand design intent and successfully accomplish was wonderful. The quality and finishes turned out great, and custom designed features were not a problem for his team to execute. Highly recommended.

Jeremy Bishop of Sterling Custom Construction is an outstanding builder and an outstanding person. The workmanship on our home was first rate, whether done by Jeremy personally or by his subs. He is a master at getting quality subs to do their best quality work. But what really has made Jeremy unique has been his follow through. Even though we have been in our house for just over a year, he is always available to make right any issues we uncover.

Absolute attention to detail in renovating our home.! Jeremy thought of things we had not considered during the re-construction which saved us money and time in the long run. He re-used many materials we thought were not salvagable which also saved us money. We feel that Jeremy took the same care with our home, as he would have with his own home. The quality of his work is excellent, and he chooses his subcontractors with care for the same level of excellence. We were absent during the construction, but Jeremy kept us up to date almost daily with photos and phone calls. I requested the services of Sterling Custom Construction to design and build our primary residence. Jeremy provided a smooth process from start to finish. His ability in design, and experience in remodeling brought a great deal of knowledge to the project.
