Tom Wells did a fantastic project for me and my husband. The word “awesome” is overused but that is exactly how we felt about the results. We presented Tom with a very difficult challenge that had an extremely tight time frame. We needed to have an ADA level shower installed in our laundry room (on the first floor) for my husband, who was leaving physical rehab, within 2 weeks. This required planning, plumbing, electrical work, not to mention demoing a good bit of the existing laundry room. There were many things to consider including digging a trench, moving water pipes, installing electrical outlets and in-wall heaters, meeting standards; and, correcting some of the defects that existed in the room and improving the hallway and next door powder room. They were done seamlessly. Tom’s approach was very collaborative. He listened and made suggestions to me enabling me to feel comfortable doing the same. Working together, we were able to come up with a solution that more than met our immediate and future needs. We now have a safe and workable environment for my husband and me. Tom’s communication skills were excellent. He explained and followed up on every aspect of the project. I always knew what was going to be done, who was going to do it and when the task would be started and completed. Tom’s attention to detail was phenomenal. Everything was meticulously done. Being a former Project Manager myself, I would rate Tom’s performance “outstanding”. I will use Tom again when the need arises and definitely will recommend him to my friends and associates.

We live in a historic farmhouse, which requires contractors who have the knowledge and the specialized skill to undertake renovation projects. Tom Wells was the only contractor we trusted to do a total upgrade of our kitchen. He was courteous, meticulous, communicative and respectful of our family's needs during our 5-week renovation.

We have worked with Tom and his team on several of his projects and each time has been a pleasure! He is very organized in his planning of the work-flow and his job sites are neat and orderly. As a painting contractor, we find it is VERY rare to have a GC who gives us the time to properly prep and finish a space so as to have the best finished-product possible. We are also impressed with his consideration of the homeowner's schedule and needs during the renovation. Let's face it, having construction on your home can be difficult if little consideration is given, but Tom always seems to be aware of the homeowner's comfort which inconveniences them as little as possible.

I've had the pleasure of working with Tom Wells on 5 jobs so far, and every one has been a wonderful experience. He is thorough and detailed in his estimating and planning. He schedules his jobs meticulously, informs me of the timeline, and keeps to the schedule. (These qualities are so rare to find!) He is always collaborative and cooperative, helping me out with a construction detail that needs to be solved, or letting me know about new products that could be useful. Tom keeps me informed of the progress of construction and involves me if any changes need to be made on the fly. Tom cares about his clients the same way I do. We both feel a loyalty and duty to our clients and we work hard to make sure every detail of the remodeling is what is best for them and their specific needs. I know when Tom and I are on the team, the client is going to be thrilled with the result: on time, on budget, and an executed design that exceeds their expectations.

Tom added a large addition to our home including a brand new open concept kitchen, eat in area and family room and also a new laundry room on the first floor. We also had to upgrade our electrical and add all new central air conditioning. His planning and staging of the job was right on schedule and he made it flow in such a way that it was not disruptive to our living in our home while the construction was happening. His level of attention to detail was also impeccable. We are very satisfied with every aspect of his work and would recommend him highly.

Tom was recommended to me by a structural engineer. He removed a load bearing wall in my family room and installed a beam that is only 2" proud of the ceiling. We decided to make the ceiling look like tic tac toe board to balance the visual and it looks great. For this project, Tom built a temporary wall in our basement and one on either side of the wall to be removed. Now we have a gorgeous family room that is 33% larger than it was and solid as a rock. Tom also remodeled our powder room and master bath. Because I am an artist and furniture maker, I designed the spaces. Tom won two NARI awards for our master bath. I have recommended Tom to all friends interested in a remodel project.
