This being our first big remodel of our beloved home, we were anxious about well...everything. The staff at Tradewinds could not have been a better fit for us. Peter K patiently went through multiple revisions of the plans (since we're a little picky) before starting the project to make sure we got what we were after. Once the walls came down, the project went so smoothly we found ourselves asking if we should have done more. Certainly, there were unexpected things that popped up (weird, in a 1939 home) but the team at Tradewinds adapted and solved these issues without skipping a beat. When we said "hey, our foundation is sinking so we need to fix that but we'd like to stay on schedule" they adjusted the construction schedule around the foundation company's timeline and stayed on schedule. In fact, not only did we finish on time but we finished on budget. That NEVER happens. We especially appreciated the attention to detail that Peter C possesses. He made sure that there were no shortcuts taken and what we had in our heads materialized in our home. Thanks to Tradewinds, we now have the home we've always envisioned and are the envy of our friends. Everyone knows there are a number of individuals in the design and construction business who give the industry a bad name, the individuals at Trade Winds Construction are not them. We cannot say enough good things about them and we can't tell enough people about them; Peter K, Peter C, Sara, their crew, subs and vendors are amazing! Just a few words to describe them: reliable, attentive, creative, timely, friendly, knowledgeable, insightful, thoughtful, accessible, professional, trustworthy and that is just to name a few. There were no surprises, the estimate provided in the beginning was the price we paid at the end unless we changed something. There was no up selling, no pressure and they were with us every step of the way. Trade Winds Construction takes pride in their work and they should, it is beautiful. We were happy when we purchased our home, we were glad we hired Trade Winds Construction for the renovation and we are super excited with the end results. Job well done, Thank YOU!

Trade Winds was recommended to us by our realtor when we bought our house, relocating from Massachusetts. The house needed a variety of updates and improvements and we were not going to be moving in for several months. So we engaged them to do the work while the house was unoccupied, while we were back in Massachusetts. The work involved tasks by their own crew, as well as coordination/oversight with a variety of other subs/suppliers. Our trust was paid back in full!!! Their work was impeccable and carried out very professionally. Communication was very thorough. Attention to detail and focus on quality was wonderful. And both Peter K. and Peter C. are great to work with! We have continued to use their help with additional tasks since we have moved in and will use them for anything that comes up in the future.

What we liked about Trade Winds Contracting: The leadership. The owner, Peter Karpuk, makes a marvelous first impression. On time, natty, and poised. He is self-assured, modest and unpretentious. He is articulate and he listens well (kind of a rare trait in this world) to understand his client’s needs and expectations. Within minutes you sense he has the experience, knowledge and know how you had hoped for and require. He radiates confidence (without arrogance) and by conversation’s end captures your trust and respect. Communications. The follow up to our first meeting was over the top. A detailed outline of their recommendation, cost and work plan was provided promptly. Our project leader (Peter C) was accessible, quick to return phone calls and provide regular updates. Sub-contractors. Trade Winds have aligned themselves with first class sub-contractors. Their subs are reliable, professional and trustworthy. Their commitment to perfection is amazing. They are on time, respectful and neat. Additional thought: Although we worked from a plan provided by a professional interior designer our project manager and the subs from time to time made appropriate suggestions and shared ideas that enhanced the beauty and functionality of our makeover. Hopefully my excitement and enthusiasm for the Trade Winds organization is coming through loud and clear. Our experience was marvelous and the finished product is simply stunning.

We hired Peter K, Peter C, and the Trade Winds crew for a major home renovation and we could not be happier with the results. They completely transformed our 1950's home that had not been upgraded in decades into a beautiful, mid-century-modern house that we absolutely love. Not only were they very easy to work with, but they added tremendous value in helping us make all of the countless decisions that come with taking on such a huge project. They had a great understanding and knowledge of all of the minor finishing details that go with a home renovation and did a wonderful job tying together our tastes with the best available and functional options, even for mundane items like door knobs. They also helped us come up with creative and beautiful solutions for accenting certain rooms (for example using marble tiles on the wall to turn the fireplace into a beautiful showpiece). Everyone we met on their crew was also very friendly and polite. We would highly recommend using Trade Winds for any home improvement projects!

We are very happy with Trade Winds, our kitchen/family room turned out beautifully. Peter came up with excellent ideas in the design process and was very easy to work with. Peter C did a great job staying on schedule and in budget. We are very happy with the quality of work and we will definitely be using Trade Winds again for future projects.

We have a collaborated on a number of projects with Trade WInds and have been consistently impressed with every aspect of their jobs - quality, attention to detail, customer service, cleanliness, staying on schedule. They are probably the best general contractor we have ever worked with and there customers are always happy!

I have Mr. Karpuk re-do a guest bathroom and the results were excellent. Not only was he a constant professional through the entire process but kept the house and bathroom immaculately clean.
