We worked with Tranquility to transform our unfinished basement into a wonderful living space with an entertainment area, pool table area, gym, and storage. We worked with them to remodel our upstairs and had such a good experience that we worked with them again when we were remodeling our basement. We partnered with Tranquility builders for a sun room addition at our house in Naperville. We are beyond excited at how it has turned out. The design fits our house perfectly and working with Tranquility design team led by Ryan was easy and fun. Ryan used 3D graphics to help us visualize the room both inside and outside. Tranquility is not going to be the most cost economical option, but they do not compromise in the quality of materials or workmanship. They are really upfront. They have a very good team and the ability to really ensure that our room addition (or remodeling) was ultimately done correctly and to our full expectation was really amazing. We honestly felt that it was money well spent. Of course there were some hiccups, but that is to be expected with construction in general specially with supply chain issues. They made an extra effort to hit the deadlines without compromising the quality of construction. Product Engineer Elliot was always available to discuss, evaluate and resolve any issues that arose during the project. His subject matter expertise was always apparent and impressive. Not to leave out the team members. They were really nice to work with and always responsive. Overall, we are incredibly happy with the result and honestly think we got the addition that we always wanted. We would not hesitate to work with Tranquility Builders again.

We are so happy that we found Tranquility Builders! We recently bought a new home that needed a significant amount of updating and Tranquility has now remodeled the entire first and second floor of our home (including everything from the kitchen and master bathroom to the mudroom and sunroom). From our first meeting with Ryan, we knew that we could genuinely trust the Tranquility team. Ryan brought creative design ideas to the table, as we knew a second floor laundry room was a must-have for us but couldn’t figure out how to squeeze it in. Ryan came up with a great idea that has worked out perfectly and we are so pleased with the outcome. Bev was our general manager and I simply can’t say enough good things about her. It’s apparent from day 1 that the customer experience is of utmost importance to her and I truly appreciated her open communication throughout the remodel process. Tim was our carpenter and he consistently went above and beyond, his woodwork skills are top notch and he is a pleasure to work with. Tranquility allowed me to make our remodel a truly custom experience from the cabinetry right down to the layout of drawer inserts. Their design software brought everything to life before construction started so I was very confident in what the final product would be, which gave me great peace of mind. The entire Tranquility team was wonderful to work with. They remodeled the majority of our first floor, including our kitchen, powder bath, family room, laundry room and stairs. We chose to live in the house during the renovation with 3 small children and they made the whole experience as painless as possible. Elliott was wonderful with communication and let us know each night who would be at the house the next day. All the contractors were very professional, knowledgeable and great to work with. We made several changes/add-ons throughout the project and both Elliott and our designer Caitlyn were patient with us and helpful in making sure we got exactly what we wanted. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and love our new house! We look forward to working with them again for future house projects.

Five Stars - Highly Recommended Tranquility Builders. Tranquility have redone our last 2 basements and they did an absolutely outstanding job from start to finish. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, their professionalism and attention to detail were top-notch. We love our newest basement - they transformed an unfinished space into a beautiful living space, with multiple rooms (an office, TV room, game room) and they added a bathroom! The quality of the work is excellent - the framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, etc. were all done with skilled craftsmanship. Elliot was our project manager and he kept us updated every step of the way and addressed any concerns we had promptly. When we requested a few small design changes partway through, they accommodated us without issue. We trust Tranquility - we called them about a plumbing issue a few months after the basement was finished and they sent their plumber right out. It's a family business which I like and they delivered a fantastic finished basement at a fair price. We are overwhelmingly satisfied and highly recommend them to anyone considering a basement renovation project. They get an A+ rating from us!

Tranquility was our 3rd and final attempt in securing a contractor for a unique project. We were transforming an above garage storage space into a full blown coach house/condo. Well to say it worked is an understatement. From day one, this dynamic family run team delivered on all points; on time, on budget, creative use of space, excellent project management. Every day I would know what to expect from my point of contract on the job. Never was I left wondering what was happening daily, weekly, etc. The professionalism was above and beyond with everyone they brought into the job. I highly recommend this team. Outstanding experience renovating the first floor of our home from a old 1970's colonial to a modern, spacious open concept design. Tranquility provides expertise on design, oversees their team of skilled craftspeople and provided daily advice and practical solutions than inevitably arise when renovating an old home. Now that our project is done and we no longer see our project manager daily, we feel like we're missing a member of the family. Our project manager was at our house daily to check on status, plus communicated with us continually regarding who to expect at our house the next day(s) and what time they would arrive. Costs of the project and estimates for work scope changes that we requested along the way were transparent and agreed upon at every juncture. We completed our project on time and are absolutely thrilled with the result! We're looking forward to future projects with Tranquility!

One of the best things we've done was to hire Tranquility Builders to build our add on. The staff of Jim, Caitlyn, Bev & Ryan were informative and wonderful!! Caitlyn did an amazing job designing our space and Jim kept all the trades "running". The electricians, carpenter and plumbers did everything we asked for and more! They have excellent project management skills and collaborated very well with our designer. They have excellent design ideas that tied everything together. Our experience working with Tranquility Builders was great. The team was always polite and friendly. They listened to our needs and budget concerns. Communication was clear, upgrades and charges were accurate and they were extremely responsive to texts and calls. The design assistant was very helpful guiding us to styles that were updated but not trendy. There are always problems during a construction project, but these guys and their subcontractors were quick to respond and quick to solve any issues throughout the job. The craftsmanship of the cabinets, countertops, and woodworking is excellent and their attention to details was top notch. Their “punch list” was longer than mine! We are extremely happy with the final result of our kitchen, mud room, powder room, stairway and main bath and how it fits into the rest of our home in a way that is beautiful and updated.

Tranquility was great to work with! We had a bathroom that we wanted to expand and several other builders weren't able to look outside the box and find a solution. Working with Ryan on the design and Elliot on the execution, we were able to increase the size of our bathroom, add a skylight and turn it into a spa like experience for our kids and guests. Now we just have to do the same to our master bath!

Covid made us realize we needed to make some changes at our home. Our initial plan was to do a large addition, however, when Ryan from Tranquility came out to meet with us he helped us realize the space we needed already existed! The design Abby and the Tranquility team came up with was great and their estimate was presented very professionally. They were not the cheapest estimate, but their attention to detail far surpassed the other estimates. The cheapest also didnt respond after their initial estimate. The work was done thoroughly, communication was great via daily texting/calling from Elliot and Bev, and even during Covid we managed to keep good progress to completion. We love our home and have rave reviews and comments from guests. Entire home remodel including kitchen, flooring throughout the home, mud room, powder bath, office, master bath, kids' hall bath, and dining room.

Tranquility was phenomenal to work with from Start to finish. My brother used Tranquillity to remodel his kitchen and after seeing the transformation, I was sold! It was an absolute pleasure to work with Tranquility on our kitchen renovation. From the first time we met Bev, we felt at ease. At our initial meeting, she looked around, took measurements, and went through what we would like for our space. She pointed out a pipe which might be an issue right away, and we appreciated knowing about this from the get go. Meeting with Ryan and Abbi to design the space was so much fun. It was great to see the 3D renderings. I had my heart set on one long island, but Bev and Ryan came and taped out the space to show me how two islands would be better aesthetically and from a working standpoint. I am so glad they were able to change my mind. Bev was also able to talk me off the cliff on a couple small design elements, pointing out that they would not be easy to change out and were very specific to my taste. She was not pushy at all, but her pointing these out changed my mind. Working with Elliott as our general contractor was great. Any issue that came up, he was on it. He kept us updated about what to expect week to week and sent us a text each evening on what would be going on the next day. This was especially helpful because it helped us to plan what to do with our kids and dog. We could not be happier with how our kitchen turned out, and there is not one thing we would change about it. All of the contractors were professional and did beautiful work. They kept us updated on any changes that needed to be made, and there were no surprises. We would highly recommend Tranquility to anyone looking to renovate their home.

We had a great experience with the entire Totsch family as they helped do a complete renovation of our master bathroom. They oversaw a complete transformation of the space into a luxurious bathroom that makes us feel like we're living in a hotel. There were two things I liked best about Tranquility. The first was their communication: Each night, we'd get a text from Elliott outlining what work would take place the next day and when the workers would be arriving. If you've ever worked with a contractor, you know this is not always something that happens. It was really appreciated. The second was the attention to detail. If anything needed an adjustment or touch-up, Tranquility was happy to see to it. I've never worked with anyone that did a better job of following up on bucket-list items. They weren't happy until we were happy! We really enjoyed working with Tranquility and hope to do so in the future!

I will definitely recommend Tranquility for any home improvement job you may be thinking about. To begin with, Bev is very thorough, and honest, with her estimate. She gave us all in's and out's on every choice we had to make. She ensured we made an educated decision about our project every step of the way. Bev and Jim are great to work with. Had great ideas in regards to our bathroom remodel in our 1896 home. Quality, concern and cleanliness during the work was outstanding. Always available for questions or concerns.

Based on a recommendation from a coworker, my husband and I hired Tranquility Builders to rebuild our house after an unfortunate water accident. They are professional, knowledgeable, and very nice to work with. With their help and expertise we ended up with a beautiful whole house remodel. I would absolutely recommend Tranquility Builders! We hired Tranquility to remodel all of our bathrooms - new tile, shower, cabinets, counters - the whole works. They also added two bathrooms, one in the basement and did an amazing conversion from a walk-in closet into a full bath, complete with a dormer and windows. We've known Bev for many years and have referred Tranquility to many of our friends. Trustworthy, responsive and quality work!

Jim and Bev were awesome ! They turned our basement into a bedroom for my mil. They thought of everything- even a few touches that were unexpected. I had a issue recently(not builders fault) and she made sure I got assistance be next morning. If we need any more remodeling we will use them !. Tranquility Builders turned our dream kitchen into reality! Worked within the confines of our 161 year old home to bring the kitchen into the 21st century, but keep it rooted with its past. In August 2014, we decided to do a full remodel of our 70s kitchen. We hired Tranquility Builders of Oswego, IL We presented them with our design requirements and they improved upon them. Bev Totsch and her subcontractors were always on time and were respectful of our home. Everything was replaced and remodeled -- walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinetry, and appliances. We were told the project would take about five weeks and it did. The end results were stunning! Everyone who's seen our new kitchen has been very impressed. We highly recommend Tranquility Builders.
