It was my lucky day when a staff member of the building where I live gave me Jakub's number. He was very easy to work with, a professional who understood all my needs for the bathroom of my dreams, gave excellent advice when I needed it, and very patient with my additions and changes. It was a major demo-and-do-over job, everything was new, from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. The project was on time. I was updated at each step. Most important of all was that the quality of work was super excellent. This is a company, a team that takes great pride in their work ethics and quality product. I am so happy with what they did for my bathroom that I am entrusting them to do a complete overhaul of my kitchen, coming soon.

Just completed an apartment renovation project with Jakub and Tamar and couldn't be more pleased. They surpassed my expectations! Their craftsmanship is top notch. They were great with communication (a contractor who listens is a rare thing!) and were always able to provide guidance and advise when changes were necessary. The project came in on time and budget and throughout the project I always felt they went above and beyond. I would definitely work with them again and have recommended them to friends and family.

My project started with interviewing six potential contractors. All had worked in my building or near community. I had an idea as to what work I wanted done and it was rather straightforward. I selected Z Carpentry and I can’t be happier with my decision. Unlike the others they listened to me. Working together we basically did a gut renovation. They never tried to upsell me. The first meeting was a window into what would be a very successful working relationship. They listened and respected my wishes while making very thoughtful and professional recommendations. They work well with my building staff. All the subcontractors they worked with very skilled and carried themselves in a very respectful manner. They did an amazing jobs on both bathrooms and the kitchen. The cabinetry was beautifully done throughout the apartment. When work need more attention most times they point out the issue but in all cases they were quick to rectify.Their craftsmanship was terrific. I would highly recommend them without qualification.

I've already worked with Jakub and Tamar on two projects in NYC. Both times they did a superb job, did not go over the estimates in terms of price or time - which is rare! They're true professionals and provided great input when we couldn't make a decision. I recommend them highly, and will definitely use zcarpentry again in the future.

Jakub and his team did an AMAZING job with our kitchen renovation. This was the first time we had ever done any kind of renovation project, and ZCarpentry was there to help guide us every step of the way. Any time we were unsure of what to do (e.g. what stone we should use for our countertops), they would lay out multiple options and give their recommendations (without being pushy). They also made sure to give us a range of options price-wise for the features we wanted, and were always upfront about extra costs. They even recommended a few additions that we hadn't even thought of but made the whole kitchen way better. On top of all this, they did the whole renovation incredibly quickly, so we wouldn't be without a working kitchen for long. If you're in between who to go with for a home renovation project, definitely go with ZCarpentry! Truly cannot recommend them enough.

Z Carpentry: Top-Notch Renovation and Excellent Service I recently hired Z Carpentry to completely demolish and rebuild my bathroom, and I couldn't be happier with the results. They were fantastic from start to finish. They meticulously followed my design plan, and the quality of their work is outstanding. I was so impressed with their professionalism and work ethic that I decided to have them tackle my closet area as well. The Z Carpentry team worked tirelessly, never once complaining about the heavy materials they had to move. They were also incredibly thoughtful extras that went above and beyond. For instance, they even surprised my building superintendent with a bottle of wine!

5 stars for how Jakub and Tamar work: transparent, meticulous down the little details, helpful, and efficient. 5 stars to how happy I am with how everything looks and feels. They made my vision board come exactly to life and more! It was a tricky room to make work in a tight space: tv room and guest room. They created a custom cabinet around an existing wooden Murphy bed, installed and mounted electronics without cables to be seen, moved electrical around, repainted the entire room, created a beautiful floating shelf, installed curtains/art/mirror, and even created that cover for the roller curtain which completely transformed the space. They’re called carpentry but they truly do it all. And 5 stars to how nice and what a pleasure it was (and will continue to be. I’m a fan!!) to work together.

For the longest time, I had a vision for remodeling the main staircase in my home, but I thought it would be impossible to achieve. Within a week after being referred to Jakub and his crew, my vision started coming to life. They were amazing to work with. From their attention to detail, to their thorough communication, professionalism, and cleanliness - down to every little customization - it was hands down the best remodeling experience. Because of them, I now have the best staircase in the neighborhood and it’s really become the staple piece of my home. I highly recommend working with them for all your home renovation needs.

My living room and bedroom were remodeled in 2022, my hallway in 2021, and my kitchen back in October 2020 by Jakub and Tamar. These guys are amazing at updating dreary rooms into sleek, contemporary living spaces. Jakub, Tamar, and their team are extremely meticulous, diligent, perceptive, amiable, and reliable. They add beauty and functionality to your living area. They do everything in their power to help you, and they respond to your inquiries quite quickly. This year, 2023, I had to get my old, leaky skylight in my hallway replaced. They informed me I had two skylights, one of which was worse than the other, when they were on my roof. Located above the venting shaft was the second skylight that was crumbling. In addition to doing the work within 3 days, they returned to do minor touch-ups. My hallway now gets an abundance of light and is leak-free thanks to the fixed skylight that was installed. They saw that I had solar panels installed when they were on my roof. They looked at skylights that could be better at venting the shaft for the second skylight, and they discovered a solar panel model. What a genius idea! The roof area surrounding my skylights needed to be repaired after they were installed, and it was expertly completed. I now have a solar-powered skylight to ventilate the shaft and another that lets in an abundance of light streaming into my hallway without any leaks. I will definitely have them back again to finish a job I have coming up. For all of your work, Z Carpentry comes highly recommended!

Friends and family have used ZCarpentry for home projects big and small for many years. My small project was renovating the 80 year old radiators/covers in my apartment. They came up with a really clever solution and it came out stunning … clean, modern, functional. Exactly what I wanted. My big project was a complete bathroom renovation for my mother’s apartment. We needed it to be safe for an older person with mobility issues. Despite running into some big surprises during the demo (it was in a 100+ year old house), the new bathroom came out amazing. Lots of smart setups to make it safe but still elegant. Even better, my mom loves it! Prices are fair for the high quality work (always be leery of the lowest cost providers). And the guys will always work with you closely to make sure you get what you want, on the budget you have to work with.
