Thinking of where to begin on reviewing this project is difficult. Most likely because it’s more than just a project, and working with the Absolute Team is way more than just a business transaction. From the first moment we happened across one of their homes and walked through, I immediately needed to know who built it and find out if they were a fit for what our future home might be. We were blown away by the quality and uniqueness of their build- and all the following ones we had the pleasure of touring as we explored the true custom process with them. Over the course of preparing a contract and planning what financial capabilities and limitations(lots of those) that we faced, we felt guided and listened to. We never felt that our budget would get in the way of accomplishing our priorities and liked having the support of Lisa and Nelu in evaluating what items or wishes could be put on hold or eliminated as savings. They worked closely with us and our trusted agent, Octavius, to develop a well thought out product that made the most of our budget without sacrificing quality. Over the course of time since we started, I have grown even more in my respect and trust of them. We have always been made to feel like family and the approach has been so collaborative and empowering. We feel honored to have been now working through their trusted and valuable vendors to plan with and make selections- they have been steller professionals and really instrumental in providing resources that fit our budget. One of the more recent resources is our project manager, Jake, their son. He has learned well and also brings amazing attributes and feeling of focus to our home build. He is kind, patient, resourceful, creative, tenacious, focused, intelligent, skilled, and goes out of his way (like his parents), to coordinate, communicate, and never ceases to amaze us with his partnership and innate sense of understanding. He gets the job done and manages so well. You can tell he truly wants to create happiness through his work and takes pride in it. Have we had some hiccups or unexpected situations along the way? Of course, it’s impossible not to in construction. But what I can say is that after building now what will be our 5th time… I’ve never experienced a team of people so committed to caring, being transparent, bringing ideas, solutions, and resolutions- even before we have a chance to notice a situation in most all cases. The amount of pride that swells from me in knowing that we will be making a home, from what is a product of their personal and professional investments as part of the Absolute business, is unimaginable and immeasurable. My only wish is that I could more adequately express my gratitude and the sense of family I feel with them. Our home is turning out more amazing than I could have imagined and I can’t wait to make new memories and continue life journeys in what will be the most special of all our homes. When we started looking for builders to help us build our home, we heard a lot of horror stories about contractors. Ultimately, we chose Absolute Construction and Development because we felt personally comfortable with Nelu and LIsa and I'm so glad we did. We came into the process knowing nothing and they spent time, energy and patience acting as our advocates so that our house would become our dream home. They genuinely care about their clients. They go the extra mile to communicate every step of the process and to guide you in next steps so you're never left wondering what is happening. Their sub-contractors are top notch and vetted carefully. Lisa and Nelu manage every step of the build so if anything needs corrected or changed, they likely know about it before you do. Let's face it - building a home is a complicated, messy project that can often have some unexpected pitfalls - Lisa and Nelu are amazing professionals who anticipate, mitigate and clean up pitfalls so the client feels secure and happy. They don't disappear after the build is complete, either - the punch list is given the same amount of care as the framing. I cannot recommend Absolute Construction more - no horror stories to tell!

Absolute Construction built our new home for us. Our home was a custom build and won the gold medal in the 2011 Parade of Homes in its price category. This was our first time building a home, and just to make sure the job was challenging, we were living in California and building in North Carolina. Absolute Construction was amazing. They walked us through the process so we would know what to expect, sat down with us to hammer out a line item budget, set up vendor appointments for us to pick out materials, and really facilitated the entire experience. They were very good about managing scope creep and always let us know when we were about to go over budget on any line item. They also brought in a photographer each week to take pictures of the build and post online so we could see the progress even though we could not be on site. Absolute Construction is no fly-by-night company. With some builders, once they job is done, you never hear from them again. But it's been 2½ years since we moved in, and Absolute is still in contact with us. Nelu (builder) gets an enormous amount of satisfaction in doing his job well and making sure you're happy with the end results, and it shows in his work and the work of his subcontractors. After all the nightmare stories I heard about building a new home, I cannot say enough good things about Absolute Construction—if we had it all to do over again, we would still build with Absolute.

Absolute built a house for us from our architectural plans. We lived in another state at the time and were lucky to have chosen Absolute -- they make a challenging project as stress-free as possible. They helped us understand the factors behind the costs and to stay within our budget. They steered us to suppliers for the various choices we had to make. The Absolute subcontractor team has worked together for years and coordinate with each other without being directed to do so. Finally, the work was completed in a timely manner and of exceptional quality.

It was a pleasure to work with Absolute Construction. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Nelu and Lisa kept us actively involved in the entire process even though we were out of state. They were very amenable to answering any question and concern no matter how small.

I would recommend Absolute Construction and Development to anyone considering building their own home. I've heard horror stories of the construction process but I can honestly say that working with Lisa and Nelu was a joy. The quality of work is the best I've ever seen and they are exceedingly communicative and respectful. Our project came in under budget with an extremely tight deadline. We interviewed many developers before deciding on Absolute and we have never regretted it. One of the biggest pluses for us was the one year punch list. New homes settle a lot over the year as the seasons change and Absolute returned anytime we had an issue and fixed it.
