Richard Kirby (then with his former company) built a custom home for us in Nicasio in 2010. He had an excellent reputation back then which is why we hired him. He did an excellent job in every respect. He was efficient and yet thorough, he took responsibility for problems that arose, and he got them solved with a minimum of involvement by us, he was careful with change orders and worked with us to minimize them, and the quality of his work was excellent. Importantly, he has continued to stand behind his work since its completion, and we could not have asked for a more professional contractor. We have recommended him to others, and we plan to have Richard do a remodel and expansion for us of another home later this year.

We had a very positive experience with Richard Kirby of Annadel Builders when we built our home. Richard and his team paid particular attention to detail and quality, which is crucial when working with a highly rated architect. Richard and his project supervisor imposed their own high standards with no need for urging from us, Richard was fair and ethical in resolving any issues that arose and, importantly, no major issues did arise. All in all, it was an unusually positive experience, and the house came out beautifully. In addition, Richard is a good communicator and guide through the process.

Annadel Builders is one of the best General Contractors I have had the pleasure of working with. Richard Kirby and his team were professional at all times. We have completed one successful single family residence with them, and are underway on two other projects. The result is a world class custom residence. The residence project on a remote site in Sonoma, California, had a number of challenges that demanded a team structure in which each and every member was committed to working together to achieve success. The project had a lot of firsts for the entire team....it was the first construction project for the owners, it was the first time we worked with Annadel, it was the first rammed earth house we have designed, and it was the first time the specified doors and windows had ever been used in the United States. Richard and his team believed in what we were trying to achieve, and worked tirelessly to manage the budget, material selections, and finish details.
