Builders’ Studio was established to help our clients realize their dreams: to build truly unique homes in extraordinary locations. ... and to realize our dream, too. The joy, excitement, and rewards we share while building these wonderful homes! Builders' Studio was incorporated in May of 2002. The owner, Hal Colvin has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years. Hal graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1980 with a degree in Environmental Design from the School of Architecture and has worked in the construction industry since 1970 as a tradesman, estimator, superintendent, project manager, and general contractor. We build custom homes because we truly love building beautiful, one-of-a-kind homes, and we are dedicated to fulfilling our clients’ dreams by building the highest quality homes on time and on budget. Custom home building is unique and differs from multifamily, commercial, and industrial construction. The builder must coordinate efforts across functional lines with an intuitive ability for rapid response to the flexible nature of the custom home process. Custom home building needs to be a "team oriented" approach. Our ultimate goal is to build you a home that reflects your visions and desires. This body of knowledge is contained within the client and their representatives, the architect, and the interior designer, and that knowledge is passed on to the builder through written plans, specifications, and open communication. The open (and documented) communication within the team allows for creativity and inspiration during the process and results in a wonderfully unique home. Hopefully, your completed project will be even better than you ever imagined! With this in mind, Builders' Studio is purposefully organized as a projectized organization. Unlike other business models, a projectized company is ideally suited for custom home building. It allows the builder to focus 100% of their attention on the construction of your home, with resulting efficiency in cost control, scheduling, and the attention to detail that this type of construction requires. Our goal is not to be a large construction company. Instead, our goal is to build highly customized homes on an individual basis. We strive to work as a team with you, your architect and your interior designer to build you the best home possible, all the while striving to complete the project on schedule and on budget.
