We built a custom home in Tetherow which has a lot of unique aspects. Copperline was great to work with (and I’m admittedly very demanding). We heard countless horror stories with local builders when we started our search, so I can’t recommend Copperline enough as we didn’t run into any issues. Honest, thoughtful and will always guide you in the right direction to get the most bang for your buck without sacrificing quality.

Mark and Josh Wilhite and the Copperline Homes Team were outstanding! My wife, Julie, and I embarked on our first home building project in 2016. We wanted this home to be very special and didn't know who to work with. Our architectural firm, Homeland Design (Joey and Beck...another great team) provided us with a number of quality home builders in the Bend area. After interviewing the options, it was clear to us that Mark and Josh would help us make our home truly special. They seemed to not just want to build to spec, but instead would offer creative ideas along the way. The Copperline team was very helpful from the early design, site layout and all the way through construction and even post construction. Despite us being 3 hours away, we regularly received updates, photos and videos on the progress. We often would get a call to discuss details and options to adjust the plans (never pressure, but plenty of help). This care and creativity was one of a few things that made Copperline so special and truly made our home a "custom home". It seemed like they were building a home for their families. Our home is now complete and its beautiful. We've received so many compliments on home, but best of all it feels like a home. Today, we are still commuting back and forth from Bend to the Portland Area and Josh and Mark continue to watch the home for us and are always there for any help we need. If you want a truly custom home with builders who create the special touches and high quality, you should give Mark and Josh a call. You won't be disappointed! We had a custom home built by Copperline, completed in 2018. The design had a lot of complex details and materials -- board-formed concrete, metal structures, custom built-ins, clear fir trim, etc. Copperline did an exceptional job with everything. They seem to know the best subs in town for doing this work. We are totally pleased with the work from Mark, Josh and Chris and would easily recommend them to our friends.

I give Josh and Copperline Homes the highest possible recommendation. Their attention to detail and follow-through was phenomenal. The project was on-time and on-budget and turned out beautifully. Josh made many suggestions to enhance our project. This is our first large construction project and we feel so lucky to have been able to work with Josh.

Copperline Homes and Tozer Design have collaborated on several projects, with great success. Copperline owners Mark and Josh Wilhite are problem solvers, have keen eyes for design, and never miss the details when it comes to assemblies and finishes. Also, Mark and Josh are wonderful individuals, and a pleasure to work with from conceptual design through construction.

Copperline is a small family owned business. This means that your project will always be a HIGH priority. Josh is the detail guy who has a great eye and lots of good ideas. Mark is more the hands-on person overseeing the subs. They also have a designer they work with who is quite good and reasonably priced. My dream house is now a reality!! It is not an easy process for someone who has never done it. The guys always remained calm, even if I sometimes did not. (Inevitable delays, especially building in snow country). IF you want a gorgeous, well built house then these are your guys!

We worked closely with them throughout the entire process from design and permitting to move in. Their creativity and attention to detail made for a finished home that exceeded our wildest expectations.

We had the pleasure of working with the Copperline Homes team to build our dream home. We started building right before Thanksgiving 2013 and we moved in at the end of October 2014, which was right on target with what we were promised. When we started searching for a builder, our main requirements included a contractor that understood our budget, our style and one that welcomed collaboration. Copperline delivered all of the above plus so much more. As active participants in our design process, they gave us frequent reality checks – not just regarding budget based on material choices, but also helping us to make sure that what we wanted to do was going to be buildable on our lot and in our climate. Thus, preventing trips back to the drawing board and construction delays. They also are extremely honest and transparent – we saw every invoice from their subcontractors. There are no secrets or hidden fees. Mark & Josh Wilhite are top-notch professionals that treated the building of our home as if it was their own personal residence. Their attention to detail is second to none! Not only are they as general contractors fantastic, they’ve developed a team of subcontractors that are best in class and are true craftsmen. When you embark on a custom home building project, it is time consuming and can be stressful on top of full schedules with work and family. The process with Copperline Homes was the opposite – we had fun working together. We had discussions and debates, but it was always positive and they always found a solution that met our champagne taste on our beer budget. We are pretty type-A people and both have a project management background. Copperline invested in a very simple to use, online project management tool that helped streamline communication and gave us visibility into upcoming deadlines and a central repository for all of our key files. It was enormously helpful and gave us a lot of comfort as to what was going on with our construction project. Every day we sit in our home and we are grateful that we chose Copperline to build our house. We wouldn’t consider another builder if (when?) we do it again!

Copperline Homes remodeled our existing kitchen, added a dining room extension that leads to the outdoor dining area and upgraded our living room. Josh and Mark are wonderful to work with. Specifically, they are incredibly responsive and also have a very experienced eye when it comes to design (eg that drawer pull, that sconce, tile--when you're not quite sure). They were on budget, and along the way were always communicative and thoughtful about money. They have built and remodeled many new and old houses and this one was 1930s. Whatever curveball was exposed in the demolition, they solved with architectural intelligence. We couldn't have been more pleased.

We purchased a house in North Rim built by “Copperline”, owned by Mark and Josh Wilhit. Our home is in Copperline Homes, Inc’s. webpage “Gallery” of homes built, and known as “The Hill”, just deleted 11/13/14. Not long after our purchase, our roof deck massively leaked into living space below. Through a third party we were informed that he leak was present during construction, and after completion. Their attempt to fix the leak lasted five and one half years. During in the process, Josh Wilhite said “we need to tear the whole roof deck off and start over” witnessed by both myself and my wife. That wasn't done, and instead band-aid fixes were attempted without success. Many times there were weeks and months when no one would show up. We now hope after the lengthy ordeal it is fixed. However, new issues developed, water intrusion, stucco failure, and discovery of code violations. The code violations are 1) no attic access in living space 2) no venting in two crawl spaces 3) no insulation or vapor barrier installed in one crawl space, and 4) according to a third party home inspector, improper vapor barrier installation in all crawl spaces. We have tried for over two years to get them to fix all the issues with no success. While they, at times, have offered to fix some of the problems we considered the fixes incomplete or inadequate. They requested I sign a “gag order”,and a complete release, I did not. We have third party bids to correct all the issues at $55,996. Accordingly, I would never recommend them for any of your projects.
