Gambrick

We hired Gambrick to build our new home in Mantoloking and they did an incredible job. The house has a classic shore look with lots of cedar and is on a canal so I wanted a home builder that was local and Gambrick was perfect. There was a ton of custom work in the house and they were able to do everything we wanted and then some, I especially love the sauna and Ipe decks. I recommend them to everyone I know. My wife and I hired Gambrick to build our home in Spring Lake. They did a fantastic job. We had an old home that they knocked down to build the new one and a set of plans we took 2 years to draw up. That was the hard part. Building the house and picking all the colors and materials was fun for us and they made it super easy. The home was higher end so we needed someone with the skill to build it and they did a great job. We don't have even a single complaint. I'd recommend them highly to anyone looking to build in the area. And the price was pretty good too so that's always a plus.

Gambrick did an amazing job building our home and I would recommend them highly. This was the first time building for us so we tried to do our home work, we worked with an architect and they recommended John so we met with him and a few other builders but ultimately hired Gambrick because we really like John and his work. We met with a few members of his crew on another home he was building and really liked them as well. Their work is beautiful and the price was good. We made a bunch of changes and additions along the way and they were always very patient and fair with everything we asked for and were always there to answer our questions and meet with us on site when we wanted to go over things. If your looking for a new home or really anything construction work I'm sure I'd call Gambrick.

Gambrick Did a great job building my home about 7 years ago, before hurricane Sandy. We live close to the water and were so worried about the house when the storm hit but we didn't get any damage at all. They all did such a great job for us. Our house is rock solid and exactly what we dreamed it could be. I worked with John and his architect for about 6 months drawing up plans and then permits took forever but once we got started it was a really smooth process, probably about 8 months to finish the house before we moved in. I really recommend you use them if your looking for a home builder at the Jersey shore or anywhere really if they'll travel to you. You won't find better. I know in my area everyone seems to use them and I've never heard a bad word about them so they must be doing something right.

I hired Gambrick about 8 years ago to design and build us a new home in Bayhead, NJ. They did a fantastic job with botht he design and the construction of the house. They took care of everything including the landscaping, hardscaping, pool, we did a poolhouse with a patio and kitchen area. We love every bit of it, it's a summer home mainly but we use it from time to time all year and have never had any issues with the house. It even survived hurrican Sandy without a scratch and hasnt needed any repairs at all. If it ever does or we decide to build a new home or remodel this one we'll be using Gambrick again.

Gambrick did a great job on our new home. My wife and I met with them about 2 years ago along with 2 other local builders and we decided to go with Gambrick mostly because we loved their work and felt really comfortable with the builder who met with us John. We had so many questions and he knew everything and had so much great advise for us. We had a good idea of what we wanted and once we hired John and worked with his architect they delivered, designed us a beautiful home and then spent the next year building it. We're on the Navasink so we had some special needs and John really delivered. Thanks so much guys, I'm happy to leave this review and recommend them highly.

We hired Gambrick in 2009 to build our new dream home in Red Bank NJ and then again in 2013 after Hurrican Sandy to do some repairs to the homes exterior. Both times they were excellent. The house is more than we dreamed it could be and Gambrick took great care of us and our home after it was damaged in the storm. We can't thank you guys enough and are happy to write this review and recommend them to anyone needing a new home built or work done to an existing one. They treated us like family and all the work was always done on time and for the price they quoted. No funny stuff or dishonesty at all, they gave us a price and did the work just as they said every time. Our home was quite expensive with very high end work so we had to find the right builder to do it and we looked and interviewed for months until we found John and his crews. All the subs were very nice and did great work and John was always there to oversee all the work and make sure it was done right. He was always in contact with us and made time whenever we had questions or wanted to meet.

John was so great and worked hard buinding us our dream home. After Sandy our house was destroyed and we needed someone local that had the experience building homes in our area. There were so many contractors everywher from all over after the storm we didnt know who to trust so it was so important to hire a local company that's been around for decades. John worked with us during the designing, met with us a dozen times at the architects office and gave us so much advice and guidance all through the process. They built the house for exactly what the quoted and it was a few weeks early. I recommend them to anyone looking to build a new home or do work on their house. I'll definitely use them again when I need any work done.

John and the entire Gambrick crew, architect and staff were all so great to work with. We hired them to build a new home for us after our old one was destroyed by hurricane sandy and they did an amazing job. The new home we built is our dream home and quite large so we really needed someone who knew what they were doing and had experience with waterfront homes because we are about a block fro the ocean. We hired them to do a design and build. They worked with us along with their architect to design the home and then they built it. Everything was so easy. They took care of just about everything for us. The house was done on time and for exactly the price they quoted. No hidden fees or anything like that, no surprises. We just love the house and would recommend them to anyone looking for a builder at the Jersey Shore.

Gambrick was so great. They put a 2nd story on our home and renovated the old first floor, garage and basement. Built an Ipe deck with patio area. We searched for almost a year and finally decided to go with Gambrick after meeting with the owner John. He worked with us for close to another full year developing plans and designing with us and his architect. Once all that was done the easiest part was actually construction. Everything went really smooth and the project was finished on time. We recommend Gambrick to everyone. Me and my wife and kids couldn't be happier with everything they did for us.

John and his team at Gambrick Custom Homes were wonderful. I needed to have my basement finished, along with building a full bath and a kitchen in this basement. I was having a parent move in and needed to convert my house. I was worried about the time and expense for a job like this. I received 3 quotes from the 7 builders I contacted. I never thought I needed to call so many, but many never showed up or refused to give me an estimate in writing. John was punctual and very professional. He never played games with his contract and the price stayed the same. The job was done less than the time he estimated. The workers were very clean and respectful in my house. They even helped move my parent personal belonging into the basement once the job was done. I thought it was a nice touch when John added some accessibility grab bars to the bathroom shower and toilet at no extra cost - but something I forgot to mention. I have had man compliment on my new basement. I could not have been happier. This job was done 7 months ago, but John asked me to provide a review for him on this website. I am very happy with Gambrick, specifically John, for all the great work done at my home. I turned to them to put a 2nd floor addition on my home and renovate my kitchen. I was worried about the stress of such a project. However, John made it easy from start to finish. He was able to work with my plans and make recommendations along the way. The project took many months, but it was well worth the wait. His crews were punctual and clean. He put everything in writing, including the terms of his warranty. There was a few change orders along the way because of some rotted wood that was found inside the exterior walls. But otherwise, I managed to keep the project within budget. Everyone that sees my home say how natural my addition looks and how excellent my kitchen turned out. I would recommend Gambrick to anyone looking for a great builder.
