We have been working with Kemp Construction for several years now, designing and supplying the custom closets.From a subcontractor perspective, Kemp construction is nothing other than a real pleasure to work with. Steve, Debbie, Mike, as well as the other employees are all very personable and professional. Projects simply run on time, on budget.

Kemp Construction were general contractors of a substantial renovation of our home, designed by SGDI. We are extremely happy with the results! Steve and his crew were lovely to deal with, very accommodating, very professional, and their work was, without exception, extremely well done. They paid lots of attention to detail which was appreciated by us! We are thoroughly impressed by the results of their work and are thoroughly enjoying our 'new' home!

We have been working with Kemp Construction for the past 5 years or so. We have designed many of projects for their clients and we have referred numerous of our clients to them to build for us. Each and every client has been thrilled with the results and has given nothing but praise to the Kemp team. They are honest, and have the best interests of their clients in mind at all times. We contacted Steve Kemp based on a recommendation of one of Vancouver's Georgie Award winners .We indicated we wanted to add a basement suite but the maximum ceiling we could attain was 6ft 8". Steve proposed two options, raise the house two feet or dig down two feet, the costs were roughly the same. My wife and I looked at these two options over a few days and she decided that we should dig down as she thought a strong foundation was of primary importance. Steve Kemp built a two bedroom basement suite with 8 ft ceilings by digging down 2 ft and underpinning the foundation. The result is a structurally sound foundation along with a bright, beautiful and comfortable suite. We are both pleased with the quality of workmanship and professionalism displayed by Steve Kemp. He guided us through the project with skill and patience, took time to listen to our wishes and concerns and was always responsive and helpful in giving sound advice. In this manner he was able to remain reasonably within budget and kept the lines of communication always open. Steve and his crew of Mike and Dave were always on time, worked safely and tirelessly with concern for our well-being as we occupied the upstairs while the excavation and underpinning took place beneath us. The open concept design of the kitchen, living room and dining room was achieved by removing two posts and installing an engineered beam which really opened up this space. The result was such an improved ambience to these rooms along with the introduction of natural light via huge windows and French doors from our southern exposure. We have had no major issues with the suite, mechanically his workmanship was sound. We are very pleased with the results and so have our two 6 ft tenants, brothers who have been living continuously in our beautiful bright Garden suite with 8 ft ceilings since 2013 with broad smiles and no complaints. Kemp Construction completed significant home renovations for us in early 2016. The scope of services included installation of a reconfigured new kitchen and master bedroom with walk-in closet and new ensuite bathroom, a new laundry room, an updated main bathroom and powder room, a new kitchen sitting area, and updated ceiling lighting across the entire main floor. The quality of work was excellent. The work started on schedule in early January, and was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule in mid March. The work was completed on budget, with only a couple of owner requested change orders. I would highly recommend Kemp Construction.

After deciding we needed a reno of our ground floor, we then faced the challenge of finding a reputable contractor. After research and phone calls we found Kemp Construction. It was the right decision. The workers did a great job and cleanned up after themselves every day. If there were any problems Steve was on it right away and always kept us informed. If we had to do another reno, our first call would be to Kemp Construction.

After meeting with a number of builders and sharing our renovation design plan, we hired Kemp Construction, as they felt like a good match and their quote and timeline worked for us. We are both pleased and relieved to say that the project was completed on time and on budget! The Kemp team was very professional and their friendly nature and positive working relationships with the trades and the design team, kept the project moving and communications open. Having people in your house can be a challenge but we were always happy to see Mike Chase, our project manager, who was easy to work with and went out of his way to make things happen. Although our house is 25 years old, our new kitchen is both beautiful and functional, our ensuite is a joy, and the overall refresh has added to the creation of a warm, comfortable, current and inviting living space. Thank you Steve, Debbie, Mike and your team - we are thrilled that we made the decision to hire Kemp Construction to complete our renovation and we are proud of our newly renovated home.
