Steve and his employees were wonderful to work with. They were very creative, insightful and thorough when it came to the design. And there attention to detail in the construction was awesome and greatly appreciated especially since it was a long distance construction job. Steve was very good with the communication and weekly pictures to show the progress. We would highly recommend Northwest Carpentry.

The quality of our home was exceptional. We interviewed several builders in the Traverse City area and chose Northwest Carpentry. The owner Steve Eveleigh, listened to our ideas and incorporated them in the build. He had several of his own and our house turned out beautifully. Steve is a professional and a perfectionist and paid great attention to detail. His employees and subcontractors did the same. We couldnt be happier.

I hired Northwest Carpentry to build by 3-bedroom, 2-bath lake house after receiving and evaluating 3 competitive bids. Project was 100% complete 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Final cost was within 3% of contract cost. Quality and workmanship is impeccable. NO DRAMA - I live 400 miles from build site - honest, thorough, and timely communications ALWAYS! Steve employs reputable tradesmen (electrical, HVAC, insulation, plumbing, etc) with whom he has long-term relationships. All permits and inspections completed flawlessly. Payment schedule and subsequent release of liens well-planned in advance and executed without surprise or problems. Great coordination with my architect early in the process. Northwest Carpentry and Steve Eveleigh have my UNCONDITIONAL recommendation - ABSOLUTE BEST!

Steve and his crew impressed our entire neighborhood as they built our home on Huellmantel Lake. The worksite was tidy, they were friendly and they did a totally quality job, that was obvious to all who were watching. We truly enjoyed working with Steve - he's thoughtful, intuitive, a straight shooter, and has a good sense of humor. We love the house, and he's been very responsive to any questions or concerns that we've had (which have been few). We tell people all of the time that we'd build another house with him tomorrow!

We have been so impressed by Steve Eveleigh, Northwest Carpentry LLC. We are building a 2nd home on Grand Traverse Bay. So we can not be onsite vey often. Steve is easy to communicate with, on time, on budget, and is transparent with all charges. He comes up with creative ideas on design issues that arise. The jobsite is clean and that to me is a reflection of attention to detail and quality of the workmanship. This is not our first homebuild. We built our first home downstate with another builder and he was the builder from hell. So it has been an absolute pleasure and relief to work with such an honest, hardworking, efficient, professional builder as Steve and his team.

Steve and the team at Northwest Carpentry built our house this year. It was a great experience! We have never had a house built before but felt very supported and informed from start to finish. Changes that we made along the way and challenges that came up on our building site were taken in stride and dealt with professionally. Part of our agreement was that we would do the cultured stone work on the fireplace. Steve made sure we had all the materials, equipment and encouragement to do this job. In the end we have a wonderful home; well made as well as nice looking! We are very thankful for the work that has been done, and very much enjoyed the process.
