When we decided to build a detached ADU in our backyard in La Jolla, we were nervous about the process. Nothing goes perfectly but Rom Builders made it as smooth as is possible for a construction project of this size. As with all construction projects, you have to stay on top of things and there are many decisions to make along the way. They walked us through design options, helped us maximize the space, and were able to match the look to our main home. The crew was respectful of our property and kept the worksite clean every day with few exceptions. Our ADU was completed on schedule and if not for delays in permitting from the city, it would have been even faster.
