Thia Bartlett has worked on several slipcovering and upholstery projects with me. I say "with me" because one of the fabrics, in particular, featured a complex print that required discussion and careful matching. Another job required her to figure out how to solve a difficult problem with seat cushions. Thia's workmanship is outstanding. In addition, her estimates of cost and when a job will be finished have always been accurate. I recommend her highly.

The Bartlett Studio has a well established reputation for quality design. Her expertise, her great eye for color and pattern and years of experience all play a part in creating comfortable, yet elegant interior spaces. Thia listens to her clients and makes the design process flow.

I looked to give Thia a 6th star but it wasn’t there! Thia has an incredible eye and provides amazing solutions to problem situations. Our home is really a small cottage with lots of angles, windows, and modest sized rooms that you wouldn’t find in a more conventional house. We are always looking for subtle matches of color (against off white walls) to interest the eye but not overtire and to provide each room a unique feel. (Many of the rooms are visible for others so there needs to be a continuity as well.) Thia has worked with us to great effect. Equally important to me personally, I love fabric and Thia is beyond patient. She allows me to share in the creative process, directing me gently in this direction and that, exercising a gentle hand to help us use our resources wisely but allow for some luxuries in the process. In the end, Thia, my husband, and I all work as a team and Scott and I always feel that the end result is our very own but one we know we could not have begun to achieve without Thia’s talent and counsel. Also, important to note is that the quality of the workmanship, which either Thia directs or which she undertakes herself, is unparalleled.

I worked with Bartlett Design for a few years, and will use their services again. The owner is very talented -- her work is amazing -- she did all of the window treatments in my home- and slipcovers for three sofas. Her turn around time on projects was always reasonable. I recently moved my dental practice to a new 4500 sq ft space. Not only did we find Bartlett Design Studio to be exceptionally receptive to our thoughts, they were perfect in their interpretation, fabrication, and delivery! We receive compliments daily, from our patients, about our color scheme, window treatments, and upholstery. In fact, we may have given out all of the business cards we were given!

I have worked with Thia Bartlett exclusively for the past 15 years. Her expertise and experience have always made the design process a pleasure. She is a creative problem-solver who made our house a home, even when the planning and execution was done long-distance. Workmanship is excellent!! The projects were always completed in a timely manner. I have had many projects done including, drapes, pillows, comforters, bed skirts, tablecloths, window seats, slip covers, and have always had chairs recovered.

I had the best experience with Bartlett Studio . They had beautiful fabrics and trimmings to work with . They worked on upholstery , slip overs and pillows . We worked on living room furniture , dining room chairs and den pieces . Some of the pieces were antiques that we found in our barn . Some where pieces that just needed new material . All the pieces look amazing now . Great attention to detail .
