We are very sorry to see this review and to know that Jing had such a bad experience with Blend i.d.s.
Unfortunately, this project started on our end on April 2017 for design but was not actually implemented in any way, shape, or form until Feb 2018 (beginning) for reasons that involved the contractor the client chose. I believe her frustration unraveled by the end of the project since the condo sat empty for 10 months before construction even began. Because of this situation, some lines began to blur about what our role was in the process. We were hired as the interior designers and not the project managers of this job, that is what the contractor was hired for and what our contract states. Furthermore, there was a language barrier with the contractor, making any communication between us impossible.
Due to the extended timeline, we re-selected all the original items specified almost a year before, at no additional charge, because nothing was current any longer. Somewhere along the lines of re-selecting items we did mistakenly select a bed that did not fit; we had mentioned numerous times to the client that a king bed was too large for the small room, but she was insistent. We were also tasked with responsibilities like assembling furniture, cleaning and shopping for toiletries, which was not in the scope of work in our contract.
This and other contractual agreements were ignored by the client, including purchasing agreements and other processes already outlined in the contract which made this a challenging job for us as well.
Ultimately, despite all the delays and the extended scope of work, the end result was a beautifully transformed space, as you can see from the before and after photos above of the Little Grey Matter Project.
