Kimberly has a true knack understanding your likes and dislikes when it comes to your personal design preferences. She was patient looking for the ideal wallpaper to fill our space...not letting us just settle. Having her discerning designer eye was very helpful indeed!

My husband and myself used Kimberly when choosing our colour choices and materials being used in our first and second homes. I hired Wake Designs with respects to a renovation project that required moving critical areas of our home in order to make a functional space with a quality design that would entail a higher resale value. There were two main areas that were key in the renovation project; The kitchen and the bathroom. Kim (founder of Wake Designs) was extremely professional, and was pleasant to work with. Two key characteristics that are important during an almost always stressful renovation. Kim provided various layouts, and explained the pros and cons of each, whilst incorporating our own style and thoughts into the mix. We ended up doing a design for each the bathroom and kitchen, and they've become the focal points of the home. In addition to getting the compliments we do, we find the rooms highly functional, which is key for your day-to-day living. I would highly recommend using Wake Designs for that professional advice needed when taking on such an important decision such as remodeling a home.

Wake Designs was engaged at the onset of the concept. During her first consultation we discussion my functional & program requirements, as well as concepts schemes that I ultimately desired. She took the time to understand how I used the space now and how I understood the space to be used in the future. From this stage she was able to provide four concept plans that meet my functional and program requirements but all presented all new alternatives that I did not consider or imagined my space could be accommodate. From here, she helped me finalize finishes, textures, materials, furniture,etc.. that all suitable the concept and my preference. she provided advice of what furniture and textures/finishes would work well together and provide her opinion if she felt it was not a good decision to match two pieces. From her we organized time to purchase the product. Her service to say thorough would not justify the full extend of the quality she provided.

Full renovation of 3 bedroom apartment. Very professional and organized form the start during orientation to project management, to completion. Very patient, since this was the first time working with a designer. Not all wish list items could be delivered as hoped but overall happy. I would most definitley recommend Kimberly again to anyone.

Kimberly Wake provided a completely objective evaluation of a project we are considering. In this crazy real estate market, the decision to buy a new home is one of the most difficult decisions my family has ever made. The valuations are so high that a refresh on a beautiful existing home on a prime lot, seems to make the most economic sense. It was clear by our conversation with Kimberly that her primary goal was not to convince us to do a $ 200,000 renovation, but rather sound advise that will help us decide whether to renovate, build new, or buy a resale home. I doubt we would have had so many great design ideas and advise from a contractor, with a profit motive. Kimberly has incredible design sense in a range of tastes, but her clean contemporary looks are the ones that appeal to me the most.
