Correy Design

I have chosen to work with Correy Design three different times. My initial experience was so positive. She listened, helped me define my style, paid attention to any budget constraints I had and designed a beautiful interior for our new home. When we moved to another property we did the same thing. End results were my style but all her design and space ideas for the interior. I recommended her to others and she did the same amazing work for them. She listens, brings new ideas, helps me stretch what I envision to new and exciting results. But still my style, my comfort level.

We hired this person based on a referral from a relative to assist us with our kitchen and family room remodel. Our project started in August 2017 and is not yet completed as of this writing (July 2018). This person charged us an unbelievable $8,700 in "design fees" alone and never saw the project to its completion. She left our project just as the kitchen cabinets got installed (April 2018), but she made sure her fee was paid before she departed. Lesson learned: NEVER pay any contractor the full amount before the job is done. Our project turned into a complete disaster! Her measurements were off to such a degree that our ovens did not fit (oven cabinet she ordered too small), the cooktop did not fit (cooktop cabinet she ordered too small), Refrigerator did not fit (she failed to monitor the installer and the space he made turned out too small. Furthermore, we had to order two new cabinets with different sizes because her measurements were incorrect. Unbelievable project delays were encountered as it took us 4 complete rounds of ordering cabinet parts to correct mistakes her chosen cabinet supplier (Mid Continent) made. We are still today waiting for cabinet replacement parts. Our installation costs have spiraled out of control as each turn with new cabinet parts requires us to call back the installer. This person is not up to speed with current design tools and handicaps her clients by providing only 2D drawings that don't enable you to visualize what you're about to pay for. Mostly absent from the job site and full of excuses when she does not deliver what you expected. What a nightmare!

If you are looking for an upscale design company. This is a great choice. From start to finish this team is always there. Friendly, available and very professional. I would highly recommend Corey Design!

I worked with Correy Design on two total bathroom remodels in our cabin and was extremely pleased with the end result! Cathie and Hoppy are both great to work with, and it's convenient to have both the design expertise and the contracting/construction expertise under the same roof. Cathie did an excellent job listening to my design goals and balancing those with her own design expertise to ultimately come up with an awesome end product. Hoppy's ability to take the design and actually make it happen is outstanding. His attention to detail is apparent in the results! In the end, my expectations were exceeded and I have received many compliments on how excellent the bathrooms look now. I highly recommend Correy Design and would definitely use them again in the future!

Correy Design is the only "go to" company in Big Bear. When it comes to kitchen and bathroom remodels they help you from concept to completion. They are reliable, professional and do beautiful work. Look no further for your dream remodel.

Working with Correy Design was very much a pleasure. Cathie designed the complete remodel of my cabin from new bathrooms, a complete new kitchen, new interior and exterior paint and new flooring. All aspects of the project were exactly what I was looking and hoping for. Her product knowledge, professionalism, communication and pricing was excellent from our first meeting till project completion. Hoppy did all the cabinet, countertop, lighting and finish work as only a true craftsman can. I will not hesitate to work with Correy Design in the future.

The entire project was designed by Cathy of Correy Design,with input from me, and installed by Hoppy, her husband. The project entailed the kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway and one bath room. All new hickory cabinets were installed, oak hardwood flooring, granite counter tops, rock back splash, new range, stainless steel sink, wainscoting in the bath which was personally designed and installed by Hoppy, a tree branch that went from floor to vaulted ceiling, led lighting in the ceiling as well as the glass front cabinets, lighting under the cabinets and a chandelier. The entire project took about 10 weeks and I was able to live in the house the entire time. The construction was always cleaned up at the end of each work day. Over all, the project had a fabulous outcome and is certainly a top designer result. I don't feel I could have had a better outcome from any other contractor. It was just great!!!!!

Cathy and Hobby remodeled my kitchen in 2014. They are a wonderful team. They are professional, creative, responsive and produced amazing results. I love my kitchen! Cathy is a good listener and came up with a design that fit all my requirements (not easy) and offered so many great ideas that I'd never considered. She was also very respectful of my desire to hang on to some of my old ways and things and was able to work it into the design. For example, she and Hoppy took my precious antique ceramic and metal light fixture and had it painted to match my new colors, which meant I could keep this unique piece and it looks adorable! I would hire them again and recommend them highly.

Cathy was awesome! She helped take a few ideas I had about remodeling my kitchen and turned it into something unique that perfectly fit my style. She and her husband helped me to find great design ideas for my kitchen that were within my budget. They helped me incorporate some personalized elements so that my kitchen was ideal for me. Even though I was away for most of the construction process Cathy and her husband were able to get the project done on time.

We had our 1970's kitchen remodel with marble counters and new back splash. The workers were professional and finished the job in a timely basis. At one point the back splash over the stove was a bit larger then required and Correy Design Hoppy had them remove it and start over again. We were very pleased with the outcome.

I highly recommend Correy Design. After a consultation, she drew up a design for a new kitchen at our vacation home. We used her suggestions in regards to a local contractor. Since we were not on sight, Cathie totally oversaw the project. She sent us weekly emails with updates on the progress of the demolition and construction and delivery of items and better yet, stayed within our budget. I 100% recommend Correy Design and the contractors she suggested.

Corry Design Grupo provided the design and construction for my master bathroom. I like the work they did. As a professional I do similar work on a commercial level. While they are experts in their field and I like the work they did at time the project was a struggle. timely completion was an issue and installing systems that I specifically requested like an under floor heating. They did not want to do it so I did it for them. I would hire them again. the work they did was competent and professional.
